Darkness surrounded Painter eyebrows as he hit the ground, and flooded him a few seconds later. In his unconscious state, he began to dream about something he'd never seen before:

Painter was trapped in a long corridor, seemingly endless from the point where he stands. As he turns around, he sees the same never-ending darkness in the same direction. He blinks and turn back around, deciding if he wanted out, that would be the way he'd go.

He set out, walking quietly into the looming darkness set before him. Scanning either wall around him with his hands, he felt for a door to go through. After hours, or minutes, time was lost to him, he saw a sliver of light ahead of him and raced towards it.

When he reaches the door, it gently pushes it open and looks around the room. The room seemed empty other than a table with straps and a tray beside it with knives and things used to cut with. He instantly senses something wrong, but before he turns to leave he is suddenly hit from behind by someone hard, onto the table, and with the help of a couple of others is strapped to the table, despite much struggle.

He begins to try and glans over his shoulder, but the men seem to be veiled by dark robes over their body. Then out of the corner of his eye, he sees one of them grab a knife and walk over to him, laughing maniacally the whole time. Painter's eyes shoot wide open as the realization of what they're about to do hits him,
"NO!! NO NOT MY WINGS, DON'T TOUCH ME!!" He begins kicking and shouting furiously as he feels the knife dig into his skin.

All the while while this dream is occurring, Painter can be seen, flailing around and shouting "not my wings" on the ground in front of Allie.

Allie ran over to him, she immediately checked his vital signs. She found he was just exhausted, she sat by him waiting for him to awake. She didn't know why out of all the people in the world he was the first she truly believed would do as he said. She looked at him as he slept, she wondered why she felt so connected with him as a friend. She guessed it was because of the wings or something, she bit her lip wondering why he wanted to help her so much.

She thought about flying, how nice it was that he took her flying again. She moved closer to him feeling guilty that she was so hard on him. She never met someone so sweet as he was to her, for him to want to help her meant the world to her. He believed her, he listened to her, she had the wind make a pillow under his head so he wouldn't be uncomfortable. She felt a sharp pain in her shoulder again, it started to bleed.

She sighed, "Bloody wound..." She thought about how much a menace the wound had been, she couldn't go to any dances or anything without it bleeding. She sighed it wouldn't exactly be nice, not that she'd have a date anyway. She sighed, suddenly she heard him shouting and failing. She moved quickly to him and shook him lightly at first trying to wake him. He was obiviously in a nightmare of some kind. "WAKE UP!!!"

Painter wakes up in a sweat and lunges up in the air angrily, extending his wings to either side of him and causing a powerful gust of wind to be caused by them, knocking over a few of the trees around him. With a sigh, he slowly floats back down to the ground and looks at Allie quietly, "S..sorry.." he said quietly, closing his eyes and reliving the nightmare again in his head. "It..it just hurt so bad..all the pain..I..I could actually feel it..feel them ripping my wings right out of my back.." he shudders and wraps his arms around himself, "What frightens me the most is knowing that is what happened to you, and what may happen to me..so I'll be ready.."

The wind blew hard Allie quickly ducked and created a shaft to keep her safe from the wind. She looked up at him, she was afraid he was hurt from the fall. She had care in her eyes, she didn't know why she should care about him. She decided it must've been the fact he was the only one who cared.

"S..sorry.."

She smiled kindly to him, she listened to him and her face grew pale. She closed her eyes as she heard it, her back ached just thinking about how hard it was. She looked down, her mind thought about it and she wanted so much to act as though it never happened even though it did.

"It..it just hurt so bad..all the pain..I..I could actually feel it..feel them ripping my wings right out of my back.. What frightens me the most is knowing that is what happened to you, and what may happen to me..so I'll be ready.."

She looked at him and moved closer, "As a friend I won't allow what happened to me happen to you. I don't want anyone to suffer that, to lose something that's a part of you is harder than the temporary pain. It's the thing that to lose something you were so skilled and attached to, something you used daily and then to lose it and have the memories mushed it causes more pain then living normally with an explaination. Now that I have some explaination I can begin to move forward. And to have someone willing to listen and help me means so much to me. Your wings are the only wings I'll ever be able to use again so I best protect them with even more vigor than I normally would my own." She said looking at his black wings, they were something so beautiful in her mind.

Painter sighs and shakes his head, seemingly the only movement her feels like he can make at the moment, "It..hurt so badly though..it was like not only getting the wings ripped out, but my heart ripped out as well..and those people..the-they laughed as they were torturing me, my cries of pain...all of it they just laughed away as if it was some comical experience.." He shivers, suddenly feeling alone and scared, his nightmare replaying in his head like a song on repeat. He closes his eyes again and sits there, with his head resting on his knees.

"Remember that was only a nightmare, I had it done in real life. I know it's rough to see something that is so harsh but everytime I visit that part of my memory it becomes clearer and clearer." She felt her back using her hand reaching as far to her shoulder blades as possible. She felt something odd, it was as if there was a bone or something there before. This made her doubts disappear, she looked down spotting a dead leave her mind ached and she dropped to her knees.

Her head began to throb, she heard footsteps her mind remembered something. "Allie Corellaz, haha you thought you could save your little friends. How about I take your precious wings which you were so fond of when you found they came from your mother Beautrice Corellaz, you truly have so much history it's a shame you won't be able to put it all together till you kill me." The sound of ripping filled the air as well as screaming, no tears fell though. She couldn't collapse she was the only hope for the academy, she bled heavily her wings ripped from her back not completely removed only leaving the socket of the wing in her to create pain every so often. The pain was severe it was the worse kind of pain, she felt weak as blood flowed from her back. She saw her wings now in the hands of her captor, as the captor threw them on the floor and trampled over them. The pain from the wings getting trampled came to her because her wings and her had such a bond. She collasped unconcious from pain and blood loss

Allie's breathing fastened, she put her hands to her face closing her eyes tight. She put her head down, not a tear shedding just trying not to let the pain in her mind make her lose her strength. Her wing sockets ached, as she now knew what the two small bumps near her shoulder blades were her wings' main connection to her body. Her wings most likely were rotted flesh by now, most likely unable to fly even if a painful reconnection was tried. The tiny bumps weren't noticable to the eye but if you pressed the shoulder you could feel them. Pain shot thru her back in rememberance of her wings.

Painter quietly looks at her and frowns when her head drops downwards. He puts his hand gently on her shoulder and gives her an encouraging smile, "I'm sorry about your pain..but there's nothing we can do now but kill the witch and hope by killing her, the wounds will at least heal.." He slowly and shakily rises to his feet, wavering and catching his balance ever few inches. With another deep sigh he closes his eyes and lets the breeze blow through him, surrounding him in a comforting way. With a smile still on his face, he turns to Allie and says, "Well..that expended the last of my physical energy..I'm having to use the wind to support me at this point..." He shakes his head, feeling disappointed in himself.

She shook her head, "Don't be a fool, I'll help you." She said getting up she moved next to him. Offering a shoulder to lean on, that's what she figured friends were for anyway. To lean on when your strength wavers, she smiled lightly glad to have met him and be able to consider him her friend. She wondered if killing the witch really was the answer... She knew that the witch once was killed before so was this witch not really killable?

She stood next to him waiting him to either accept or decline her help. She was unsure if she would be perfectly fine herself because of her flashbacks but she figured for now she'd be fine. She didn't know how it would be in the future.

Paints smiles and graciously accepts her help, his legs collapsing almost immediately beneath him and causing his weight to fall fully on her. His eyes close as his body relaxes and his wings sag down behind him. "Wow..I don't think I've ever been this exhausted in my life...completely incapable of movement..how crappy.." He sighs, trusting her to hold him up and hoping he doesn't do anything to harm her where her wounds are.

"I personally don't like the c word..." She said almost in a whisper, she held him up with all her strength. She began to walk slowly. being careful to not lose her grip and make him fall. She wasn't in too much pain now that she focused her mind on keeping him off the ground, she thought of something suddenly. She could use her wind to fly them to the lounge, but she wasn't sure if she could focus at the moment.

She tried to clear her mind thinking on the breeze, "Walk or fly?" She asked her eyes closed trying to focus away from the pain and hubub in her mind.
