Shade ran alongside Dani towards the door. "Where are we going?" He yelled over another wave of thunder.

"Inside! But I can't see the door until I get some light, but when that happens, the lightening will probably be hitting us! Do you see it?" Of course, Dani's eyes were used to being in nice, warm, and bright areas. But the bad thing about that was that when it was pitch dark and no light whatsoever was around, everthing was black for her.

"Yeah," Shade said as he took the lead and grabbed Dani by the wrist. He jogged over to the door and opened it with one hand, letting Dani go through first. He then followed closing the door behind them.
As soon as he was inside the light burned his eyes so he quickly closed them and pulled on his hood.

Dani shivered and squeezed her hair. "At leaset we're in. But," Dani took the guitar off her back and plucked one of the strings it was off key. ", the water got the strings wet, loosening them. if I tighten them now, half of them will snap. I'll just put it in my dorm to dry. But first, we need to get you a dorm." Dani stepped carefully down the stairs, so she wouldn't slip. She expected Shade to follow.

Shade followed. "I don't need a dorm. I wouldn't spend any time in there anyways," he objected.

Dani stopped at the bottom. She turned around sloooowly. "I am NOT allowing one of my friends to sleep on a roof. I am getting you a dorm." She turned around and headed to the office.

Shade almost ran into her when she stopped. "I don't sleep on the roof everynight. Sometimes I sleep in the forest." He didn't say anything about Dani calling him her friend. But he definetly noticed.

"Shade, the forest is worse than the roof." She said. She opened the door to the office. "I'm not sure if I can get you one myself, so you'll have to ask the secretary in there. She gave me one, and she'll give you one too. Just be polite." She said to him as she entered.

The secretary smiled kindly at the boy. "Here you go, sweetie!" She said, handing him a key with a card attached. She gave a falashy smile and thenturned back to her work. Dani gave him a thumbs up. "It's late, and I want to change. Look on the card for the number of your room. I'm heading back to mine. See you later, Shade!" She said, heading back out the door.
