
Celebrated on various days throughout December, these holidays cover a massive variety of potential celebrations. While many other holidays have had one or two specific celebrations stand out, the sheer variety of observances during the second half of December has made it impossible. Bodhi Day, Christmas Eve, Pancha Ganapati, Saturnalia, Hannukkah, Yule, and dozens of other festivals are celebrated on the island throughout December.
Midwinter
Celebrated around December 21st, this holiday celebrates the shortest day of the year. This celebration is celebrated by many cultures and religions, with the Yaldā, the Dongzhi Festival, and Brumalia all being celebrated around the island. Some celebrations are secular, while many have religious or cultural meanings.

Secret Santa is a yearly tradition in Manta Carlos, an event where occupants of Manta Carlos are randomly paired up to exchange gifts with one another. You can find the sign-up thread here.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Tree Lighting is a staple of Manta Carlos culture. Taking place the third weekend of December in Oceania Park, the ceremony covers a wide range of winter holidays and celebrations. Citizens are encouraged to bring ornaments to decorate the tree with over the weekend long event. At the end, the tree is lit with magical candles that burn until the new year, signifying the unity of the island and its people. This is an ICC event and will take place on the weekend of December 15-16.
