Cold...

Enelya shivered, walking out to the sea. She had a lot on her mind, and wasn't sure how to handle it. A slight frown stained her face, and her eyes were full of sorrow, and confusion. She wore a dark forest green skirt, lapping at the waves, and she walked barefoot, squishing the sand inbetween her toes. She had left Archie had the dorms, wanting to be as alone as possible, even though talking to pretty much every living thing, she thought that impossible. A useless attempt.

She brought her hands to the opposite arms, rubbing them, hoping to find some heat in them. The ocean was beautiful, and a great place to think. She thought of all sorts of things, life, friends, the academy, Kotah's leaving, then... she tried to remember her past... She couldn't even remember having parents, nor growing up, except with a few memories of Archie. Did she even have parents...? Her mind then wandered to Kotah. She felt desparately alone, even though natures chatters were all around her. She...loved him.

She prayed to whatever superior would listen to her. "Keep him safe, help him come back... Don't let anything happen to him." Her voice shook, but she tried to keep it strong. "You can't take him away, he didn't hear that I loved him. He didn't hear the words. Please, help him come back to me..." Her heart was heavy, but her love was strong. Her first love... How pleasant.

Ember was walking along the shore of the beach, singing to herself in a rather happy mood. It was kind of cold, but she didn't really care. She was wearing a pale pink skirt and a white shirt, so she was grateful to have decided on bringing along her brown "Happy Tree Friends" sweatshirt. Ember had removed her flip flops, letting her toes sink slightly into the wet sand with each step and the ocean's cool salt water would reach her feet and sizzle everytime.

She observed how beautiful the ocean looked, the waves, the smell, it almost made her want to jump right in, but she couldn't. She didn't want ot have to power down, epsecially when she was all alone and she wasn't wearing her bathing suit and didn't bring a towel. Ember thought about the last time she had ever stepped foot in the ocean and frowned. She realized it had been seven years when she last swam in the ocean's water.

Ember turned her head and tried to pay attention to something else other than wanting to swim in the ocean, when she saw someone. A girl. She squinted her eyes, having a feeling that she recognized the girl. She walked away form the edge of the water and closer to teh girl. She did know her, it was Enelya, the girl she met in the art room; and she looked sad. "Enelya?" She asked. She was rubbing her arms, which was always asign that said that the person wasn't in a happy-go-lucky mood. "What's wrong?"

((OOC: What a great sweater to wear around Enelya :P ))

Enelya jumped slightly, at the human contact. She'd been out here for quite some time, with only the silent rhythmn of the ocean lapping at her feet for company. Oddly enough Nature left her alone, apparently noticing the sorrow in her. She brought her hands to her face, wiping away any idle tear that may have stained her face, her red cheeks from the cold wind went white at the pressure from her fingers, instantly flushing again as they brushed over them.

She tried to manage a smile, but it was a broken smile, and her eyes were a deep violet purple, instead of a gentle lavander. "Oh, Hello Ember, sorry, you startled me. How'd your painting come along? I didn't get to see you finish it all. But what I did see was lovely."

Enelya didn't really want to talk about her problems, she didn't want to impose them on someone else, so if she could avoid it, she would. But it seemed that Ember geniuely cared, so maybe she would tell her if she persisted... She was just so used to being the helper; instead of the one recieving it.

((OOC: Thanks! ^_^ ))

Ember watched quietly as Enelya wiped away a stray tear fomr her tear stained cheeks. She wondered why she'd been crying? She decided to wait a bit before asking.

Enelya tried to smile but it didn't come out, Ember had to ask, but first she had to answer Enelya's question. "My painting? It came out really nice, actually thanks. I have it in my dorm room if you wanna come by and see it sometime."

Ember took a deep breath and asked the question she'd been dying to ask. "Enelya, what's wrong? you look really sad, and you were crying earlier, i saw you wipe away a tear, so tell me. You can trust me,' She said with a warm smile.

Enelya nodded, and her eyes went wide, "Oh really? I would love to see it. I'm sure its beautiful." She crossed her arms, being so cold, and spread her lips, in attempt of a smile.

At Ember's question, Enelya looked down, and sniffed. She took a deep breath, and looked back up at Ember, and again, tried to smile. "It's silly, really. I feel so foolish getting so worked up about it..." Her voice trailed off, and the worried look in Ember's eyes convinced her she really cared. Enelya looked her in the eyes, and spoke again, "It's about Kotah... He went on some trip, and I fear for his safety... I have a feeling he's either not going to come back, or return extremely changed... I worry about him..."

As she finished her explaination, she looke down again, sniffing. She dug her toes into the sand, what she always did when she was uncomfortable, and the flowers woven in her hair seemed to wilt a little.

Ember noticed Enelya rub her arms, probably feeling cold. She pulled off her sweatshirt and handed it over to Enelya, "Here. You look cold."

"Kotah?" EMber thought why the name sounded so familiar, and then she remembered, he was the boy who entered the art classromm and began talking to Enelya. Ember shook her head. "It's not silly at all. It's perfectly normal to fear someone's safety, especially if it's somone you really care about..."

Enelya looked down and sniffled a few times, Ember knew what she had to do. She slowly walked closer and gave Enelya a warm hug, hoping it would help her feel at least a bit better. "It's okay."

Enelya took the sweater graciously and spread her lips, pulling it over her head and stuffing her head through. She then smoothed her hair and whispered a "thank you."

Enelya returned Ember's hug. She held her tight, greatly appriciating the warmth and kindness Ember had showed her. "I cannot tell you how thankful I am for your kindness." She managed a weak smile, and looked down.

Enelya then wandered over from the sea, into some dry sand, and sat down. She put her head in her hands and summoned a small daisy from the sand, playing with it, although it was some what wilted, because of her mood. "Do you ever get that feeling? Like something's not right.. and that something bad is going to happen? And well.. I think I might.." She looked down, playing with the daisy. "Love him."

Her face flushed a strawberry red, and tears started swelling in her eyes. She looked up, not wanting to let them fall. She hated how worked up she was getting, and how silly she was. He was going to be fine. He's coming back....He promised.

"No problem," Ember said with a smile.

Ember transfered a small wave of heat to give Enelya a little more warmth when hugging her. "It's okay, I'm always here if you need me."

Eneyla walked away from the sea and sat down in some dry sand, so Ember followed and sat down next to her. She watched her summon a flower from the sand and played with it, even though it seemed old and wilted, but Ember smiled. Enelya asked her a question. At first, she didn't understand what she had ment, but after thinking it over, she understood. "Yeah, i've had that feeling...kind of like a premonition....you love him? Kotah?"

Ember could see that Enelya was getting upset...thinking about Kotah. "What happened between you guys? Or to him?"

Enelya nodded at her words, and smiled a little, here and there, acknowledging her help, and care. She sighed, and shut her eyes, thinking for a moment, how she would answer her next questions.

"He needed to go on a 'self-enlightening' journey. And yes... I think I do love him. But ever since he's left, I feel like something bad is going to happen to him... I think I might go find him...Would..." she shook her head, not wanting to pull Ember from whoever she had made friends with here. "Nevermind. Thank you again, so much for your kindness. I hope in another life, we can meet again."

Enelya got up, and brushed off her butt. She ran to the dorms, and packed the few things she owned. Her flower book, her few clothes, and Archimedes. She glided to the end of the Starlight property, and looked back, and sighed. Was she going to miss this place? She wasn't exactly sure... Maybe the sunsets... but they happened everywhere. "Goodbye." She whispered.

Ember listened carefully to Enelya as she explained. She must love him to want and find him. She had drifted of what she was saying, but Ember wanted to know. "What were you going to say?"

Before Ember knew it, Enelya got and and began tto leave, saying "Goodbye". What? Ember ran in fornt of her. "What do you mean 'Goodbye'?"
