Rowan would knock on the door, taking a breath as he waited. In truth he wasn't really sure what he was going to say, but he couldn't just sit by. Dela was like a little sister to him.

The door would open. "Hey Dela," he'd say, "wanted to talk if you got a moment." He'd give her a quick hug, entering if she gave permission.

"Its, uh, about what happened," what Lizzy had done was very much not ok. "I wanted to check on you." @Fox Tarts

Delaney's heart jumped at the knock of the door. She took a breathe, then two, to calm her nerves. It could be anyone at the door. . . it could be Lizzy. Delaney went to the door and asked who it was before opening. When she learned it was Rowan she opened the door. So Rowan wanted to talk. Dela knew where this was going, but it would be okay. Right?

He's mad, that voice whispered. But he hugged her. Maybe he's not, she thought back.

"What happened. . . yeah. Okay. Come in. . ." Dela held the door open and moved to sit on the side of her bed. Her various craft projects, and toys for Georgette were scattered around her side of the room. It was easy to be a messy person when you never saw the mess. Georgette was curled up at the head of her bed, and thumped her tail several times for Rowan's arrival.

"I'm fine." Delaney started, knowing he was going to ask that.

Rowan would lean down and pet Georgette. "Yeah, I guessed the other guys have already been poking at you some," he'd say, "I came as soon as I got off from work." He wanted to come sooner but couldn't get anyone to trade shifts with him.

"What happened.....it wasn't your fault," he'd tell her, "I know the voices are telling you otherwise...and I know that blaming yourself when something bad happens is something we all do." He'd clear his throat. "Anyways, don't blame yourself, you didn't do anything wrong Dela." The blame landed Lizzy and no one else.

"Ao..yeah...," in truth he wasn't completely sure how to handle this situation. "Have you talked to Lizzy any?" he'd ask.

"Yeah, some." Delaney didn't really want to talk about it. She explained what happened but any attempt to pry into details were deflected. She just, didn't want to think about it anymore. Her feelings were still tangled, she struggled with guilt.

The voices. . . but it was her, she was telling herself these things. Probably because she was the problem. This all started because of her. "I'll try not to." She said, and tried to smile. "Don't worry about it. I'd hate if you lost sleep over this. . . this stupid drama."

On the question of if she's talked to Lizzy Delaney said a firm, "No. And I don't want to talk to her either. She really upset Hector and I don't want to hear her apologize for getting caught." She was glad the school let her transfer dorms because she wasn't sure what she would have done if were still living with Lizzy.

He'd smile. "I don't sleep much anyways," he mostly had nightmares anymore, "so, yeah, always around if you need to talk, even if it's late." Rowan tried to be a dad friend to the eldritch bunch, it was just in his nature.

Rowan would nod. "Ok, yeah, don't force yourself to talk to her if your uncomfortable with it," he hoped they would reconcile eventually, but he knew that trying to force it could make things worse.

At this point the voice would start up, telling him cat the room on fire, to burn it all down. Of course he ignored them. "Sorry....," he'd say when he realized he'd gone quiet, "voices started up again."

"Yeah, totally." Delaney said. Rowan was an honest guy who meant what he said, but still, she didn't think she'll be texting anyone about this. Not even about her own awful thoughts. "I don't plan on talking to her at all." Delaney said with perhaps a little too much force. Of course Lizzy has tried to reach out, but Delaney either left her on read or ignored her.

"Man, at least I can ignore my voices," She said with a laugh, trying to lift the mood. "Your voices are like an angry kid with a lighter."

He'd nod. "Ok, just.....keep it the possibility of talking to her later on in mind," he'd say, no pressure in his voice. "But yeah, take it slow, I know you'll figure it out."

Rowan would chuckle. "Pretty much, the voices think that every situation can be solved by burning things," it didn't help that the voices sometimes sounded like his parents. "They sometimes pop up in my dreams, but usually they just pop up randomly."

The bandaged boy would adjust the bandages on his chin. "So, how's your boyfriend? He ok?"

Keep the possibility of talking to her open, yeah, Delaney would do just that. Which was sarcasm, but she kept that off her face. The last thing she wanted was a friendship lecture. Especially when said in defense for Lizzy. Delaney was relieved with the change of topic.

"I mean, I'd like it if all problems could be solved with a little fire. Nice and simple, and like, it's fire." She chuckled, "Hector is fine. Like, yeah, he's fine. We're going on a date soon. Nothing fancy, just going out for dinner together."
