Ardos grunted because of course he could get the damn door open, pulling out his keys from his pocket. A few receipts flew out but he didn't give a shit. That was somebody not completely injured's problem now.
The living room was dark, but Ardos didn't turn on the lights because he preferred the darkness anyway. He plopped down on the couch, knocking on the door nearby.
"Zen, I'm home, sorry, I'm kind of bleeding everywhere."
"What!?"
Zen rushed out of the bedroom in her pajamas, hair mussed, eyes bleary as they adjusted to the dark again. She saw another person standing there and jumped, covering her mouth.
"Oh, um, hello!"
"Zen, this is... Fuck, I dunno. There was a big misunderstanding and she kicked my ass, end of story."
"Should we...?"
Ardos shook his head. "Nah. She's fine. Like I said, it was a misunderstanding."
