<div align=center>The sky was dotted with neat little grey clouds that could perhaps have meant snow was on the way, December was drawing ever closer and the weather was getting colder and colder. The courtyard was more or less empty aside from the students crossing it to go to whatever classes they had to be at. There was one girl who'd been sat cross legged on the grass for a little while, underneath the big tree that grew on one side. She watched everyone else with a disinterested sort of look on her face, her ears aeroplaned lazily to the sides and her tail flicking idly every now and then, like an irritated cat.
School was boring. Dee Dee would have perhaps rather been anywhere else but here right now, she had half a mind to skip her next class, one wouldn't hurt, right? She could catch up later, maths wasn't that important anyway. The girl yawned, her ears flicking backward as she did so. It was cold and Dee loved it, the colder it was the happier she was, at least that's how it was usually. Unfortunately due to the cold, most students had chosen to remain inside, leaving her little choice of anyone to play with. A playmate, that was all she really wanted. She leaned back on the trunk of the tree, staring up at it's leaves, the ones that were left on it were a pretty orange sort of colour, the rest of the branches had been stripped bare.
A breath of wind tugged at the girl's silver ringlets, pushing her hair out of her face and making her frown. She reached a hand up to fix it again, flattening her fringe and smoothing out the frizzier parts. Another yawn escaped her, and she stretched both legs out in front of herself, taking a moment or two to pull her stockings back up to her thighs. She couldn't understand how a school so full of supernatural beings could be so devoid of interesting people, or attractive people at that (or were they the same thing?) Her eyes flickered up again, watching, waiting for something to strike up her interest.</div>
