After getting out of the hospital, the bullies had needless to say gotten in a lot of trouble, so some of their friends had tried to get payback on James. They had quickly regretted it.

The whole things had gotten James' detention, but word quickly spread to the other local bullies that he wasn't going to be a target anymore.

Either way, said detention was over for the day and James was meeting up with his best friend like he normally would. So he knocked on her door and waited.

Nyota would come in beaming a big grin on her face, smiling like the sun. While she wasn't one for gossip, even she couldn't keep away her prying ears when she James name in conversation and how he finally manned up enough to teach those thugs lesson in physical education. The kind that involved fist of course! Nyota heard all about how James knocked them on their asses, got in detention, and how he got the bullies to be so scared of him that they are too afraid to lay a finger on James! All of that just right after he got out of the hospital too! Now that was some bad assery!

"Heard all about you troublemaker!" greeted Nyota as she swung the door open "Finally took my advice and kicked the crap out them huh? Heard you knocked out some teeth too! Welll... don't just stand there dork, tell me all about the gorey details will you ya?"

Nyota then grabbed James by his wrist and dragged him over to one end of the couch in the middle of the room. Nyota then "pushed" James onto the right end of the couch while she collapsed onto the left end. Once she settled into her seat, she would give her friend a smirk. She was proud of James, being a real man standing up for himself.

He couldn't help but laugh a bit as Nyota greeted him and dragged him into her dorm, "hello to you too Nyota," he said jokingly.

James glanced around the dorm as they sat and couldn't help but feel disappointed that Klef wasn't there. Though he hadn't really realized it, he'd developed a small crush on her, so her pushing him away had started to make him feel down, depressed.

"Uh....yea...not much to tell," he looked back to her. "Not much to tell? You kicked their asses!" the Shadow spoke up in his head, James sent him a few calming thoughts, before returning his attention to Nyota. "They jumped me, I fought back," technically they had jumped him as sorta pay back for a few of them being arrested for attacking James, "I won, don't think they'll bother me again. Got detention over it though."

"Hell yes they won't now that they know who the dealing with now that you finally decided to grow a pair." laughed Nyota as she scooted over to playfully punched James on the shoulder

"Bullshit that you got a detention over it... but I guess that is the same with all schools really. I got more than my fair share of detentions back in Nebraska. You want me to order a celebration pizza or something? You know... for you good ass-wooping?" questioned Nyota as she brought up her smart phone.

He couldn't help but chuckle when she playfully punched his shoulder. James had been through a lot in his life, so a bit of him was getting tired of people making his life miserable.

He smiled a bit, the Shadow still grumbling about James' lack of pride in his victory, "thanks Nyota pizza sounds good." He felt decent right now, James struggled with depression pretty much all the time.

James' looked over to Klef' bed again, concern and worry in his eyes, she'd been in detention as well, for fighting too. "Jim, stop damn worrying," the Shadow grumbled.

Nyota nodded looked through her phone until she found the contact information for the usual go to pizza joint. She always had hard time with numbers so she just scrolled until she found the icon of a cheese pizza next to set of numbers. Nyota then brought the phone to her ear, waited until some young man answered phone and placed an order.

"Hey bud, can you get us a large cheese pizza with the cheese stuffed crust with garlic? Also can you order us a- hold up a second." Nyota lowered the phone, about to ask James what pizza he wanted when she caught him staring at Kelf's bed, looking a bit distant. Nyota frowned a little but wasn't going to bug him about it quite yet, she just needed to know what disgusting toppings her friend was going to sully his pizza with. "Hey dorkface! What sort of pizza did you want this time?"

He looked up, shaken from his distracted thoughts by Nyota, "uh....sorry." James was normally pretty good at hiding his emotions, but everything had shaken him up, "just pepperoni."

James put on a small smile, it wasn't very convincing but it was there, "so.....uh....yea." He coughed nervously, "so...you doing ok?" he asked hoping to get a conversation started.

A small shadow tentacle appeared on his shoulder and swayed calmly back and forth, it happened often to him.

Nods and continues with the order "And a large pepperoni pizza along with it. Uh-huh... yeah cash if fine. Yep same address as before. Cool... yeah understood, bye."

Nyota then ended the call and placed her phone laying out on the table.

"Pizza ordered and it will get here in... 30 or 40 minutes." she stated with shrug, then giving him a smirk as he asked her about how she doing. "Me? Yeah I am always doing fan-frigging-tastic dork~ Ha! What about you? What else aside from kicking ass?"

Nyota then shifted her body so that she was facing James, looking very relaxed at the moment.

Tilting his head slightly he chuckled, "thanks Nyota." They were an odd pair, but they've been best friends sense they met, "you have a way of brightening things up."

The Shadow grumbled, complaining about his inability to eat, and general dissatisfaction with things.

"Oh I'm fine," he said putting on a small smile, of course he was lying, and people who knew him well could see it in his eyes. "Just you know......normal stuff," he scratched the back of his head trying to seem casual. "So....did you want watch a movie or something?" he asked hoping to avoid the conversation about his wellbeing.

"Hrmm? I guess... I guess the stars I can make are very brig-... oh! Oh VERY funny of you Jim-boy." teased Nyota once she caught onto James pun. After chuckling for a moment, she lifts herself off from the couch and pulls up a collection of DVD's, all of them pertaining to the many shows and movies of the Star Trek series.

"Well we can continue on with season finale of season 3 of Next Generation... oh boys things get tense!" suggested Nyota as she flashes the DVD to James to get a quick look at, before going by her bed to collect the portable DVD player she had by her bed stand. Its truly amazing what you can find at thrift stores. Nyota brought the DVD and DVD player over to the table and began to set it up for their viewing pleasure.

"And... there... alright ready to get started dork?"
