Whats the best part of the fall season: Pumpkin Spice lattes. While she isn't exactly that stereotypical white girl (she is like... asian and middle-eastern), not even she can't escape that allure that is pumpkin spice. But the promise of a pumpkin spice beverage wasn't the only thing that brought her here, standing outside of coffee shop in a heavy winter jacket and tight-fitting jeans. It also gave her an excuse to spend some time with her old acquaintance Kelf. Dispite having been dormed together and both of them being friends with James, the two of them never really did much with each other. Never seemed to come up for some reason. Well, she figured that she would change that; starting today.

She had called Kelf earlier about going together to grab a cup of coffee and catch up with each other. Normally she would not consider herself the proactive one but... maybe the time spend here has changed her a little. Who knows. It was almost something on a whim really... just have something to share a drink and Kelf was probably the closest thing to a female friend that she had. They at least got along with each other for the most part.

Nyota glanced up from her phone and looked up, expecting to see Kelf at any moment now.

Fall had a special place in Klef's heart as an ex favorite season. While the crisp air and exciting holidays were always welcome, it was hard to appreciate the other aspects of the season without her sight. The leaves quickly lost their charm after a few frustrated attempts at navigating through them on her way over to meet Nyota. Walking through several blocks of leaves was a pain, but it would be worth it to meet up with her roommate for the first time in months. There was nothing wrong with her having to ditch Nyota for a 'medical emergency'. What she screwed up on was the lack of interaction they had while roommates. Sure they acknowledged each other's existence but beyond that she knew absolutely nothing about her roommate of half a year, other than the fact that she was a bit of a slob like her. Perhaps today would be the day they could finally change that.

Against all odds, or leaves in this case, Klef managed to arrive only a few minutes late. She looked like a bit of a mess, but it would only raise some serious questions if she wasn't looking like she had crawled out of a dumpster full of rabid cats at any given time. At least she bothered to wear cargo pants that actually fit her this time. The hardest part was going to be finding Nyota. There were bumps on the sidewalk to tell her how far to go and which way and when to stop for traffics, but the same didn't apply for people. Instead, she just starting waving her hand around, even if it was not in the right direction, hopefully it would be enough to grab her attention.

" Nyota! Over here!"

Nyota's ear's perk and her head twisted in the direction of Klef's voice. She had crane her head to spot the single waving arm among the sea of bobbling heads of passerbys.

"Aye there my old roomie!" called out Nyota with soft chuckle, slipping her phone and hand into her coat pocket. She walks against the flow of the crowd until she was face to face with Klef, reunited after quite a long time. "Hee... long time no see. I was beginning to wonder if you were goint to show up at all but... here you are. So how you been dork? Anything interesting happen to you since we were last the same place together?"

Nyota paused, then looked back to the coffee shop for a moment, then turned backed to Klef.

"Ah you know what... how about we get inside first before you answer that question so that we are not taking up space in the middle of the sidewalk. We have plenty of time to talk once we are waiting in line." she suggested, giving Klef a warm smile.
