Shirigana relaxed by the lake, humming a light-hearted tune. He didn't see anyone else around, but didn't mind. The sun was high in the sky, shining down on his golden hair. His muscles seemed to bulge slightly as he laid back, resting his head on his hands.

The cat wandered around aimlessly, just taking the whole place in. She came upon the lake and wandered as close to the edge as she dared without getting wet. She didn't seem to notice the other form around.
Shirigana sat up to stare into the beautiful water of the lake when he noticed a cat. He wandered closer, moving slowly to avoid frightening it. "Hungry? I'll getcha somethin' ta eat!" Shirigana gleefully leapt into the water and sat at the bottom for almost a minute, perfectly still. One of the slower fish swam by, and he quickly caught it by using his robe as a net. He stepped out of the water, still grinning, and set the fish down. "Enjoy!"
Fluffy hadn't expected to be able to get a fish to eat since she didn't want to get wet, nor had she realized untl now how very hungry she was. But now she felt her stomach growl, and she quickly devoured the fish, satisfying her hunger. After she had licked her paws clean, she purred up at the person and did a figure-eight around his ankles.
Shirigana Light grinned. "Looks like I made a new friend. You're a sweet kitty, arentcha?" He reached down to gently pat her head, pleased by her reaction to the fish.
Fluffy nodded, purred when he patted her head and then sat down on one of his shoes. She pretended to go to sleep, though she was sure he could tell she wasn't.
Shirigana kneeled down, now devoting all of his attention to petting his new friend. "Good kitty. Do ya have a name? I don't suppose I'd know what ta name ya." This was Shirigana's style of speaking; As simple and laid-back as his personality.
Fluffy thought about saying her name, but decided to act as if she were only a cat, and not half cat/half human. She gave a slight shake of her head, wanting to see what he named her.
Shirigana thought it over, scratching behind the cat's ears. "If I had a cat when I was a kid, I would call it... Well, honestly I probably woulda called it Rover, but that's kinda silly." A suggestion gnawed at the back of his subconscious. "How about Fluffy? That's about the only good cat-name I can think of."
Fluffy had to keep from laughing when he said Rover. That was a dog's name, and deffinately not something you would name a female cat. As he said Fluffy, she thought, Extra points for him! The cat smiled and nodded.
