Cleaning Out the Closet

"Please, don't apologize," Zora said as she looked up at him when he apologized. "We have both suffered a loss. And you have every right to your feelings," she pointed out. "You may have not been close, but it doesn't mean you didn't love your son, and you don't mourn his loss," she stated.

When Frederick asked about her son, Zora smiled and then nodded. "Jeremiah," she said, "He's been incredible through all of this, very supportive. I am extremely proud of him," she confessed as she thought about her son.

"Oh, speaking of which," Zora said as she suddenly remembered something. "My son wanted to know if he could pay you his condolences personally?"

"Thank you. Jeremiah will be happy to know that you are fine with the idea," Zora said, thanking Frederick for allowing her son to meet with him personally. She had to admit though, she had also been very surprised when her son had asked to meet Broen's father.

Looking then at her watch, Zora was quite surprised at the time. She had just spent a good chunk of the day at Frederick's place, and had, for the first time in a while, felt somewhat normal.

"I really should be going soon though," she said as looked at Frederick, "Felen is probably wondering where I got to, and I promised Jeremiah I´d call him as soon as I talked to you about him paying you his condolences," she explained.
