"Oh," Shade replied as he too looked up. "The stars are beautiful arn't they?" He asked absentmindedly.

Dani nodded. "They're very pretty. My mom said that no one has ever counted them all. She also said that everyone who was loved very much and died was up there, watching over us." Dani blinked as a cloud ran over the moon.

"I never thought of them like that," he said. Then he noticed the clouds coming. "Looks like rain."

Dani nodded. "We'll have to head in soon." She fiddled with her shoelace. She turned to look at Shade, but remembered that she couldn't see anything. She waited for her eyes to adjust.

Dani felt a raindrop hit her head. Then her arm. "I don't know. I may... I really don't know, but I'll find something. What about you?"

"I think I might stay out here," he said thoughtfully. He too could feel raindrops falling onto his head and upturned face. "I like the rain."

Dani turned to look at him, surprise everywhere. "You'll catch a cold if you stay out here!" She said, stainding up. It was now raining harder. "I'm not letting you stay out here by yourself in a rainstorm!"

"Where else would I go?" Shade asked giving in. He stood up too. He could feel the lightning strike a minute before it did. Hitting out in the forest somewhere. He had just enough time to close his eyes.

Dani jumped as the lightening hit "You could come in with me- get you a dorm!" The thunder blocked out some of her words. The lightening illuminated (Sp?) the roof for a moment before everything was dark again. Dani used the second of light to grab Shade's wrist and run for the door.
