Cosette was very much used to being nervous. She had been living in a constant state of alert and nervousness for two years now, and to her mind and body it was as natural as breathing or drinking at this point. But despite that Cosette was nervous now, as she sat on a bench near the edge of the Strip, waiting for a complete stranger that she wasn't sure was even going to come. But Cosette would wait, she was desperate and she hoped this person would be able to help her. If their flyer was anything to go by they could be the answer to Cosette's prayers.

Cosette had her hood drawn over her head and her jacket was the baggiest possible, hiding her face and curves that could stimulate sexual attraction in the people that walked past her on the street. It was one of the few ways Cosette was able to be safe and not get harassed because of her aura, but it didn't always work. Thankfully now it seemed to be working, since no one spared Cosette a second glance, they just walked by. It was an immense relief for her.
Cosette had told the person what she'd be wearing and where she was, and she kept carefully observing the crowd and looking for a person that looked lost or like they were looking for someone.

Garrett was familiar with this area, mostly due to the fact Dionte's apartment wasn't too far from here. Still he didn't have much reason to really come here. He practically avoided the place because it was never really his "style".

Here he was though, back here because he got another request. Garrett nearly forgot about the flyers he put up. It wasn't until he got some call from to come out here to help train some random stranger to fight? It was an odd request considering there was way more licensed places and probably bettet people for the job....but here he was.
He knew what she was wearing at least which was helpful considering all the weirdness about this but he wasn't going to complain. No questions asked.

After walking around a bit past all the probably drug dealers and also probably prostitutes, Garrett was preeeetty sure he spotted her. Sure enough to approach that is.

Cosette stood up after some time, she felt too anxious and fidgety to stay sitting. The jacket stayed baggy enough to hide the most of her curves as she paced a little bit, still people didn't so much as look at her. Though Cosette was too focused on observing the crowd to notice that. Eventually she did see a person that, when seeing her, started approaching and Cosette's nervousness spiked for a moment. But she was mentally ready for this, or at least she hoped she was.

Cosette waited until the man came over to her, and she pulled her hood back enough so he could see her face and the small friendly smile Cosette had on it.
"Good afternoon. Are you, um, the person I talked to on the phone?"
She asked with a testing but still friendly tone. Few people who walked past glanced at Cosette and got enamoured for a moment, but not enough to stay and stare, or worse, try to do something.

When Ghum got closer he noticed something. She was freaking short. Like reaaaally short. Then when she pulled down the hood he wasn't really expecting her to look like that. He thought this was going to be- Actually he wasn't sure what he thought this was. Still he was here now and couldn't really back out unless something illegal happens.

"Yep. That was me. Garrett Stone." He popped out his signature finger guns greeting and smiled. Classic Garrett 101. Geez was she a cutie... but minor destractions aside, he had business to attend to.

"Alright. Training. No questions asked.....except for..." Garrett looked around as he examined the area. "Where you want to train at?"

Cosette noticed the height difference, but she was short and was used to most people being taller than her, so Cosette put it aside quickly. The man didn't seem dangerous, or so Cosette thought after she took a quick look at him from head to toe. It wasn't polite to oggle too much, so Cosette kept her eyes on the man's as he introduced himself. In a rather unique manner at that. It made Cosette chuckle and she nodded a bit, still having a friendly smile on her face.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Stone. I'm Alice. Thank you very much for taking time to come and see me. I'm very grateful for it."
Cosette's tone was sincere and so was her expression as she looked up at Garrett.

Cosette blinked a bit when Garrett did indeed jump right into the point. Cosette had explained her needs in the phone, also the fact that she was unable to give any details about herself, but it was still surprising when Garrett didn't really ask anything at all. Cosette herself wanted to make some things clear before they started anything.
"I must warn you about some of my...abilities before we begin."
Cosette said and raised the arm that she was wearing her aura warning bracelet.
"I have an aura that...causes me to seem alluring, and makes others want me, if they feel...sexually attracted to me."
Saying it out loud made Cosette blush a bit and she cleared her throat a bit before continuing.
"I understand if you won't help me because of it, it makes many people uncomfortable. But it's only fair you know about this."

"Anything to help." Garrett grinned more. He was feeling good about this one. So far no bullshit was happening or anything that would be considered breaking the law. No dressing up as an animal or any other weird shit people had him do before. Training her should be easy if that was all it was.

"Oh that might be a bit of an issue." Great. One of those auras. It was already bad enough that he just started to fully experience his feelings and auras were always a tricky business and of all auras it was an attraction one. Garrett just shrugged it off.

"I'm going to still train you. I can control myself or better control myself since I am aware of it. If I get too uh wanting we can take a break." Garrett nodded. Sounds like a solid plan to him. Still it wasn't a perfect plan.

"Is there a reasonable distance I can stand at to lessen the affects? Reasonable enough for me to still be able to train you that is."

Cosette looked down briefly in embarrassment and shame when Garrettnsaid her aura might be an issue. As she thought, he was possibly unwilling to help her if it meant possibly being affected by her aura. Even though this aura was the very reason Cosette wanted to learn how to defend herself.

Just when Cosette was preparing herself to face rejection and still smile through it Garrett said he was going to train her in any case, and Cosette looked up at him in surprise and a moment later joy. She felt the urge to take Garrett's hand or even hug him from gratitude, but even Cosette realized that was inappropriate since they had just met and so she merely smiled happily at him.
"Thank you so much. I promise you I will do my utmost best and wear my most hideous, baggiest clothes in order to ease your burden."
Cosette said with determination and she nodded a bit.

"The measured range of my aura is 16ft, if you stand beyond that distance it shouldn't affect you."
With that what Cosette wanted to say was done, and she gestured slightly towards an alley next to them.
"Then, please follow me. I have a place where we can train without interruptions."

Cosette walked into the alley, and through multiple twists, turns and shortcuts she lead them in a spacey, square-shaped area that was lined with windowless building walls. The only entrance and exit on the ground was the one Cosette and Garrett entered from, unless you could fly, of course.
Cosette turned to smile at Garrett, and backed up so she stood more than 16ft away from him.
"I hope this place is good enough for our needs."

Garrett let out a laugh when he saw her face lit up in surprise or whatever emotion she was feeling. Just seeing that made him feel good? He still wasn't sure if that is what he was feeling from helping people or trying to feel. He didn't understand half the emotions he felt anyway. Well she also seemed even more ready for the training now that he still agreed to train her.
"Baggy clothes? They usually get in the way in stuff like fighting. Just makes it harder to move around."

Well once she told him the range he made sure to keep a good distance away as he followed her through this....odd maze of alleys. He guess she was leading him to like a super hidden private gym but boy was he wrong. They were going to do this in some large open alley way outside. It was hidden enough that someone could get mugged and killed here without anybody noticing a decaying body laying around for a long time.

"Hm." Garrett walked around examing the area. "This is good. No equipment though but that's fine." He tilted his head to the side and eyed Cosette. No questions, he agreed to the no questions part but he wanted to ask a few. "So training? You want to get stronger to defend yourself? Assuming because of your aura right? You are a bit small so we are going to have to work with that to your advantage."

Garrett tapped his chin and straightned himself up. He then began to remove his jacket revealing nothing but a simple tank top. "Do you know the basics or anything defensive?"

Cosette waited patiently as Garrett looked around the area they were in, she could see it wasn't exactly what he had been expecting. Cosette didn't have a place available indoors, where they could train without the possibility of getting seen or caught. Cosette had found this place after she had run away from some assaulters, it was well-hidden and you couldn't find it easily if you didn't know to look for it.
"Yes, I'm sorry for the minimal circumstances, I couldn't prepare anything better."
Cosette sounded and looked apologetic and she rubbed her hands together a bit. It was a miracle in her books that this man was still here and willing to teach her.

Naturally Garrett had some questions, thankfully none Cosette couldn't answer, and she nodded.
"Yes, because of my...occupation I experience a lot of situations where my aura causes me to get assaulted. I would like to have a fighting chance, so to say."
Cosette explained and smiled slightly, she knew that even if she had some fighting skills it was still a slim chance she could get away if someone truly tried to...well...
"I trust your judgement, although I cannot see how my size could give me any advantages."

Cosette was a bit surprised when Garrett took of his jacket and she saw what he was wearing underneath. Cosette was worried he would get cold, but suppose teaching fighting was inconvenient in a jacket. Garrett did say that baggy clothes got in the way. Well, if he did get cold Cosette was ready to give him her jacket, even if it was small it could offer some extra warmth.
"Oh, I carry with me some pepper spray and a taser, and I know how to use them, but otherwise I do not have any defensive skills."

Garrett sorta stared at her for a bit. "Occupation? I know where we are and the types of jobs that are in this area. You job puts you in dangerous positions with strangers I'm assuming." He was getting an idea. He kinda had to live in this area for a few months after all.
"You don't have to tell me what you do especially if it's something illegal."
He was not going get in trouble with the law from some stranger. If it was Chloe then yeah but she wasn't Chloe.

"Right, well usually small sizes mean you are most likely quicker than bigger people. Not counting the supernatural side of things." Because if he did count that, even defense lessons probably wouldn't help her for some people. Then again he had no idea what she was.
"I'm assuming you are a human and don't have much going for you power wise. So that's why we are going to try to ignore all that junk for now."

"So if you are quicker and smaller it is easy to run and hide but in case of fighting you can dodge faster. Though you aren't a fighter so I don't expect you to have good dodging skills." He shrugged. Guess he will just have to make a fighter out of her someway.

Garrett nodded when she told him what she had. He guess they were okay and the very basic items of self defense. No skills do so that means they have to start off with the basics. He made his way closer to her so he can stand in front of her, way in range of the aura.

"First, give your best shot. Hit me as hard as you can." He wanted to test two things: if she could throw a mean punch and if she knew where to punch.
