His hair never looks out of place, even though it looks ruffled and windswept. His mouth is almost always upturned in a cocky smile, perfectly matching his mischievous eyes that seem like they could swallow you whole if you started too long into them.
Destin puts a lot of effort into his appearance, though he tries to play it off nonchalantly. Whatever the situation, Destin dresses for the part - though often this makes his trademark tophat seem out of place. For everyday loungewear, Destin wears jeans and obscure band t-shirts, though for going out in public he would generally swap out the t-shirts for a button-up. Despite this, it is not uncommon to see him in workout clothes in the dorms, whether before exercising or after. Destin keeps about half a dozen leather wristbands on his person, whether in his bag, in pockets, or on his wrists. Always hidden by his clothes, Destin has a tattoo of a fox on his shoulder.
When sneaking about at night with his magic hat, Destin wears a well-fitted black suit with a raven mask.
Personality Description:.Destin’s personality is flexible and never well defined. To a teacher, he is the model student. Always finding something to impress them with, whether it be a complex answer to the complex question or a project done with such meticulousness that it hardly seems like a school project and more like a lifelong study.
To his fellow students, Destin wears many different hats. To the athletes and popular crowd, he’s the next world leader. For the ‘science geeks’ and ‘nerds’ he’s an ultimate dungeon master. The ‘degenerates’ and ‘goths’ he’s known to be a trickster. He hates feeling out of control, and can't stand being ignored, but if that's what it takes to make the entire school like him, he'll put up with it.
Without any of the aforementioned hats, Destin is a very laid-back person. He doesn't attempt anything too complicated if it won't achieve anything not related to his social life, relationships included, but he constantly flirts with girls and guys alike. He spends a lot of time working behind the scenes to keep up the façade, then just slouches down and takes a nap.
As a villain, Destin goes by the name of Nabu. His objective is to mentally torment the ‘good guys’ by sending them on wild goose chases and otherwise efficiently wasting their time with irritating and useless tasks. His ‘evil’ persona is cocky and pretends to enjoy watching others struggle, but his main focus is always on keeping his ‘prey’ safe from the real criminals.
Active Abilities: Hat Tricks: Destin uses a magic top hat for his tricks and spells. It usually provides what he needs to accomplish the task, but can be rather unpredictable at times. When asked specifically for something, regardless of the amount of detail, it will give something entirely different. On the other hand, making a vague request with the specific item in your mind's eye will give you exactly what you wanted. ie, asking for a blue balloon and getting a rubber hedgehog, or asking for something that floats while thinking of a blue balloon and getting exactly that.
Objects exit the hat with varying speeds, so it's never a good idea to try and catch the item, however this also makes it a makeshift cannon. Asking for something round while facing the opening of the hat towards the target might release dozens of marbles to the ground or an iron ball at 20 km/h. Of course, the hat always poses a danger to Destin as well, as the object he wants might attempt to hit him as it leaves the hat, or reveal his location with a sudden burst of confetti.
The hat is simply a normal top hat for everyone else, however if a “magical girl” touches it their power will stop functioning normally. Powers might have half the power they usually would, or three times as much. It's a roll of the dice as to what may happen.
Passive Abilities: Destin is capable of sensing the presence of magical girls, however this is usually strongest when he's near the hat. He can't identify exactly who amongst a crowd, but he can always tell if they're there. Sometimes the sense is off, or dead wrong, but usually functions fine.

Biography: Destin had a very normal and very dull childhood. Raised by a father who worked in accounting, and a mother who taught at the local elementary school, he didn't get to see an uncensored world until his first year of middleschool.
Destin was always popular and well liked, and quickly fell into place at the top of the food chain. Grade rep, then upwards to student council president. He listened to the students and teachers, pulled strings from the shadows to bring exactly the wrong people together to stay in power.
Mid-way through his first year of highschool, Destin’s uncle disappeared and left most of his belongings to his sister and Destin’s mother. Among these possessions, was a slightly tattered old top hat that Destin was automatically drawn to. He heard whispering in a nonsensical language. The moment he touched the hat, the world exploded. Everything seemed brighter and darker at the same time. A black feathered mask appeared inside the hat, and he could feel some strange foreign power nestle inside of him.
The following day, Destin became aware of a new secret. One of his classmates was a magical girl. He focused his attention on her, wooing the girl until she was helplessly in love with him by day, and harassing her with wild goose chases at night when she tried to fight crime as a magical girl. He didn't care much for the girl, but nothing he had her do was dangerous enough to harm her. She, on the other hand, loved going into dangerous situations and died five months later in the midst of a kidnapping.She had been too intent on saving the small child to notice the target on her back until the bullet pierced her skin.
Destin, without knowing why, was devastated. Not only had he lost a toy, but also his reason for continuing at school. He ran away from home and wandered the country in search of a new hero to bother. Nearly a year later he caught wind of an island where magic powers were encouraged and protected. If he was going to find a magical girl, he knew he would find her there.
Resources: Destin, while still considered to be under the care of his parents, is fiercely independent, and refuses to accept help from them. He stays in the school dorms, and will occasionally do odd-jobs around town when he has spare time.
