Renke watched as Ian downed the rest of his soda and wondered why he was drinking it so fast. Swallowing the peice of sandwich in his mouth, he replied.
"Yeah. I've been to a couple of shows."

"The shows I went to were rock, I guess punk, and a couple of emo shows. There were a couple of ska bands at some." He said, then continued. "I think...I went to see Brand New and Streetlight Manifesto was there. They were pretty good." He took another bite of his sandwich.

"The typical emo poser sucks, yes, but the music is good." He replied, after swallowing, "Some of it's happy. Not much, but a few songs. Besides, the lyrics are at least intelligent."

"Whatever." said Ian, "A band that sings about cutting themselves up and putting on tons of makeup doesn't soudn too intelligent to me." said Ian.

Renke finished his sandwich quickly. "That's not true. Some of them do, yes, but most of them don't. Ever listen to Bright Eyes? They're quite the opposite." He said, getting slightly angry at Ian's completely typical opinion.

"Well, then you don't know. They're depressing, but definetly not the 'cut my wrists' type." He said, calming down a bit.
