The night was cool, fall was in full swing and winter wasn't far off. The cold didn't bother Leandro though, no he donned his combat suit, white and black with a hooded trench coat over it, and he went out. Shadow to shadow, rooftop to rooftop, he moved silently through the night. He wasn't looking for anything, no real pattern to his movements, he was just out on a run, getting his blood pumping.

He stopped on top of the roof of an empty building and took a breath of the night air. The young vampire loved going on runs, stretching his muscles, his training had honed his natural abilities as well as his shadow magic.

As he stepped across the roof, his nose picked on a group of scents, humans and maybe a few elves, his ears started to pick up on raised voices. Once at the edge, he leaved over, his sonar ability giving him a picture of the alley below. @Ashes

Click, click, click of designer heels across the cold pavement of that night, clicking her way down the downtown streets of Manta Carlos. Not all pink, though - that'd be too cliché. Instead, she looked as chic as you could get in a cute little outfit. A cute little tan skirt with a tight grey shirt overtop, and a black cardigan over that. Chic as can be. Of course, her boots made a sort of clicking sound against the pavement. All her shoes would. She was just that type of girl.
Which also meant that she had a cute little purse with her, containing her wallet and phone. Apparently, to the two muggers behind her, that looked like the ideal target to rob. They'd make a fortune, right? If she'd just go down the alley they were waiting in...
Fortunately for them, she was juuust unaware enough to use that alley to get to the complex that had the bus stop she needed to get back to the school. She click-clicked through, smiling...
Until she saw the balaclava-clad men in front of her, holding a gun up to her chest. One even grabbed her shoulder from behind, squeezing hard.
Understandably, Amelia was scared
"Wh-what? P-Please don't.. don't hurt me! I'm s-sure we c-can work something out, please let go of m-"
"GIVE US ALL YOUR MONEY! Your phone, too - or else we gonna put all eight inches of this steel up in your head." One of the attackers brandished an exacto knife, and Amelia shivered.
"I-If it's money you want, then we can c-come to an agreement, right? There's - there's no need for violence. Why don't we, um.. s-sit down and talk this out? I can give you money, if you wan -"
"GIVE US YOUR MONEY, DUMB BITCH!" the attacker yelled again. Her shoulder hurt, and she cried out in pain.
"HELP!"

That voice, that scent, he knew her, she was trying to talk sense into the muggers, but they weren't hearing any of it. He smelt the steel of a knife, yes the whole situation was escalating, he needed to step in. The young vampire dropped off the edge, but instead of landing, he vanished into the shadow created by a light.

The muggers didn't see him, they didn't hear him, they had no idea what was coming. Leandro reappeared, leaping from a shadow beside them all, he collided with the gunman. His hands moved quickly, disarming him, probably breaking a finger or two as he did, the man went down when he brought the hilt of the gun into his face, before unloading and dropping the weapon.

The knifeman moved behind Leandro, he sensed him coming up to drive the blade in his back. The masked vampire sidestepped him, the blade wielding man stumbled past him, the momentum of his attack carrying him. Leandro dropped him with a kick to the back of the knee and an elbow to the head.

It all happened fast, faster than people would expect. The two men laid unconscious, the alley suddenly completely silent, except for htheir breathing. "Are you ok?" he asked, making sure his voice lacked his usual Italian accent.

They were so close. She was so close to being gutted like one of those icky fish at the markets. She'd even thrown up her hands and crouched into as much of a ball as she could.
It all happened so fast, though - one second, she was about to become beautiful fish fillet - and the next, the muggers were laying unconscious on the ground, cracks echoing through the alleyway. Ew, were those sounds of fingers breaking? Amelia glanced around herself, trying to get a hold of what was going on.
Someone in a mask (hoodie?) was (very stylishly) bringing the hilt of one of the attackers' guns to his face, knocking him out easily, before the masked guy unloaded and tossed the weapon aside. A sidestep of the blade attacker, and he too dropped like a bag of bricks to the ground. It was all blurs of movement, and before she knew it, it was over, the only sound being that of their collective breathing, and her shaky breaths.
"Are you okay?"
That was what the guy in the mask had asked her. Timidly, she nodded her head. Yes, she was okay - thanks to him.
"Y-yes, I'm fine... Thank you."
He'd just saved her life - oh, but where was her purse.
"Oh... my purse... where is it?"

She was ok, that's what mattered, he turned to face her. He was blind of course, but he still had his mental image of her, something his sonar ability granted him. The young vampire's nose took in the scents around him, picking up a little blood, all from the muggers thankfully. Yes, it had all gone well, all things considering, it could have taken a much worse turn.

He tilted her head as she asked about her purse, his nose took in the scents again. Makeup and the other common contents of a purse, they all had their own scent, easy enough for him to pick up on. He walked over to wear one of the fallen men laid, and picked the push up from beside him, he must of grabbed it before Leandro had dropped him.

Walking back over to Amelia, his trench coat flowing slightly behind him, he offered it back to her. Her life was more important than some purse, but he was happy he'd managed to save both this evening.

Her savior turned toward her, and she could feel his blank stare through the lenses at her, almost like he was seeing past her, or didn't see her at all. At least, eye-wise. She was sure he smelled her perfume, though subtle. All things considered - wait, was he sniffing the air? Like a cat would?
She giggled a bit.
As he tilted his head at her and went to fetch her purse, she double-checked her surroundings. Amelia had been really kind of stupid, she realized, to use a dark alley in the middle of the night. Just the thought sounded sketchy. Really, it was her fault! But none of that mattered now, because she was safe and really indebted to her savior.
Who... wore a trench coat. Unusually stylish - but then again, he was a vigilante, of sorts. Like a superhero.
"You... you saved my life - oh my Gods, how can I repay you? I mean, you saved my life! Please, um... Oh! Here, you can have some money!"
She dug through her purse, seizing a fifty bill and holding it out to the guy.
"By the way, you're really hot-looking - I love your trenchcoat. In any other manner it'd lok pretty weird, but you rock it naturally. "

He shook his head as she offered him money, he was rich, but even then he'd never accept it even if he was hurting for money. "You should call the cops so they can collect them," he gestured to the unconscious thugs, "then go home, stay out of dark alleys for a while." It'd been a really bad idea, her wandering around here this late at night, she was lucky he'd stumbled onto them.

Then she called him hot, he couldn't help but grin just a tiny bit under his mask. If he was in civilian mode he'd sleep with her if she wanted, one night stands and friends with benefits weren't uncommon to him.

"You shouldn't have been out here this late at night," he continued, talking without his usual accent, his voice being a bit deeper, "you should be more careful." He did genuinely care, she was his friend, one of the few he had, not counting the women he occasionally slept with.

"On it," Amelia smiled, tugging her cellphone out from her skirt's pocket and tapping it a few times. "You know," she continued, tap-tapping on her phone and smiling at him, "I could have fended them off. I've had some boyfriends like that. Total creeps, the lot of them. Ugh. But you better bet I'm staying away from all these dark alleyways. It's kind of stupid to use them anyway - hello? Yes, I'd like to report a mugging." She put the phone up to her ear and gave the vigilante - oh she didn't get his name! - a coy little "shush" gesture. "Yes, they mugged me. They're total creeps...." She gave them the name of the street they were on, then hung up.
Sirens in the distance.
"Oh! I never did get your name. Do you... do you have a name? Ooh, maybe i can take you out to dinner or something, as thanks for saving me. Would that be okay?"
