He'd chuckle a bit.."The superhero things right?" he'd ask with a grin, "the MCU one, that's the one with the bat-guy right?" he'd seen trailers and such but hadn't looked to deep into it.

"So the powers and the magic in your world? It was somewhat rare but around enough to be normal?" he'd hum in thought, "why didn't those with magic run things?" he'd ask, genuinely curious.

He'd tilt his head, "with such abilities they could improve any world.....or were they always fighting among themselves?" The mage kingdom of their father enhanced everything with magic to make things run efficiently, those without magic were sometimes socially at the bottom, but that'd been normal for them.

Blair was so, so wrong, but Angelo wasn't going to get picky and correct him. He didn't need to know that the bat-guy was DC, and the MCU was a cinematic universe, and...

Alright, don't get distracted.

"More or less," he said. "They were a more recent thing. The last hundred years or so. Powers were becoming more and more common, but we weren't a might-makes-right society. We were a pretty normal democracy. Everyone has a right to say their piece, everyone has value... all that."

A part of him was slightly thrown off by how blatant Blair was about his meta-supremacy beliefs, but he tried not to let it show.

"Interesting....," he'd tilt his head in thought, "no kings or anything?" That was an odd concept to him, "I understand they're somewhat rare in this world, but I think there's at least a few."

As he talked he'd remain floating cross-legged in the air, the tip of his tail swaying.

"And you knew some of these powered people? These superheroes?" that world sounded so strange, so odd.

He was used to Alma floating, so there floating wasn't bothering him all that much. It had caught him off guard when he'd first started dealing with people who floated, but by now? Old news.

"I mean, a few countries had kings, but almost none of them were actually in charge. Monarchies gave way to democracies and other forms of government, because having a royal family is a nightmare and a really bad idea." Did people not realize that? He supposed it made sense. If he was from a world where democracy was the default, he'd think of that as the default. The same was probably true of Blair and monarchies.

"I did, yeah. I knew a lot of them. I was a - a junior Sentinel." Not that he knew what that was. "Junior superheroes. Professional. Back at home the superhero thing was like a real job. Not vigilantism like it is here in movies and comics."

"Is it?" he'd ask, his eyes curious,, "I'm part of a royal family, my dad is king of mages in his realm, my mother was a demon queen." Most royals from his realm would have been offended, Blair was more curious. "I've never known anything else though.....," he'd lean back thinking.

"Soooo...flashy peace keepers?" he'd ask with a smile, "colorful costumes and fancy forms of magic to fight criminals?" It was a fun idea, if a strange one. "We're they considered law enforcement then? Could arrest people?"

He was enjoying this conversation, he didn't mind talking to people of other opinions, it let him get more information.

Oh jeez, and he was royalty? Angelo did his best to try and be careful, picking his words even as he explained a concept that, being realistic, was inherently insulting to him.

"Ideally you want the person most fit for the position to be in charge," Angelo said. "But holding it to a single family means the person in charge might not be the person most fit for the position. Often they end up being someone in the middle of the crowd, or someone totally unfit. A lot of monarchies collapsed that way - because their royal family became so unfit that the people revolted."

Maybe it was different where he was from. Maybe they just killed anyone unfit.

Who knew.

"Like that," he said. "We could arrest people like any other citizen, but mostly we just handed things off to the police. They were like... quasi law enforcement. Specialists."

He'd listen, interested in what Angelo had to say, it was a foreign concept. "That is......hmmm....interesting points," taking down unfit rules was indeed something that happened in their realm, well sometimes the unfit took down the fit.

"One of the classes I'm taking...they've started telling me a bit about that. Democracy and such." It was something he'd briefly heard of, but never actively seen before.

The half demon would nod. "So agents with abilities," the idea of people running around in silly costumes was odd.

"Agents with abilities is a good way to look at it," he said after a moment. "I guess you're probably going to have to do a lot of classes on... government structures, sociology, and world history?" That made sense. "I had to do history when I got here, but otherwise things were mostly the same."

He seemed unfamiliar with a lot of things, but there probably a lot of things he knew about that Angelo had no idea about. Like... well, magic. And demonology.

"I should probably get going though," Angelo said, a tad wary to ask about either. "But it was nice to meet you."
