Klef playfully rolled her eyes, a superhero was a bit of a stretch. "Of course there... is there's magic for just about everything nowadays," She said as if she was an elderly man in the body of a fourteen year old, still pushing around the food on her plate.
She heard the knocking on the door too, along the yelling. The voice sounded familiar. They didn't talk much, but it belonged to none other than her roommate, Nyota. Geez, it had been awhile since they had even seen each other despite living in the same room. First quarantine, now staying at James' house, it had been almost two weeks since she slept in her own bed.
With a stiff nod to James, she tried to loosen her grip of the fork. Hiding her anxiety about the situation was. So far, the day was good, but forgettable, she wanted to keep it that way. She had cried for hours the day before and didn't want to relapse. Talking to Nyota would mean that she would mean explaining that she went blind. While she was aware that she would eventually have to come to terms with it, today was too soon.
Of course, she could always pretend everything was fine. Fooling everyone else into believing she could still see was not a long term solution, but it could at least work for the evening. Her staying at James' house probably would be enough to catch her off guard anyways. As long as she acted normal everything would be ok.
Klef adjusted her hair to hide her face more than usual, that accompanied by a smile should do the trick, right? She turned to face the source of the all the noise, waving her hand in it's general direction, " ... Hey, long time no see!"
