This was it; the magical moment. The moment that Wren would grace the dancefloor in a club on this island. She had been excited to check it out for some time, but hadn't gotten around to it until now. She had needed her time to settle in, dump her luggage, rant with Allen about how cool their time on this island would be and what kind of pranks they would pull. Yeah, that was all well and good, but at some point the time would come; the time to turn your back on the sun and submerge yourself in the neon lights of the city's night life. Wren would like to call it her natural habitat, seeing as she liked to party at any time of day, with or without friends, with or without (but preferably at all times with) alcohol and loud music. Wren was so excited to get started with her party tour that she hadn't checked anything beforehand; no opening or closing times, recommended clubs, or even people who could show her around. No, she had decided to do it her way. Just walk into the first club that looks fun, get any type of blue beverage and go for it.
And as it turned out, the specific club that was lucky enough to have her as a customer was a ton of fun. The music was energizing, encouraging most people inside to dance. The bar was large and allowed multiple bartenders to supply everyone quickly. The place was packed with people who were enjoying themselves, whether they were talking over a drink or dancing. There was even a tacky discoball in the middle of the club. Wren couldn't have asked for more.
So. How was she going to enjoy her evening? Wren was definitely going to go wild; she'd been looking for a good party for ages (although it had only really been a few days since she last had a good party, but it just felt like that was too long ago). She was wearing hotpants, a loose t-shirt, and cute but comfortable shoes, so that nothing would get in the way of her perfect evening. Her first stop was the bar, where she ordered a shot of some coloured mix drink and downed it, earning herself some cheers from the people around her. Wren pumped her fist in response - in a non-threatening way for once. Normally, she was quite agressive and obnoxious, but somehow these awful qualities changed when she was at a party. She was like a werewolve and the discoball was her moon; a partying Wren was one of the nicest Wrens you would ever encounter. She slid the shot glass back across the bar, then leaned against it backwards so she could scope out the room. The fact that she didn't bring anyone to the party didn't mean she intended to party alone. Hanging out in clubs was a great way to meet new people. The only question was how open they were to hanging out with some socially agressive stranger, but Wren wasn't worried about how her undeniable charm would affect people in the slightest. So instead of worrying about possible social boundaries, she scanned the room, until she spotted a guy who didn't seem to be too occupied, and certainly looked like he was worth her time.
Wren contemplated bringing a drink over to lure him in, but then decided against it. She wanted to dance and having a glass in her hands was just annoying. He would just have to like her because of her amazing personality. Wren nodded to herself, then got up and confidently approached him.
'Hey!' she said, quite loudly, so she could be heard over the music. Luckily she didn't need to shout. 'Good news! You'll be my dance partner now!' she laughed at him, with a surprisingly honest, happy smile - one she didn't usually manage to show. 'You'll have to help me, you know, because I'm new and sad and alone and I just want to dance.' Wren said this with a pout, the facial expression she usually used to make sure people didn't get furious at her, or felt too bad to refuse her. Before her target could really react, though, she tried to hook her arm through his and attempted to drag him away from his boring old spot, to a spot more suited for wildly moving around - or dancing, as the lay people called it. She neglected to tell the guy her name, or even give him a good reason to go along with her. No time for those things. She just wanted to have fun - and she would, whether the guy would follow her or not.
