John flew quickly over the city, his black wings pushing him through the wind, despite his hatred of his powers, it was nice to be able to fly freely, see the city from above, enjoy the clean air. He stopped midair and glided down, landing in front of a shop. It seemed large, large enough for this form, his wings shifted to there trench coat like state and he entered the shop.

He looked around, it was nice shop, but in truth he didn't really understand what it all was, he'd had his powers for two years but magic was overall very new to him. He focused and shifted changing into his human form, staying in the from too long drained him, and he was bit worried about accidentally breaking something.

Deciding not to waist any time trying to figure out what any of this stuff was he approached the counter where he saw a girl around his age, quite lovely too, "hello there," he said with his usual calm smile, "this store seemed nice and was wondering what you sold here?"

The soft clatter of bones hanging above the door alerted the young shop owner of an arrival, prompting her to move to the counter at the end of the main room. She was there in time to see the large figure shift into a smaller human form--not that it was any particularity for her at this point. In only a year of being in the island, it became a norm to her fairly quick to see stranger things.

She didn't offer a smile in return when he approched to speak to her, preferring to keep neutral. Professional, in a way."Well, sir, you've come to the House of Spirits: House of charms, cures, and all things Hoodoo," she stated plainly, raising an eyebrow in appraisal of her curious guest. "I suppose the practice isn't all too popular for everyone to know. Healing cures, repellants, lucky charms, and all around protective amulets are only a few to name among my wares. Are you interested in acquiring one for yourself or a friend?"
