Private Definitely Saw this Coming

Well, sappy wasn't always so bad, so Delaney could forgive him for it. "Then we're definitely going on a roller coaster. But no Ferris wheels. They're boring and slow and the whole point of them is to be high up so you can look at stuff and I don't much care for lookin' at stuff." Dela chuckled at her own little joke.

"Guess we'll have to check out all the places together. Man, what a drag." Dela said, going extra thick on sarcasm. "We'll have to keep meeting up, and hanging out. Talking and getting to know one another." It was totally awesome.

Hector had the same sense of humor as her, and that was awesome. It was almost like she was talking to Micheal again. "Oh wow, I didn't know I was with one of the coolest guys in school. How cool of you to hang out with little old me." Delaney said, her southern accent extra thick for added effect. "It's just to much, like, you're too cool for me." She giggled.

"So, like, what's keeping you from being the coolest guy in school?" She asked, all mischievous.

Delaney made a dramatic show of rolling her eyes and suppressed a grin. "I mean, I know I'm cool." She said. "By any standards, but it's nice to know I have your cool stamp of approval." She was goth after all, and goth was always cool. Same with heavy metal and thick black eyeliner. Two things that were always awesome, just like her.

She smiled, and did not blush at all at Hector's compliment. "I guess a western accent is similar. I'm from the American south." Delaney usually tried to suppress her accent, thinking it made her sound like some hick valley girl. It was a dumb thing to worry about, but it mattered all the same to her. "We almost there? 'Cuz I'm starting to crave some unhealthy fried food."

"Well, I guess I can tell you about it." Delaney said, thoughtful. She found the American South annoying and repressive, but it had its good parts. "But another day." She insisted, not too keen to dive into memories of home. There was too much muddled into that, some things needed rest.

Delaney perked with the increase of noise, more people, their chatting and the distant thrum of moving metal machines. "Roller Coaster!" Delaney said without any preamble. "I wanna go fast". She squeezed his hand, showcasing her excitement. It was hard to contain, when her senses were overwhelmed by the park around her. She thought that if she listened hard enough she could pinpoint the direction of the coaster.

Delaney rolled her eyes, "Yes, because so many people scream on the ferris wheel." Unless it was one of those crazy ferris wheels where you were hooked in a cage like thing and the carriage spun around. She had no idea if they had a proper name but they were cool. She was bouncing on the heels of her feet. "Don't suppose there's a 'disabled people speedy line' huh?" If not no big deal.

The line was short, and now Delaney had to face a reality she had ignored up to this point. She was going to have to ask the ride workers to keep an eye on Georgette while she went on the ride. Delaney could get her dog to wait by the exit, and she'll only be gone for like three minutes. The thing was a lot could happen in three minutes. The teen tried to not let it show on her face. And surely the ride workers would keep a good eye on a service dog.
