Trephas walked through the forest, his mind swarming. Morning was just coming up, and the early sun shined over the forest, making it very peaceful. There was snow on the ground, and the trees were covered in ice, which made it beautiful. Today his hair was combed, he wore some dark blue jeans and a black tee-shirt and a black belt then a denim coat that went to his knees, and he was wearing black converses.

He sighed, and he stopped for a bit and looked around, he had been out for at least an hour, and he wondered how far he was now to the academy, but he didn't want to go back, not right now anyway. He was happy Tear was here at the academy, and he was amazed what her powers were, but it made him a little uneasy, for she heard his daily thoughts when she was around him, but then again they were twins, they both always seemed to know each other's thoughts already.

But then he was troubled by what happened to his family, they were gone now, weren't they? And he wondered if he'll ever see them again. His eyes dimmed it seemed, and even the boring gaze was gone. What's going to happen now? Now that my family's gone.... Why are people just taking my family away, one family after another, why? He thought, and his eyes flashed angrily, but then returned to his normal gaze, and he continued walking, still in deep thought.

Ember suddnely awoke. She was Lying on a tree branch inthemiddle of the forest. It was snowing the previous day, so Ember wasn't cold when she woke; she was wearing a long turtle-neck styled sweater and jeans with black boots. She yawned and sat up on the branch. She looked out and smiled. The forest was like a winter wonderland, and she loved it, because she was actually able to go into the snow, even though it slight melted while she was standing in it.

She looked out and saw a guy walking in pretty deep thought. Ember leaned in to try and get a better view, for a few branches were blocking her view. Forgetting that she was on a branch in a tree, she leaned out too much and ended up falling down flat on her bottom in the snow, some light steem rising.
"Ow!" She cried. "Darnit!"

He suddenly stopped once again, and he looked around, listening. Then right there, a girl fell from a tree, and she cried out. Trephas thought for a moment, wondering if he should go and help, and he thought, what his parents always told him, that it was polite to help others, and when they are in need of it. He started walking towards the girl in long swift strides that he got to the girl in less then a minute.

"Are you alright?" He asked, a bit concerned, it wasn't everyday someone feel out of a tree. He held out his hand to help the girl up, if she could stand after a fall like that, and he was glad it wasn't him who fell out. "What were you doing in a tree?" He asked, a bit confused, though he knew some people liked to climb trees, just he thought when people do they at least try to be careful.

Ember put a finger to her right eyebrow and looked at it. Her fingers were wet with a crimson liquid. She sighed, "Great." The guy she had spotted was now on his way to her. Her elbows were also scrapped from the fall. The stranger had come up to her and gave out a hand. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said, taking his hand and pulled herself up.

What was Ember doing in a tree? "I was sleeping." She gave a small laugh. She knew it sounded wierd, a girl who likes ot sleep in trees? But that was her, and she enjoyed it.

Ember pulled the hood of her cloak over her head, even thought it was a sunny day, she just prefered to wear her cloak like this.
She walked out of her room and down the winding stair case, she opened the door and left, heading for the forest.
Ever since coming to the academy she was more drawn to the forest, that and the poisoned valley and the forbidden, but she wasn't going to those places today.

She walked through the trees and stopped and heard two people talking, walking further she noticed a boy and a girl, the girl had scratches on her elbows.
Ember giggled to herself, "Probably fell out of a tree" she thought and smiled slightly before walking further, as she walked she would stand on the occasional twig and ignore it.

He smiled. "Sleeping in a tree. That's a bit weird, but, a lot of things are weird here." He said. He looked at her wounds, and he felt a bit concerned but it did not show in his eyes. He looked up at the tree and the branch's. "I'd say it could've been worse, then what you have." He said simply, then he quickly looked around hearing footsteps.

He saw the girl who had a hood up, and he narrowed his eyes for a moment then they went back to normal, as he stared at the girl. He sighed, thinking for a moment. Was she heading somewhere? Or not? He shrugged, then turned back to the girl who was hurt.

Ember smiled, "Yeah, I guess you're right." She checked her elbows once again just to make sure she wasn't completely torn. ¨Besides, it's just a scratch; I'll live."

She noticed that he had heard something, because she heard it too. She looked around and saw a girl walking by herself with a cloak. She looked like a monk. Ember thought she heard the girl say something, but she wasn't completely sure. Without saying anything, she just stared at the girl, wondering where she was headed and why she was dressed like that as though she was part of some secret cult.

She turned back tot the boy and said, "I don´t think I ever got your name."

Ember moved around a tree and found a shadow, she stepped ontop of it had thought of the tree, where the boy and the girl were, soon she dissappeared into the shadow and appeared on one if the branches above where they stood.
Sitting down Ember observed their movements, she pulled the hood of her cloak down letting her long white hair blow in the wind.

Ember was still curious about the person she had spotted walking alone and wearing that strange cloak. She was subtly watching the person walk while appearing to look at the boy in front of her, whose name she still didn't know.

Suddenly her attention when completely to the hooded stranger as he/she went into a shadow and vanished. She looked around, but the person had dissappeared completely, until she heard something. It was quiet for a few moments, but then she heard some leaves rustle. Curious she looked up above her and there she was. The hooded stranger was sitting up on a branch right above them, she ahd lowered her hood letting her white hair flow out. Ember crossed her arms over her chest and asked, "What are you doing?"

Embers eyes flickered and gleamed.
"I'm sitting on a tree, it is a free country after all." she commented dryly.
"You seemed to have been looking for something or rather someone, maybe i can help you." she said looking at the boy and girl.
As she waited for their reply Ember started to make fire balls and make them float in the air, change colour and follow her hand movements.
