Sazz was a bit surprised that they even seemed a little willing to at least hear out his reasoning. "This isn't about making me look good. I don't really care about that. And I don't do pity, this is just me trying to help you settle and make friends. Because that's what friends do, Tril."

Sazz looked at Tril and shrugged as he started to move towards the edge of the room. "I don't know. You'd be up one friend. The choice is yours to make though I get the feeling no amount of reassurances from me will convince you though. You're just going to have to gamble a bit."

Tril hissed in frustration. Caught between their very obvious and crushing loneliness and an overbearing feeling that this was indeed just Sazz showing off again at their expense. Like always. "I don't believe you. You were ready to be enemies when I said you were pretending to be better than me. You wanted to destroy everything I have and crush me earlier, remember? You trapped me in here to force me to talk to you. Whatever you say, this is still all about you and what you want- to prove you're better than me and everyone else."

They shoved over one desk and then a second one. No longer bothering to throw things at him because there was no point. "I've had real friends before. They had my back, they helped when I wanted to cause mischief or go on a hunt, and they didn't trap me in salt to make me do what they wanted. But it doesn't matter does it? Because I don't have them here. You're all gloaty because you know I have nothing to lose and no other real options but to say yes."

They crossed their arms and just stared Sazz in the eyes.

"Yeah I made a lot of mistakes, but it's not exactly like you were giving me many choices either. You hit a sore spot so I lashed out. Then whenever I tried to see if I could make it right you just ran away. It's all you ever do isn't it? But whatever. I'm not going to make you do anything you don't want to do. Not anymore," he started to pull the salt to the palm of his hand with his telekinesis. "You gave me your answer, so I think we're done here aren't we?"

He sounded more tired than anything else as he moved around, collecting each individual grain of salt, and depositing it all in a bag. After that he started setting the chairs and desks back in their proper order despite it being an unused class. When all that was done, he sat back at one of the desks.

Tril shrugged. They didn't feel very much inclined to answer any more questions. But they did say one last thing, "Yes, done. Friend. But don't try this again. Then you really will have to kill me."

And then they dispersed into the air, slipping out of the ring of salt now that he'd ended the conversation. Not even attempting to help clean up at all. They felt there was no reason they should.

"Don't threaten me. It's not like you're the loser here," he sighed after Tril exited. It seemed like a win on the surface, but it didn't feel like one. Sazz hated losing, he wasn't sure what he'd lost, but something was lost.

A few more moments passed, and Sazz opted to lay his head down on the desk thinking. Things were settled for now, but how would this go down the road? Only time would tell if this would in fact lead to something more positive.
