"The lake, huh." Tam said quietly as she entered the cooling area close to the water. Breathing in the air, she closed her eye and looked back on all the trees that she had seen on her way to her current location. All of different sizes, shapes, colors and types, she found trees a great way to test her powers. Opening her eyes once again, she took in the beautiful view of the lake itself, waking closer to it. She had brought a book, one that she hadn't read yet, knowing that there was less noise than where her dorm was, or anywhere on campus. At least the only noise out here would be birds and the wind.

James White, now known as Camille, was just relaxing
by the lake under the shade of an old willow tree. She
felt the cool breeze blow over her as her gloved hands
peered through one of the books she had been studying.

To say her time here at the academy had been eventful
would be an understatement. True, she still didn't know where
she was going in her life from here, but she was definitely a
bit more confident in her abilities and status right now.

That said, she felt like she was looking for...more. She couldn't
put her finger on it but it felt like she was missing something...
or someone...

Walking around the lake as she took it all in, it was strange that there was little to no noise around her. It felt strange to not hear any noise while being surrounded by so much. "Hmm..." She said to herself, not wanting it to feel so eerie around her. Sighing rather carefully, she found a nice sized rock to sit and read on rather than lay on the ground or by the lake, "Okay." She breathed in once again and calmed herself down, wanting to settle into her reading state. She was on page 120, not even close to the ending of the 2,204 page book. Looking around once more before she started, she noticed something that she hadn't before, a figure, a female one, rather far away from her. Thinking nothing of it, as the girl was not making any noise, she quieted down and opened the book.

At some point during her reading, Camille let out a yawn and glanced
up to see that someone else had joined her to do some reading. She
secretly thought the girl looked rather cute but she knew better than
to say anything that would sound weird.

Instead, she spoke up, "Say, that's a pretty big book you got there.
What exactly you reading there, if you don't mind me asking?"

Alarmed by the sudden voice that broke her concentration from her large book. Glaring up to see who it had been, she was surprised at the fact that it was the figure from before, talking to her. Realizing that was wasn't going to be able to read her book if she ignored the girl, she sat up, walked over to the women very casually, not wanting to waste her energy to get over there in a hurry.

"Oh this? This is is a compilation book, all of the Percy Jackson and the lightning thief books plus the new series, part 1. What about you?" She said as she loomed over the girl.

The other girl rose an eyebrow,"Percy Jackson? That's actually
one of my favorite book series of all time. Lucky you to get something
like that while I'm stuck with this..." She sighed and held up the cover
of the book she was reading. It was nothing fancy, just a man and a
woman embracing under the light of the moon.

"This is a romance novel I gotta study for one of my classes. It's one
of those really mushy ones that's laughably bad and at times reads
like some poor fanfiction. Using a lot of big words to sound smart and
stuff..."

She ran a hand through her hair, "Personally, I'd prefer if it was about
two girls instead of a guy and a girl. Would probably give this work a
bit more spice to it...whoops.." She covered her mouth, "Sorry..slip of
the tongue..please ignore that." She had to admit though, the other girl
did look awfully lovely in her eyes...
