Dangerous Night Walk

Kacey didn’t realize she was entering the forbidden part of the forest. She was just walking, she needed to clear her mind. The last couple of days seemed horrible and it seem to be getting dark quickly. But Kacey didn't notice she was to busy being deep in thought to even notice anything.

Suddenly, the noise of something coming through the underbrush and Mekira stepped out in front of her, smiling, his pike in his hand.
"Lost miss? I sure hope so, because it's rare I find someone bravely trudging through the forbidden zone at night, unless they're vampires or ghouls."

"I’m where?" Kacey looked around, finally realizing it. Then she looked back at him afraid that he was one of those. "Maybe I am a vampire, maybe I’m not." She lied, hoping he wasn’t one and if he was one he’d leave her alone.

Mekira chuckled.
"No need to be afraid of me, I'm hardly afraid of you, even if you are a vampire. Vampire or not, you seem lost, it's really quite dangerous here."

"Are you a student then?" Kacey asked him, she began to forget that she was very afraid of the forbidden area but that was only momentarily.

"Yes I am and I’m not a vampire." Kacey said relaxing now somewhat. "I also am quite very long." Kacey admitted.

Mekira smiled.
"Hrrmm? You've been at the academy for a while? You should know better than straying into the Forbidden Zone...You could get attacked, anytime."

"I have been here for a while. And I’ve been attacked before. At the school, so it isn’t any safer. But your new aren’t you?" Kacey asked him.

Mekira shrugged.
"Relatively...But the difference is at school the only possible aggressors are foolish teenagers. The forests here are full of beasts and ghouls."
