Pandora smiled feeling a little relief. she lowered herself to be eye level with Phaedra before speaking to the little girl. "Mommy needs you to keep an eye on the house for a little longer ok? You watch over your sisters and I'll be home soon. I promise." The difference in her tone when speaking to the child as a pose to other people was almost as if she were another person all together. she actually sounded as though she were a caring and nurturing parent. At least to the best of her abilities.

Phaedra nodded and skittered up a nearby wall until she settled in her own Hammock next to her sisters. She hung there a moment watching Felix and Pandora before resting her head in her arms.

"For your report Felix. That was Phaedra. The others are Dalia, Amber and Ossa." Pandora said in a hushed tone. These children were quickly becoming her entire life. She was making choices to stay home at night, to control her language, to act in a more controlled manner in general. She even had a maternal streak that was starting to show itself.

"This is why I want to keep them hidden until they are bigger. We are of the frightening variety, and even though they haven't done anything wrong, someone might try to hurt them just because..." She sighed as she lowered her gaze to the floor. Felix had acknowledged the restraint she had showed this evening. She wasn't going to admit it, but it made her fell a sense of pride knowing that some one was giving her praise. It was also nice that someone actually acknowledged that she was capable of terrible things. Most other people wrote her off as not a threat so casually.

She gave one more quick look to her kids before leading Felix out of the apartment. Her door had been damaged from the forced entry, and it would need to be replaced by the landlord ASAP.

"Mr. Felix... Thank you for handling this."

Felix watched the interaction with a fond smile. In that moment, there was no showing off, no mother of the year contest most mothers tried to do. It was just something so loving and openly vulnerable that he wasn't sure if he should be seeing it. He adored it, and perhaps, envied it a little. He knew at his core, this was what his job was supposed to be preserve: Giving good people and their kids a shot at a safe life. No family should've been through what he'd been through. He was going to fight for that with everything he's got.

He wrote all of this down and nodded in the right areas as they walked and talked. He led her back to her desk, gave his supervisors updates, and came back to her with the release forms. "I know. You haven't really built the best reputation for yourself. But that person, and the Pandora you are now, don't necessarily have to be the same person. Motherhood can change a person. As long as this Pandora stays, me and the PD will do our best to protect her interests."

He checked the parts of the form that needed her signature and offered it to her with a pen and a smile. "You don't have to thank me for doing my job, Pandora. Just sign here, here, and here. We'll look into the guy and hopefully weed out the rest of the punks, I promise." He folded his hands on the desk. "When you're done, you're free to go."
