This man, June swore, he was such a charmer. He loved him already. He sure wouldn't say it aloud though--at least not yet. In a more technical case, he didn't really need that much sleep if he had alternative sources to keep him going; but June kept that thought to himself, only letting a smile show but nothing more than that. "I could be, but who's to say I'm not a creature of the night?" he chuckled, his grin in response showing off his sharp fangs.

A hum went by him, considering an idea. "I was thinking of seeing a movie..." he said with a smile before taking a thoughtful sip off from his drink. "Except I remembered the music festival is right around the corner. I was thinking of watching the performances. What do you think?"

Ruari grinned. He definitely had a point right there. While most creatures were creatures of the daylight, sometimes Ruari forgot there were creatures of the night. He could not help but grin, leaning over the counter to speak lowly to the other. "Well then, Sunrise. If you're a creature of the night, I'm a little disappointed you haven't stopped by to meet me a little sooner. We'll have to fix that from here on out."

He hummed and leaned back, continuing to work the taps and the drinks. He passed them with practiced ease, sliding them across the counter to the next bartender standing near-by. The lampad was about to make a comment on the idea of them going to a movie when the music festival was mentioned. Right! The Lilac Festival was coming by.

"I would love to go." Grinned the bartender, asking the other. "Are you going to be performing too? I'm sure you have a beautiful voice."

The psionic lightly rested his chin on his fingers intertwined, arms propped up over the bar. His grin could have rivaled Ruari's if his didn't look any more mischievous. "Maybe it's only now that the stars aligned for us to meet tonight," June replied, his voice in playful as he spoke. The bartender's voice drew him in, captivating him as did his smile. "But I'm glad to know we're on the same page."

June didn't doubt any chance of snatching a date with the lampad, no, but the feeling of fulfillment for June might have just been close to having the feeling like Ruari could have just declined. "Unfortunately, no," he replied, almost dejected. "I had plans earlier but it fell through." If he still had the performing club in his grasp, he would have been on stage this year but things hadn't gone smoothly and all plans were set back until he had to quit the club himself. Disappointing to say, perhaps managing such a club hadn't exactly been his forte.

His smile was back on his lips just as quickly as it almost faded out, "I suppose that gives us more time together; buuuuut I could also steal the stage for you during the open-mic."

June's comment about the stars aligning made the bartender laugh whole-heartedly, smiling over the counter to the other. It admittedly rather cute to listen to him try and flirt with the bartender, and Ruari wasn't ashamed to admit it was working. Ruari was entertained and did want to spend more time with him, it was just a matter of finding out when and where they could cross paths again.

As June's voice dropped along with his smile, the lampad guessed he had done something or said something wrong. He frowned a bit as he listened, trying to keep busy at the bar but stay close enough to talk to the person who captured his attention all this time. "That sucks. I'm sorry to hear about that...

"Fair... If your voice is as beautiful of your eyes, you'll leave everyone hypnotized." Ruari smiled, hoping to brighten up the mood that had settled. But thankfully it seemed to have disappeared.

June had wanted to sigh at the sound of his laughter; it was that kind of laugh that brought life to him -- speaking literally and figuratively of course. If he could, he'd just love to stay here and spend more time chatting with him but part of him was calling out that this wasn't the reason he went out clubbing. Well, not the only one at least.

The redhead casually waved off the sentiment, smiling through it. He had no regrets quitting from the club; he indulged his more ambitious side and it only brought him on edge if he could say anything about it. He was thankful for the experience but it was something he couldn't get back to this soon.

"Hypnotizing though? I wouldn't say that much." The psionic chuckled; trying to bite the grin off from showing on his face. He wanted to laugh at the thought but before he could say anymore, he felt a pair of new presences around him -- one moved too close too suddenly. They had been familiar, though at the time, June found them rather unwelcome.

The one next to him first, the all too familiar voice of one of his classmates. "June! You're out of your den! Finally!"

It was a little hard to fight the urge to sigh but June managed himself well, and turned to the girl with a smile. "Jess, what a coincidence," he greeted her. "I was about to think you didn't come around here anymore."

"Juney you forget this is my favorite club. The night I don't come here is the day I die." The strange new girl looked up at the bartender for a moment, as if sizing him up with that glance. It didn't seem any more harmless than simply acknowledging him at least. She turned back to the red-head in question, "I saw you from across the room and for a second I thought I was seeing mirages. You haven't been around the gang for way too long June I'm not letting you sit around here on your own."

The girl, Jess looked back up to the lampad, a smirk on her face, "Mind if we whisk you boyfriend away?"

The new presence seemed to be disliked by all people involved. Ruari did not seem too thrilled with the new member of this conversation - they seemed to know June, so at least it was not entirely a stranger, but regardless. The lampad just went about his job but stuck close by in hopes that maybe 'Jess' could take a hint from their seemingly uncomfortable friend to take a hike.

He met Jess' eyes, raising a brow to her. A polite, customer-service smile was given as he shook up another drink, swishing the alcohol together for that particular cocktail. Her face was almost familar, but not enough for a name. He would have to be reminded of their name, and even their drink of choice to call them by.

Sitting by his lonesome. Ruari tried not to laugh a bit at that, handing the drink over to a patron at the bar near-by. "Mind if I keep 'im for a minute longer?" He asked, picking up a napkin and scrawling something on it with the bar's pen for when cards were used and a signature was needed. The bartender slid it over to June, a smile on his face. "Hope to see you around again, Sunrise. It was nice talkin' to you."

June considered Jess as one of his long-time friends in the academy but he can't deny that she had the worst timing. For a lot of times, she could be so infuriating because she never takes hints. For now, maybe, he could forgive her, to avoid any unnecessary things from her. The girl in question on the other hand didn't seem to care any more that she did when she approached. She gave a wave of approval to give the two a moment. He'll remember to get back at her at a later time.

The red-head took the napkin in a fluid motion, giving him a sheepish smile as he held it close to him. June rose from his seat only to lean a little closer, "You'll have to excuse my friend here. She can be a little... indelicate. She hasn't seen me in person for a month." Not entirely a lie, but it wasn't as if he didn't stay in contact.

"It was nice talking with you too but... she's counting so I should be going" With that, June stepped off the bar, but not without turning back to the bartender one last time with a wink, "You'll see me around, don't worry," he sang, waving as he was led away by the other girl.
