Things had gone decently, he and Klef had bonded, gotten close, maybe closer than he realized. Either way, the day was with winding down, so he made them dinner, nothing complex but it was good. So they ate, and kept each other's spirits up, made each other smile when they could.

The day went suprisingly ok, or at least better than she expected. She was still miserable as ever, but having someone around helped a bit. It was weird thinking that their escape from the quarantine was just a day ago, time went slower when there was nothing to do.

Dinner was somewhat quiet. Besides touchier subjects like the virus, there was not much left to talk about without after spending most of the day together. It was a bit too quiet for her tastes, it left her alone with her thoughts, making it harder to pretend that nothing has changed. In attempt to liven up the conversation again she decided to make use of her plethora of animal facts. " Did you know that beluga whales use echolocation to figure out where they are?" She asked, using a fork to prod at her untouched food.

" So I was thinking-" Klef paused, placing her fork back down, " what if I could do something like that?" She looked up at James with faintest hint of a smug grin on her face, " I'm probably will to have to go back to school if this blows over... gonna need some way to get around, so like what if I just screamed into the hallways?" Klef joked, before resuming to prod at the food.

Nyota shifted awkwardly at the door, the first time she has even on the doorstop of James new home. It was... a nice place, nicer than what she had back at home thats for sure. She searched for doorbell but settled with just knocking on the door instead. After three firm knocks annoucned on behind the door:

"Hey Dorkface! If your here let me in or I will huff and I will puff and I will blow down your damn house down or something!"

With the attention getter out of the way, she waits for a few minutes to wait for someone to get the door. Otherwise, she would just assume that no one was home or that everyone inside was too sick to get the door. In which case... she was probably just wasting her coming by to check in on her friend James. Maybe she should just give him a phone call or something?

He couldn't help but smile at Klef, "there's probably magic that would let you do that," he said with a small chuckle. Despite the hardships he'd really enjoyed being with her, "you'd be like a superhero," he said with a small grin.

He heard a knock from the door, "Sounds like we have a visitor," the Shadow said calmly, "probably sun girl."

Form a bit of light energy around his hand, he placed it on Klef's shoulder, "I'll be right back." Rising from his seat he quickly moved to the front door, which was close to the dinning room, "I hear you," he said with a small smile as he heard Nyota. He pulled the door open, "good to see you," him and Klef had nearly died.

"Come in," he said ushering his friend in, she'd see a nice, clean home, and of course Klef eating dinner.

Klef playfully rolled her eyes, a superhero was a bit of a stretch. "Of course there... is there's magic for just about everything nowadays," She said as if she was an elderly man in the body of a fourteen year old, still pushing around the food on her plate.

She heard the knocking on the door too, along the yelling. The voice sounded familiar. They didn't talk much, but it belonged to none other than her roommate, Nyota. Geez, it had been awhile since they had even seen each other despite living in the same room. First quarantine, now staying at James' house, it had been almost two weeks since she slept in her own bed.
With a stiff nod to James, she tried to loosen her grip of the fork. Hiding her anxiety about the situation was. So far, the day was good, but forgettable, she wanted to keep it that way. She had cried for hours the day before and didn't want to relapse. Talking to Nyota would mean that she would mean explaining that she went blind. While she was aware that she would eventually have to come to terms with it, today was too soon.

Of course, she could always pretend everything was fine. Fooling everyone else into believing she could still see was not a long term solution, but it could at least work for the evening. Her staying at James' house probably would be enough to catch her off guard anyways. As long as she acted normal everything would be ok.

Klef adjusted her hair to hide her face more than usual, that accompanied by a smile should do the trick, right? She turned to face the source of the all the noise, waving her hand in it's general direction, " ... Hey, long time no see!"

"Ah good to see you too James! Nice to know you haven't died yet considering we have plague going around." greeted Nyota as she walked herself.

Nyota takes the moment to look all around herself, thoroughly impressed by her surroundings. It was much cleaner than she was used to and she felt almost out of place being in such a home.

"Huh... nice place you got here James. You should invite me here more often." commented Nyota as she mosied her way into the kitchen, surprised to see her roommate Kelf with her dinner.

"Oh! Kelf... yeah... long time no see. Haven't seen you in awhile... good to see that you didn't wind up dead though. Have you been hiding here all this time or something?" remarked Nyota as she stands over by Kelf's side, furrowing a brow as she tries to figure out what it was she was eating. The sun girl then shrugged and looked back to her friend James.

"So how much longer are you going to steal my roomate for? Those dishes don't clean themselves you know." dryly inquired Nyota, raising an eyebrow of suspicion to her pal James.
