Dancing for joy, or dancing for sorrow?

Lex shook her head. "Normally, I'd have a man ask me to dance, but as it is, I'm going to let you in on one of my secrets." She began moving to the music that played in her head. "When My life seems bleak, I dance. But I don't just dance. When I dance, I let go of my mind. I release everything that I'm holding inside," she closed her eyes, and immediately, the pile of things began to separate, floating a bit off the ground, "When a Telekinetic truly lets go, their mind gets rid of the excess emotion through moving things," when she spoke again, the things returned to their pile, since she'd broken her thoughts. "It helps me deal with things." she added, looking at Trephas solidly for a moment, as a flicker of something that had never been there before passed across her eyes, quickly disapearing behind peace. "Try it." she whispered, as though anything louder would have shattered the moment.

He listened and closed his eyes. I've never tried it before, maybe it will help, he thought, then opened them again. Suddenly, when she was done talking, a song came up in his head, he had loved it when he was younger, a lot younger, and he still tried to figure out how he remembered, since he was only three. He once again closed his eyes, and the song drifted into his head, and then his lesson, his uncles would show him how to dance properly, from the old times, and the footsteps flooded his mind, and he started doing a few of the dance steps, and a few things lifted off the floor, and his thoughts and worries loosened. After a bit he stopped, and smiled, and held out a hand to Lex.

"Shall we dance together then?" He asked, kindly, knowing that when he will dance again, he won't care what his thoughts were.

When he held out his hand to her again, her heart did a little jump, but she moved forward again, placing her small hand in his. She moved closer to him, feeling safe in his prescence. "I believe we shall." she said, smiling up at him, brown eyes full of nothing but happiness. The objects shifted slightly, but not substancially as she waited for him to lead.

He smiled, and his eyes shined joyously. He wrapped one arm around Lex's waist, as that was how he was told to dance, and then held her other hand, then he started leading into the dance. A few small things floated up from the floor, but not much, for his powers were weak, and seemed to be a bit weaker lately, but right now he didn't care, he didn't care about anything right now.

When his arm wrapped around her waist, she moved closer to him, blending to him to feel the music that he heard. She allowed him to lead her, but nothing floated off the ground, on her part. She had total control in her happiness, so she ignored the stuff on the ground, glad to leave it to Trephas. She moved with him perfectly, her well tuned dancer's sense caught the rhythm of Trephas' dance within the first step, and she now was dancing as though she'd known how to dance with Trephas since the beginning of time.
