Things had changed quickly, wasn't that long ago he was just a vampire kid, now he turned out to be something else. A demon, of the lust variety, it had flipped his life upside down, everything seemed different. People seemed to treat him differently, some were already harassing him along with the rumos.

He looked tired as he walked through the library, he didn't actually require sleep as long as he stayed fed, but he felt emotionally and mentally drained. That said, he was researching demons, his mom had never told him or Alma about their demonic heritage, so now that he knew, he intended to learn what he could.

So he walked along, occasionally picking up a book about his father Asmodeus or demons in general. In truth he wasn't really sure what to do about everything, but he needed something to focus on. @Kait

Now that Chloe's last final was over, she was back in the library again, looking through the demonology section. Even on her own time, she wanted to keep learning about this stuff. If that wasn't a sign that she was studying the right subject, she didn't know what was.

She felt him before she saw him - Alvin? No, that didn't sound right, but she knew it started with an A and ended with an N. Either way, she'd heard of the rumors attached to him now. One of her friends with the DSU had filled her in over a lunch period. Now she saw him picking up books in the demonology section.

Maybe she was projecting, but Chloe thought she knew what he was doing with all those books. It was the same thing she had done when people kept telling her she was probably a demon, when she was new at the school. He was trying to learn more about what he was.

She realized she was staring at him, and he'd probably noticed by now. Her gaze drifted to the books he was holding.

"...Would you like some help looking for books? I've studied a lot of demonology already, so..."

He'd noticed her pop up and start starring at him, he tried ignoring her for bit. It'd been happening a lot lately, he wasn't sure if it was because of the rumors or something else, so he went about his business, uncertain of which books would be best for what he was talking about. Then the girl spoke, he turned to look at her, she looked familiar, from the demon club he'd seen around.

"Uh....yeah maybe," he looked down in the books he held, no idea which were legit and which was filled with bullshit. "Just...doing a bit of reading," he looked up at her, he knew why she was probably talking to him, the rumors.

Aaron sighed, his shoulders sorta slumping down, he felt drained on so many levels. "I have no idea what I'm doing," he admitted, "just...sorta came here and starting grabbing everything I could find." She was a demon, so he assumed he wouldn't have to worry about any bigotry from her, "guess you've....you've heard the rumors."

"Yeah... but honestly, I sort of noticed before the rumors started." Chloe extended a hand. "I'm Chloe Black, by the way."

She felt for him. This was probably one of the worst ways someone could learn they were a demon - worse than what she went through, at least. Her friend had said over lunch that what's-his-name had a nasty breakup with his girlfriend over this. She wondered how they found out.

"So, between you and me, I only learned demons were real when I got here, and I had no idea that I was one." As she spoke, she looked through the bookshelves, finger running along the books, eyes scanning titles. "That's part of what got me into this stuff. But it's a pretty deep rabbit-hole, and - here it is. Take this." She took a book off the shelf and handed it to him, entirely abandoning that line of conversation.

"You're going to want to put most of those back and start with this. This book gives an overview on different kinds of demons, and the author knows about the multifarious hells. That book you have there is actually about the wrong Asmodeus, but at least you would understand it. It's a decent read."

He shook her hand, a small smile on his face, he tried to be positive and happy even when things got hard. "Aaron Malivani, it's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard of you around school, head of the DSU," he felt ok now, having a normal conversation, or as normal as this could be.

"Rabbit hole with hundreds of tunnels," he added with a chuckle as he watched look through the books, "try to learn a little, end up having to read a lot, not a problem really, just no idea where to start." His mind was a little bit overwhelmed, by it all.

He tool the book with a grateful nod. "Wrong Asmodeus....right, multiverse, different hells," he quickly put that book back along with the other useless ones. "You'd think I'd know between the different Asmodeus, one is my dad afterall," he had bit frustration in his voice, it had all been hard adapting to.

"Sorry," he gave her an apologetic smile, "it's all be sorta crazy last few days, trying to get everything sorted." He looked at the book she'd given him, "I'm.....it's changed a lot more than I expected," he was going to have to visit the brothels soon, ironically, he had no sexual experience.

Right. Aaron. She wasn't that far off.

Chloe was back to looking for another book - this one about lust demons specifically - but she was still listening to him. He knew Asmodeus was his father. That was a good start - he was almost certainly talking about the sin lord Asmodeus and not the Goatic Asmodeus or any of the others. She could point him to a specific chapter of the book she was looking for.

Aaron also sounded like he had a problem with his dad. Pandora didn't like the man that much either, so Chloe shouldn't have been too surprised."No need to apologize. The rumor mill can set you on edge. I would know."

She knelt down, continuing to look for that one book, until she realized that she might not be looking for the right thing. "Okay, maybe I should ask," She turned to look back up at him. "I've probably been making some bad assumptions about what kind of information you're looking for. Since you already know who the father is, I'm guessing you've known for a while that you're a demon, and you probably know a little bit about the hellions more generally. So, what should I be helping you find books about?"

"No..I..," he sighed, "I only recently found out." It was frustrating, the whole situation, "was lead to believe that I was just a vampire most of my life," he'd been lied to, by his own mother, he was both sad and angry at the whole thing, "my..health started to drop and...other things happened." He rubbed the back of his neck, frustrated at about everything, "turns out...as I got older....I'd start having other needs besides blood." He was surprised and how quickly he was willing to talk to her about it, perhaps he'd been hoping for someone he could talk to without judgement.

"I'm...mostly looking up about mostly lust demons, but it'd probably be a good idea to learn about demons in general," out of the corner of his eye he noticed a few students glancing at him and whispering, they were classmates of his, hell he'd called them friends, he ignored them for now. "I don't know much....thought I'd, better read up on it, try to understand it all a bit better."

Needing sex, being a hellion, a specific sin being a part of your very being, it was all maybe a little to much for him to handle all at once, plus the students opinion of him changing. "Thank you," he said gratefully, realizing he'd may have been partly venting, "I.....it's nice, having some help with all of this."

"Oh." Chloe went back to looking for that book, listening to Aaron vent as she searched. At least she knew that she had the right kind of book in mind. Eventually, she found it on the top shelf, and she had to hop to pull it down.

She shot the kids Aaron's age a glare, and they tried to play it off like they weren't just here to catch juicy gossip about Aaron. This would prove difficult for them, because they were in a section of books about arcane academic subjects they couldn't possibly have cared about. When they looked up again, they would see she was still looking. The jig was up. They took a tactical retreat, for now.

With that handled, Chloe showed him the book's front cover. It was a plain-looking hardback with the title Infernal Creatures of Love and Lust.

She kept her voice low. "Happy to help." She stopped herself from saying something personal - the bookshelves had ears now, after all. Her eyes lingered on him for slightly longer than would be comfortable. She had to push a few inappropriate thoughts out of her head.

"Well, I think the two books I just helped you find should be good enough to get you started, but... well. Do you want to get coffee on campus with me? My treat. There's a lot of stuff I could probably help you with, and I'd be happy to. It's why I made the club after all."

He gave her a grateful smile as her glare sent the gossipers retreating, "thanks, most run off after a while, a few were sorta skulking around my locker." Aaron wasn't really sure how to handle it, it wasn't normal bullying, there was something more crueler behind it, "I'm still trying to figure out how they found out," he had a good idea of how, but nothing for sure.

Slipping the books under his arm, he kept his smile going, he wanted to stay positive, "but hey, it's not all bad, I am technically royalty now," he chuckled a little. Joking was one of his coping mechanisms, even now he'd use it to keep him going.

"Coffee would be nice," someone to talk to, someone who wouldn't judge. "I haven't had the chance to just, sit down and talk about it all," quickly checking the books out, he slipped them into his bag, "I....I appreciate this. Thank you." It felt good, talking, making some headway through the drama and madness the other students had started.

Chloe shrugged off his thanks. It was no problem, she told him. She checked out some books right after he did. She led him out of the library, towards the coffee shop on campus. It was a decent distance away from the library. The weather was still cold, but much warmer than it had been the last couple of days.

Nobody else was in earshot. She started up their conversation again. "I didn't want to say it in there, but I... actually have some unusual needs of my own, too. And if you can find a network of people to support you, it's pretty manageable." Her tail flicked to the side, then coiled once around her waist. She fidgeted with its arrowhead-like tip. "You get used to it after a while. At least I did."

She could have done a better job of managing it, though, she thought. Hopefully Aaron could learn from her mistakes.
