Comments at the lake :open:

Anala gasped and was almost crying as she watched the fish be hit. "Why are you doing such a cruel thing to those poor fish?!?" Her voice was alarmed yet still in a polite tone as she spoke. "Its so mean no matter how you look at it, I'm very sorry for asking this at fear of being impolite, but does every one here share the same opinion of animals?" She looked concerned and alarmed at the same time, as she became increasingly aware of her extreme animal like apperance.

Mat glances over at her without expression on his face, "I didn't kill the thing, only stunned it for like, 2 seconds. It's probably on the other side of the lake by now. Besides.." he says, turning back to the water, "I don't kill what I don't eat, and I'm not planning on eating fish today thank you.." He was being arrogant again and he realized it almost immediately, "I'm sorry if it bothered you.." He then raises the gunblade up and rests it upon his shoulder. He walks back over to his tree and looks up it, before jumping up with agile and landing easily on a branch a few feet up.

Ember watched curiously and quietly as the boy who was leaning back on a tree, walked towards the lake's edge and shot a fish. Her jaw only dropped slightly, but she could tell Anala's feel to the floor. Why was she always so polite? It was kind of annoying, but she could get over it. "You don't need to be polite, Anala. And you don't have to be so rude. She knew she sounded mean or whatever, but she didn't like the way the guy talked to them, even if he 'apologized'.

Anala looked down to her feet. "But if I'm not polite, then how can I make sure not to insult some one...some one who may take an impolite comment the wrong way. I don't think I could handle something like that, so I do beilive that this is my only option." She said the word running out like a stream, her vioce calm and quiet, thoughtful and insightful. "So then to keep myself in the good books so to speak with every one, I would rather be polite and incorrect, then rude and arrogant, and risking a confrontation with any one." She said just as softly. Her red eyes considering her feet and the grass that was being crushed under them, remembering that there were two other people there, it was a small crowd. Only a small group, not even really enough to be considered a crowd, though she still felt her heart beating, not quickly but slowly, pulsing in her chest shaking her lungs, and throbbing in her head and ears. She felt herself shaking as her chest rose and fell with breath. Taking a step back she looked up and smiled uneasily.

"I don't mind his rudness, besides there's no point in telling some one something is wrong when they are intelligent to know the difference between right and wrong. Though if one chooses to be rude then who are we to tell him not to be, people do things for all sorts of reasons, am I not right?" She pulled her hands in front of her, and held them palm to sweaty palm, her ears pinned back but slightly up, her tail still low, but swaying from side to side. This isn't so bad, just don't panic. She thought to herself as encouragement. Anala's eyes ran over everything, the people, the tree, the lake and she realized, not for the first time, how different she must seem. Nobody she had seen had a tail, no one else feared large groups, in fact some people thrived in groups, what would she do when her classes started...She pondered over this delema while she waited for something else to be said, hoping to learn the names of the new people that she had just met.

((OOC: i felt bad for not being able to post very quickly, so i tried to make it as long as i could!! ^_^sorry!))

Mat continues to watch the two quietly. He didn't particularly care for the girl named Ember, he never took being corrected after apologizing too well. He thought the other girl odd however and studied her quietly. He wondered why she was so worried about offending people, it really wasn't that big of a deal. He then began to wonder about the ears and the tail, wanting to ask about it. Shaking his head, he decides against it and just listens in to their conversation. He leans back against the large trunk of the tree, relaxing casually a a gentle breeze blew through and ruffled his hair.

What was it with the girl and being so polite? It would be quite hard for ember to be polite; she was naturally blunt. "Well, sometimes you need to be impolite. Not everyone deserves to be treated nicely. She listened to what Anala had to say about preferring to be polite than impolite and risk rising confrontation. Ember still couldn't understand why, but she remained silent.

Ember simply shrugged at Anala's question about telling someone if he or she is rude or not. Personally, she believed she should say if he's being rude or not, because most of the time they're rude because they want to be.

Still eying Mat, she could just feel a sneer coming on. Just recently meeting him, and she could already tell that she wasn't fond of him. She watched him lean against the tree and she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Anala was taken back by the girl's comment. "What does it matter if they deserve it or not?" She asked thinking for a moment. "Should you not treat every one with respect? Weather or not you feel they deserve it? As I have often seen it is only a matter of opinion of who deserves courtousy. I have only met you for the first time, how am I to have an opinion on you?" She said softly, not meaning for her tone to let in a little shake, it was the most time she had spent with other people, and the most words she had spoken to some one in 6 years. She couldn't help but be polite, perhaps the girl would realize this.

Mat frowned quietly. The one named Anala gave a reasonable argument to her cause, one that he could somewhat relate to. He chuckles quietly at the other girl. She amused him, he had heard what she had said and he knew that she was implying about him. "Heh..she's right..everyone deserves a chance to screw up..and they also deserve a chance to repent for their screw ups.." With a smile he rises to his feet and jumps nimbly out of the tree. He walks over to the two girls and smiles, "I'd like to offer a small gift as apology for my actions earlier." he offers them both quietly.

Ember sighed deeply, thinking on how to explain it properly to Anala, she was misinterpreting what she meant. She took a deep breath and tried to explain to her. "No...what I mean is that is someone treats you with disrespect, then why should you treat them with respect?" Ember could sense that the girl couldn't help but be constantly polite. That fact didn't really bother her, but what did was the question of why was she always polite.

She rolled her eyes at the boy. "I'm not saying that people shouldn't get a second chance, because they do." Ember looked at the boy suspiciously. She had the odd feeling that he was up to something, but of course she couldn't say that. She simply stood there, giving him a shrug.
