So I have created Oriana Whitegold-Yskaandrar, head of the Yskaandrar clan. They lack a lot of the raw power or material wealth of other dragon clans, but what they do have is knowledge. A massive archive of all sorts of knowledge on essentially any topic on Earth, dating back to the beginnings of human history. The Library of Alexandria wishes it was this stocked. And everything is backed up magically, electronically, etc. Redundant systems for redundant systems.
I need members of this clan. Oriana is the current head, after her mate Bastion was killed during an attack nearly fifteen years prior. Many other members of the clan died as well, and Oriana's only remaining child was taken.
The clan is still licking it's wounds, and some blame Oriana's counsel to Bastion for the attack in the first place. She wants the clan to make a name for themselves beyond just being a convenient source of information.
At least one senior member of the clan wants Oriana gone, and is stirring the pot to get her out of power. The general sentiment is that because she married into the clan, she shouldn't be making decisions. So there is a push to force her to abdicate her position altogether or remarry and forfeit the title of head to her mate. Neither of which she is willing to do.
Because the clan is small, due to the earlier attack, Oriana is also considering bringing in flawless dragons who wish to ally with the Yskaandrar. This is, of course, an unpopular move, but one she is confident in.
