"That was sort of the same thing for me. My dad would train me for hours on end daily, but he'd let me have the weekend off. If both of your parents are mages, then how'd you gt the power to talk to animals? I thought powers were a genetic thing."

"That's what I want to know."
Felix had already made a logical assumption - he wasn't really a Goldstone. But as yet, he couldn't prove it, and his 'parents' didn't seem to know either.
"I'm alright. If the answer will make a difference, I'll find out eventually."
"You shuld be proud of your power, Felix." Ember smiled encouragingly. "Just becuase it seems like a boring, insignificant, wimpy power, doesn't mean it is...So to me, I don't think it'll really make a difference at all."
"Hm. I guess you're right."
Unfortunately, Felix's curiosity led him to think otherwise. He didn't like the idea of not knowing something that should be so obvious to him...
"I've got to go to the library. Maybe I could find book that'll help me."
Ember felt a frown appear on her face when Felix said he had to go to the library, but Ember had an idea. "
You do? Well, what if I go with you? I could help you look."
