Jen sat on the lakeside, watching the water calmly. The girls that were tanning near her were staring and laughing and whisp;ering to one another. It was making her feel uncomfortable, but she didn't awnt to get up and confront them. She had a bad feeling about those girls, and she thought they wetre stuck up like the boy ing the forbidden. She felt like the whole lake was laughing at her to, like the water thought her feeling left out was funny. She felt lonely. But you've gotten soused to this feeling, why is it just bothering you now? she thoguht, gripping her locket tightly, Why are you feeling lonely? You still have a friends. You haven't lost any. Yet.

Jen kept her head down. Her bathing suit (still a french blue color) was wet. She had went for a swim, but found that everyone was watching her. She felt akward, and prayed that they thought she wasn't trying to show off. She wished was back at the ocean. Hardly anyone went that far from the academy, so she could swim freely.

Skipping along, twisting and playing with a flower in her hand, making it shrink and grow, Enelya went down the shoreline. Archimedes scuffled beside her and snagged a couple ants here and there for a snack.

As she skipped, she noticed a girl, who looked a little... off. Like she didn't feel welcome, while noticing the other rude girls. Well thats not very nice. Enelya thought, I'd better go cheer her up! As she approached the girl, Enelya gave her one of her most welcoming smiles and introduced herself:

"HI! My name is Enelya, and this here is Archimedes. You looked a little lonely, so I just wanted to say hi! How are you doing today?"

A sound from afar, the sound of the guitar strumming and picking at the same time, with a drum beat, came from a boy who seemed to be skinny and have grey hair. The mist brushed in his face as he sung a song about the immigrants known as Mojado by Ricardo Arjona.

His eyes looked down at his guitar, quite satisfied with the school, but he needed some time alone. It had been quite the day. He was so enraptured with his song that he forgot people were here.

Being the scattered brain that she is, Enelya ran over to the young boy playing the guitar. She watch him in awe, and didn't say a word. She sat on the ground, legs crossed, growing vines and playing with them, making them into various shapes with her hands. She listened intently, and admired his intrumental ability. Sure, she could paint up a pretty sunset, but that doesn't take as much work as playing such a beautifu song.

Jen looked up as the girl approached her, she smiled when she introduced herself. But her head plopped back down when she ran off to look at the guitar player. I got up on the wrong side of the bed today. Everyone seems to be either stuck up, too cheerful, or ignorant. she thought, trying to ignore the music.

As the young man played, Enelya looked over her head in the girl's direction, tapped Archimedes on the shoulder, and pointed over to her. The lizard nodded, and scurried over to the young girl. He tugged on her shirt. Jestering her to follow him, back to where Enelya was listening to the young man playing the guitar.

Jen felt something tug her swim-suit. She looked down. "AIEGH!" she cried, jumping backwards. She hated little things that squirmed and crawled, including lizards. She looked around to see most of the people looking at her. Someone burst out laughing, then another, and soon all of them were laughing. She blushed and dived into the water, swimming as fast as she could to the other side of the lake, where the trees were.

Discouraged, Archie crawled back over to where Enelya had been listening to the young man's music.

"She was scared of me." he said, frowning, his feelings obviously hurt.
"Aww, I'm sorry Archie, where'd she go?" Enelya said, comforting him.

Enelya noticed the people laughing, and up out of the ground, vines came shooting up, and covered everyone's mouths. Everyone looked around wide-eyed. "That's not polite, if something scared you, would you like someone to laugh at you for it?" Enelya shamed them.

Archie pointed towards the lake, and Enelya walked to the shore, the gentle water lapping at her toes. Her long, flowing skirt whipped in the breeze, and Enelya looked out onto the lake. After a few moments of looking, Enelya spotted the girl. She waved, and gave a big smile.

"Hey! I'm sorry Archie scared you! I just wanted to keep listening, and get your attention at the same time! If you'd come back, I'd love to talk to you!" she cried into the winds.

Thinking this might not be possible, Enelya summonded some water plants floating in the lake, and she rose them out of the water, making stepping patches. Enelya walked across the lake, holding Archie in her hands. As she reached the other side of the lake, she found the girl on the other side. Enelya smiled at her, trying to comfort her embarrassment.

"I stuffed vines into their mouths, they won't be laughing at you again anytime soon!"

Jen was high in a tree, and ignored the girl. Stupid lizard. Stupid girl. Stupid guitar. Stupid people. she thouhgt, cursing herself for not leaving once the girls started sneering at her. She had her knees to her chest and her arms around them. She was on a thick banch the the top of a tree.
You could tell she didn't want to talk.

Enelya laughed at herself, this poor girl didn't know who she was dealing with if she thought she could get away by CLIMBING a tree. Enelya jestered towards a nearby branch, sat on it, and lifted herself up. Looking at the girl, who seemed to go terribly out of her way to avoid any social interactions, she studied her.

"You know... a thank you would have been nice. I made them shut up, that wasn't nice of them to laugh at you. And, I'm trying to be your friend, and you sure are going extremely out of your way to avoid me." she concluded.

Archimedes crawled into Enelya's pocket, the girl didn't like him, and he didn't like her. Being small and blue is harder than it looks, and his feelings were hurt. All he did was try and get her attention and she screamed at him like he was going to eat her or something. Humans are so melodramatic sometimes. Sensing his frustration, Enelya patted him on the head.

"I don't know whats wrong with you, or anything, but I was just trying to make you feel better. If it'll make you feel better, I'll send a squirrel to get your attention next time, would that be better?" Enelya was running out of ways to cheer this gloomy glump up. But she wasn't about to give up.
