Face:
Moonstone has a bit of a baby face. His features are soft and round for the most part, making him look slightly younger than he is, though the rest of his body makes his age clear. He looks human for the most part, but his eyebrows are short arms folded closely together to look as much like normal eyebrows as possible. His eyelashes are also very thin arms.
Voice:
Moonstone's voice is a bit deeper than you would expect from someone with a face like his. He tries to speak with a friendly, but there is an uncertain and nervous tinge in his voice when he speaks to new people. He is prone to giving a forced laugh that sounds airy and weak to almost everything to cover up his nervousness.
Body:
Moonstone has the body of someone who is working towards being a weightlifter. He finds that he is able to do more with his powers if his arm strength is better.
Hairstyle:
All of Moonstone's hair is replaced with boneless arms wiggling around like snakes. Moonstone keeps his arms short and thick, only reaching right below his ears. They move without his command most of the time and react like separate minds, but they are generally friendly and always protective of Moonstone.
Clothing:
Moonstone likes wearing roomy clothing. This makes it easier for him to summon his arms without him having to take clothes off or rip holes in them. He would wear a dress if it didn't feel so awkward.
Personality
Slow:
Moonstone always fell a bit behind in academics. He always just barely passed, even when he tried his hardest. That is not to say he was dumb, but most of the general classes he took and his study methods never worked well together. Him being a bit too stubborn to get a tutor and refusing to try a different learning method may have helped with holding him back too. He never liked feeling too different from his peers and always tried to do what was the norm for his class. This has led to some calling him "Rockhead" mockingly because of how air-headed he could be. The muscular appearance he developed later did not help the matter.
Curious:
For someone who was always behind in school, Moonstone always had a desire to try out new things. He is more of a "hands-on" type of leaner. A doer instead of a listener or watcher. Any other way of learning gives him less-than-satisfactory results and makes him feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, Moonstone is eager to find something that will "click" with him enough where he'll want to pursue it for the rest of his life.
Shy:
Moonstone tries to keep to himself most of the time. He wants to make friends, but when he puts himself out there to socialize, he feels awkward and clumsy, like he is stumbling over himself with every attempt. The only thing that helps ease him up are the arms on his head, who give him supportive pats on his back or give him signals on what to do. Growing up, Moonstone was known for talking to the arms on his head like they were his best friends.
Friendly:
Moonstone tries to be as nice as possible to everyone he meets. He may come off as a bit awkward, but overall he is a relaxed guy. Too nice, sometimes. Mixed in with his timidness, he is prone to just go along with whatever anyone says. Someone makes a joke he doesn't find funny? He'll laugh, no matter how awkward it is, just so he doesn't kill the mood. Someone tries to roughhouse with him a bit? He'll just go along with it, then apologize if his hair reacts violently because they can tell he's uncomfortable.
Biography
Moonstone's life was pretty unremarkable for the most part. He lived on Manta Carlos ever since he was a child and has been going to Starlight until recent. He came from a human father who had snakes for hair and whose colors always changed depending on the angle you are looking from and a pastel-colored mother who could grow arms from her body. He also has a little sister who has the same colors he has, but her powers are different. She can summon snake-like mouths on her body wherever she likes.
Growing up, he was known as the shy, stupid kid. He kept to himself, but when approached, was awkward, but friendly. Most of the time he was seen sitting outside talking to his arms like they were more of a person than everyone else around him.
Nowadays, Moonstone doesn't do much. He is still figuring out where he wants to go in life and is unsure if he wants to go to college or find himself a job elsewhere.
Powers
Arm Manipulation - Moonstone's only power is the ability to manipulate the arms that replace his body hair and summon arms all over his body. Other than that, he is just an average human.
- Arms for Hair - All of Moonstone's bodily hair is made up of arms and hands, though he only grows hair on his head. These arms have no bones inside of them, allowing them to bend and twist as much as they want with no pain, though he will experience discomfort if they get tied into a knot or squeezed for a long time. In fact, Moonstone's senses with these arms are dimmed overall. He can feel things with them, but they will not be as strong as his normal arms. If the arms are damaged, Moonstone may only feel a dimmed pain, but the arms will squirm around in a panic like they are experiencing the full sensation that Moonstone is not. The arms have no nails and are only good for grabbing and punching. When his arms are cut off, they will regrow like normal hair while the fallen arm is left behind. Moonstone can merge these arms together to create a thicker arm, or split them apart to make them skinny and thin. The arms will always be light enough on Moonstone's body to not give him any physical stress.
The arms will naturally move without Moonstone's input and seem to show minds of their own, with some even having different personalities than the others. They can even speak through Sign Language to reveal more of their personalities. As Moonstone aged, he realized his arms started showing less of himself in them and have become more distinct as people. This was further proven by how sometimes their memories didn't match up, and when Moonstone went to investigate, no one was faking any memories. Moonstone remembered things the arms did not, and the arms remembered things Moonstone did not. If an arm is removed, any memories that arm had will disappear. The arms can also sense things separate to Moonstone, other than touch. They can see things even if Moonstone is not looking directly at them, focus on a sound Moonstone is not paying attention too, etc. So far he has concluded that the older he gets, the more they grow as people. One thing they all share is that they are protective of Moonstone and will not do anything he would not do himself unless they feel he is in danger. Most of the time, they just wiggle around or do simple movements (waving when someone says, "Hello," or hi-fiving a nearby person). When they do try to defend Moonstone, they will try to slap away, grab, or punch the enemy.
Moonstone can override any movements the arms make if he pays attention, however. These arms can extend about six meters, but the closer they approach their limit, the less control Moonstone has on them. By that point, the arms will be significantly weaker in strength but will move completely on their own. Moonstone's arms are also only the same strength as his usual arms, no matter how many time he merges them or splits them apart. - Arm Growing Moonstone can grow arms anywhere he wants on his body. Unlike the ones replacing his body hair, these actually have bones, are as sensitive as his usual arms, and do not have any personality of their own. They are also always proportionate to where he is growing them from. He can somewhat adjust their size and length as well, but it will always be proportionate enough to not give him any trouble. Summoning these arms takes approximately one minute, but that may increase or decrease based on where they are coming from and their size.
