Painter nods and givbes a small chuckle, "Yeah..I'm not the best in the world at controlling my temper either.." he sighs and shakes his head as another breeze blows by, tusseling his hair, "I have so little control over my powers when I'm angry, I end up causing myself pain.." he smiles and sits down on the sandy shores of the lake. "So I take it you can bend the air as well, anything else you can do?"

"Nothing special, pretty much just summon and control wind. It's something I'm content with seeing it's easier for me to use it instead of depend constantly on powers." She said lookin at the lake, it looked so beautiful and peaceful. She couldn't help but remember something, she suddenly felt her shoulder ache with sharp pain again. She forgot what she remembered in the sharpness of the pain.

He glances up, seeing her shift in the corner of her eyes. he bends the air to pop him up into the air and he lands in front of her, "You're in pain..I can tell by the look on your face..maybe you shouldn't be out here.." he says, his voice slowly becoming quieter as he speaks.

She looked at him, "Oh, it's nothing just a little ache you know how they say old wounds never heal." She said with a light chuckle, little did he know she meant a litteral real wound. She felt terrible but she wanted to look at the lake, she needed to do things other than resting. She looked at the wind in the air, feeling the cold harsh breeze. She loved it even though it was so brutally cold.

Painter just laughs and shake his head, "They mean that in a mental sense, not a physical.." he says in a tone just barely loud enough to here by anyone except himself. He closes his eyes as the breeze drifts through his hair and tousles it around. Some people are just to foolish to accept the fact that they're in pain and just ignore it is if it will go away..like silly little children.. he sighs again at the thought as he hears a wave crash against the rock nearby and feels the water hit him on face, jerking his eyes open again and taking him out of his serene looking state.

She looked at the lake, then thought about something... Mermaids, her drowning, she remembered something to that effect. She couldn't put everything together, this made her upset inside. She wanted so much to just let it all go and move on but she felt it was important for her to find out the truth of what happened. She heard hypnotists might be able to dig back into her memories and help her remember. She started to think about it seriously now, she then turned her attention to the boy, "So I take it you like nature?" She asked assuming that because of his serene look before.

Painter frown for a second and furrows his brows in thought, "Hmmm, not like exactly, but I prefer it over suburban areas where everything is all congested and full of nasty stuff.." he chuckles as he remembers playing in the streets as a child and nearly being hit by a car. He glances over at her, "I suppose it's alright though, it's pretty to look at most of the time, and the sounds are almost musical. However, the only downside is being surrounded by nature can be lonely, because most people are never in it and are always too busy to care for it.."

She smiled, "I guess the best thing is a town then, small towns tend to be supersitious. And not understanding of things, so best thing is normal sized town." She thought of her small town, everything she knew about small towns was directed at her and her father. She heard every rumor within a hour and it stayed for weeks because of many heartless people. She sighed thinking about how often she heard rumors of her father and how many times they were true.

Painter frowns again in thought, "Well...not exactly, you see in small towns things are well..unnatural. People at times are a little more odd and most of the time they try to find anything they can to use as news, wether it be true or not..so small towns are not the greatest either.." he chuckles, "I suppose it really doesn't matter the place you live, it's all the people within, or in some cases the lack of people within, that make it truly troublesome.." with that he turns back to look at her, "You should smile or often, it looks better on you.." he says to her, meaning it truthfully, but not in a way as to seem like he's trying to imply something.

She looked down slightly, "I used to... but a lot has happened lately." She also wasn't rich in friends, and seemed less popular. She wouldn't have been here alone with such a solumn face if she was. She moved her hand in her jacket pocket playing with a necklace. She wondered if she'd ever live without thoughts of her past haunting her and never leaving her alone.

She wished it was spring almost since spring made her more happy.
