"Ah curses, you've seen through my very obvious ruse," he laughed. There was a line for disabled people. Hector of course hadn't even noticed it at first. He started taking mental notes of things to keep an eye for in the future. His gaze then fell on Georgette as they approached the main gate for the ride. Hector wouldn't call it a snag, but he'd forgotten that dogs can't ride roller coasters. He was fairly certain they had people to help with these sorts of things.

"Ah right... " he noticed one of the ride attendants looking their way. Since they weren't far off Hector waved them over. "Hey, my friend is blind, and this is her guide dog. Would it be possible for you guys to keep an eye on her?"

There was a smile and a nod from the attendant as they explained they'd keep an eye on Georgette while they were on the ride. They would take her once they finally got to the front. Which wouldn't be very long at all.

Obvious ruse indeed. "Can't fool me, dragon boy. I've seen like, a ton of scooby-doo." Which, Hector might not get that reference, so she added, "It's a mystery solving show for kids. We should watch some sometime. I'm sure my siblings would love to mail me our dvds."

Delaney listened as Hector called over a worker and explained the situation. The attendant agreed and Delaney gave them a hearty thank you. She ruffled the dog's ears. Things will be okay. "Thanks for that. I appreciate it." Maybe a part of her will still worry, but if anyone tried anything funny she'll make them regret it.

"I'm still getting used to it. The whole blind thing. Like, I still say 'oh yeah, I wanna see that!' or, well, you know what I mean." She said. "I had to basically relearn how to live normally again. It was frustrating, but I'm adapting."

Hanging out watching Scooby-Doo sounded like some real fun. He'd seen at least a couple episodes to know it well enough. He snickered at that being the apparent source of Delaney's keen detective skills. Ridiculous and silly, but who was he to judge? Sometimes he got ideas for new moves by reading manga and anime. Everyone had a thing like that right?

Things seemed to go smoothly with the staff. He had a feeling they had procedures for these situations, should they arise. Hector was also proud of himself for how well he handled the situation as well. He wanted to be just as helpful as he was fun while he was hanging out with Delaney.

"You know, I think everyone's trying to get used to something. It's why we're here," he said after a thoughtful pause. It might feel lonely, but it doesn't have to be. So uh don't hesitate to hit me up if you need something."

Hector made a good point of it, as people were arriving to the island all the time. Many of them new to their powers like Delaney was. She lightly punched his arm, well, tried to. Her fist skimmed his shoulder but it was close enough. "I won't hesitate to do so."

The line advanced and now it was time to board. Dela left Georgette with the nice ride attendant, and some help got into her seat and buckled. The seat smelled like old sweat but that did nothing to dampen her excitement. "How high are we going to go? Are there loops? I hope there's loops!" Then after safety checks and everyone was buckled in, the coaster jerked forward.

"Um, pretty high, and ye-" Hector was interrupted by the rid starting. It was gentle at first with only a couple small drops before the real ride started. The coaster climbed up a fairly steep incline, slowly, building the suspense, hanging at the top for added effect. Then it shot down the incline, winding around sharp turns and two loops.

Hector howled and laughed as the ride ran its course. It was all over just as quickly as it started. The dragon helped Dela off the ride, gently taking her hand to guide her back onto the platform. "That was pretty fun, to think I haven't done this in thirteen years. How'd you like it?"

When she could see, roller coasters looked like so much fun. Long tracks of steel full of dives and turns. Now blind, they were even more exciting. She can't see the track, or what was up next, the whole ride was going to be a huge mystery! The first small drops were nothing, but then carts were pulled up a long incline. Just as she thought they were going to plunge over the edge the ride stopped. "What happen-aaaaaAAAAHHHH!"

Delaney screamed in joy as they plunged and zipped through the track. The shifts of gravity her clues as to the sharp turns and loops. She was laughing when the ride came to a stop and as Hector guided her back to the platform. Georgette bumped her nose against Dela's hand and the girl gave her dog reassuring pets.

"That was awesome. Let's go again! And then I want to eat the most deep fried sugary food we can find." She squeezed his hand and thought there was nothing that could top today.
