The monster was feeling bloodlust and rage, but it wasn't stupid. As soon as it realized there was probably no breaking through Alexis' skin it jumped off of him, and dodged Alexis' attempt to grab at it and the steel nails. Instead it zoomed in front of him at high speed and attempted to bite at Alexis' throat where there weren't steel nails. It would bite down at immense force, and if the monster was able to get a good grip it would be tough to pull it off. Alexis' words didn't get to it, but they got to Tomo who was still trying to gain control, having an intense mental battle against what dwell inside her.

Alexis' jaws snapped shut with a loud crack as Tomo dodged away. He snorted in frustration and turned to face her again but she was already flying back towards his throat. The tough hide there would keep her from hurting him badly just like the rest of his body but as she attacked she managed to find something she could sink her teeth into. Namely the not as tough orange fin along the side of his head.

Alexis roared loudly as he felt her dig in and tear at the fin a little, shaking the area with his ferocity. The smart thing to do would have been to turn to dust and let her fall through him. But he was annoyed and a little pissed off himself. So instead he started forming a single long nail of steel poking out of his neck towards her and at the same time flung his head roughly to the side so Tomo would either be flung off by the extremely strong whipping motion or just impaled by the spike when he whipped back the other way.

Alexis could fling cars like that and even if Tomo could hold on well, his fin itself was ripping open as her body pulled against it.

The moment the monster could feel its teeth get a grip it let out a victorious sounding yowl and it started furiously tugging and ripping away at the fin. It craved blood, it wanted to cause pain. But Tomo was feeling immense guilt and regret and frustration, this was going very badly, she'd fucked up.
The monster did not notice, or did not acknowledge, the steel nail forming from Alexis neck and kept growling and biting on the fin.

Alexis flung his head, and the monster was able to keep its grip. But it loosened, and thus when it was yanked back towards Alexis, and the nail, its jaws let go of the fin and its momentum slowed. The nail didn't impale it, but it did give the monster a nasty scrape on the side. The monster yowled in pain and jumped away. This was the moment when Tomo grabbed back control, and after taking considerable distance from Alexis she leaned on a tree, holding her side. Tomo lifted a hand, telling Alexis to wait.
"It's me. It's me now. Don't kill me yet."

Alexis' eyes narrowed in fury as the annoying little cat and a long low rumble spilled forth from his throat. Blood trickled down the side of his head from the torn fin, giving off a little steam as it hit the cold air.

He shook his head and then raised the single claw at the end of one of his wings to put a little snow against the wound. "I'm not going to kill you. Dont be so dramatic," he snorted. But his own instinct to press the attack was pretty strong.

"Focus on something not angry," he added, paraphrasing something one of his regalia had said when teaching him self control. The wyvern stayed there eying Tomo as he waited. After a minute his face relaxed and his fine were healing.

The taste of blood lingered in Tomo's mouth and she snarled a bit to herself, spitting on the snow. The monster was struggling for control, but Tomo didn't let it and stood still. Warm blood was trickling down her hips and thigh, and unlike Alexis' Tomo's wound would not regenerate.
"Who's being dramatic? That spike of yours could've killed me."
Tomo said with a huff, and spat one more time on the snow. Damn, either Alexis tasted gross or Tomo's taste buds were messed up in this form.

Tomo opened her mouth to give Alexis a snarky, annoyed answer, but that probabky wouldn't have helped her self-control. So instead she sighed and closed her eyes. Tomo thought about...playing violin. Dancing. Hunting. Anything else but rage and the monster. And the monster slowly retreated, leaving just mentally exhausted Tomo. She was still in her bakeneko form, at least.

He'd been about to use his ability to remove his emotions if his own bloodlust got too strong, but it seemed the same advice he'd given Tomo was working for him too. He sat there staring at the bleeding little cat girl and thought of one thing. Tomo, and her brother too, reminded him so much of his cousin Riva. She was about the same age he was pretty sure and could be just as out of control as the rest of the Brouillards if she wanted to be. But she was more like his little sister.

No way could he strike out at a wounded kid like that. He was pretty much seeing Rive standing there instead of Tomo and he let out a huff of misty air. "You bake... bakenek... cats can ttake a lot like that. Besides you were supposed to let go," he growled out but his tone lacked anger or malice. Honestly he thought the tail barb stab he'd done to Tadashi had been worse than what the steel nail would have done to Tomo. Unless she was really unlucky with how she hit it.

The wyvern lurched and awkwardly crawled towards Tomo. Alexis' kind were not graceful when walking on land and it showed. He carefully leaned his head in closer to look at her wounds. They were no joke and they were bleeding enough to fill the air with the pungent aroma of fresh blood but he figured she'd be ok. "So.... are you... ok?" It was kind of a dumb question but one he had to ask.

Alexis seemed like a grump, and he was kind of a grump, but Tomo could tell the guy wasn't just a simple grump. She could tell even without taking a look at the guy's soul. Tomo kinda got the tsundere vibe from him.

Tomo's hand, that lacked two fingers, was now covered in blood, and as she looked down on it Tomo could feel some old trauma stir. Some flashes of that day, many years ago, lashed in her mind. But it wasn't enough to trigger a panic attack. Tomo was a lot more balanced now, thanks yo the little psyche healing trick she had learned.
Tomo looked over at Alexis, who was coming over really clumsily. It made Tomo grin and snicker a bit, though that was replaced by surprise when Alexis asked if she was okay. Tomo looked down at the wound, and shrugged.
"I've been way worse. This'll heal in no time."

Alexis ignored the snickering but had she made a joke about it he might have shoved her to the ground. He knew that he sucked at moving on land like that but flying over to check on her wasn't really possible with her leaning up under a tree.

She was tough but a bleed was a bleed. "Dont be stupid. Put some pressure and snow on it at least," he growled and then sat down. His tail lashed idly at a tree, rubbing one of the spines on it against the bark with a roughness rasping sound.

Alexis' long tongue flipped up to lick along his wounds, testing to see how they were healing. "Guessing you fight more than your brother." It was pretty clear to anyone who was used to it. There was a certain attitude a fighter took towards minor injuries.

Tomo kind of wishes she had a badass form like Alexis, she had her bakeneko form but in the end that was more stealth than direct combat based. Though Alexis did seem clumsy on land, and Tomo felt uneasy when flying. High places were her thing, and balancing, but flying? Eh.

"Okay, moooom."
Tomo said with a grin and laughed a bit, holding back a grimace when it ached her side. She grabbed a handful of snow and lifted her jacket and shirt, not enough for it to be indecent. But enough so that Alexis would be able to see, that Tomo's other side had a big scar that looked like she had been mauled by dozens of small thorns.
Tomo pressed the snow against the wound, the short white fur still covering her body was stained in blood on Tomo's face, arms and stomach. But the bleeding was already slowing down, Tomo would be all fixed as soon as she saw a person she knew who could heal injuries without saying a word to anyone. Especially not Shiro or Tada.

"Oh yeah. Tadashi is a cinnamon bun, who knows what he and Shiro would do if I didn't know how to throw a punch?"
Tomo snickered a bit and turned to look at Alexis, now with a bit more serious face.
"Don't tell Tada that this happened, no point worrying him over this kinda small injury."

Alexis snorted again and lay down on the snowy ground to wait for her to tend to the wounds, his large leathery wings folded carefully. He had backed up a little to give her some space but he did see the scarring. But that was a question he didn't need an answer to. He'd had plenty of his own scars before his blood had started generating his body.

"He's really not a fighter. Way too nice and shit," Alexis laughed in agreement. A cinnamon roll as she'd put it. Though he had seen a hint of what Tadashi was like when his siblings were in danger or being hurt. "Don't know that much about Shiro." That was a lie though. Tadashi hadn't shared everything with him but he knew enough about them to figure she was a bit of a victim rather than a fighter. At least so far.

As much as a wyvern could, he rolled his eyes. Tadashi probably was already worried. "Whatever. Not like I was going to give him a play by play or anything," Alexis sighed dismissively. "But he did send you to me and he's not that dumb." Alexis' wounds had healed fully by then and he dug into some of the untouched snow with his tongue to flick it up into his open mouth.
