This was always an awkward time for Ai. Finding a table to sit at was always so stressful for the small sheep girl. So many people larger than her and she was just terrible at approaching people. Eventually Ai found a single person at a table and they weren't much bigger than her. Quietly she walked up to them and trying to muster up some courage to talk to them. After a moment Ai finished gathering up her will and she stood next to the person.

"Um... Pardon me. Is.... is it alright if I sit here with you?" Ai put her tray down on the table and began to sit down. All the time she was blushing a little. She really wanted to start eating her herbivore salad. Today had been quite a long day already and there was most of it left. "I'm... I'm Ai by the way. Nice... Nice to meet you."

Azu had had an equally as long a day and was feeling really quite overwhelmed and unsure of herself. With all the elections meeting and get-togethers, quite honestly the non-magical girl was finding being others with awesome powers quite daunting. In fact, she still found it hard to believe that anyone would vote for someone like her - at all. She was so unspecial, so normal, well, not even normal... normal here meant having some kind of power, even if it was only the ability to read minds or talk to animals.

So when a fellow classmate - sort of, Ai was someone who Azu had seen before in one or two of her classes, shyly asked her if she could join her at the table, Azu was more than happy to oblige.

"Hi Ai," Azu said as equally as shyly, moving a little to the side with her lunch consisting mainly of a fruit salad and a bun with butter. Although the table was actually empty and there was plenty of room for Ai to sit wherever she wanted.

"I'm Azu, and I know, we have Math together," Azucena said with a friendly smile.

Upon hearing that they had Math class together and Ai hadn't noticed the small sheep girl grew pale. "We do! I am so sorry! I... well I... I'm never good at math class. Just, all the rules and the exceptions to the rules, it gets so confusing." Ai shuffled for a little before going over to the table and sitting down near Azu. "I... well um... how has your day been going?" Ai honestly didn't know what to talk about, should they talk about anything? The sheep girl was a little confused. She normally didn't talk to very many people.

"I know, Math is so confusing sometimes," Azucena said, a little embarrassed herself for putting Ai on the spot. "My sister, Aranea, always has to help me out. I can never seem to understand the whole X Y thing," she admitted.

Making room for Ai, Azu shrugged, "It's okay, I guess. I was looking at the Lilac Festival sign up thing. It looks like a lot of fun, but, I can't sing or anything," she said as she picked at her food. "How about you?" she asked her classmate, Ai.

Was she asking if Ai could sing?! Ai shook her head blushing this time rather than going pale. "Oh, no definatly not. I... I don't really... well." She stammered she honestly didn't have a reason why. Sure she had a good voice but she'd never really sang anything. "I'm terrified of large crowds. That many eyes on me? I... I couldn't." Ai fidgeted as she began to nibble on the herbivore food on her plate.

Ai did seem to be lost in thought for a moment, Talion had helped her to calm down and be less stressed. But... no, doing something like that... it was almost unthinkable. It would be to much. To many eyes watching her. Then it struck her. "Or... or did you mean how was my day going! Oh by the spirits... It... well it was going okay, now... well I'm super embarrassed..." Ai was blushing more as she covered her eyes with one hand. This was the most she had been embarrassed in a long time.

"I kinda meant both, but that's okay. I'm big time terrified of large crowds too, besides the fact I can't sing or play an instrument or anything." Azucena giggled, thinking Ai was really sweet, cute and kinda funny but in a good way.

"So, what type of salad is that? It looks really good," Azucena asked curiously as she eyed Ai's lunch. She had seen the salads before in the cafeteria, but had never really had a chance to have one before.

Ai's face was crimson as Azu said that they did mean both questions in one. The poor sheep girl was certainly fumbling through this conversation quite spectacularly. She practically buried her face into her hands trying to over come her embarrassment. "I'm failing through this, so badly."

When Azu asked what kind of salad Ai was having, it allowed the sheep girl a chance to recompose herself. "It is an Herbivore plate. I can't have what everyone else has. Being more kinda sheep than human at least in digestion."

Ai honestly didn't know what else to talk about but shrugging she buried her face in her hands again. "Did you sign up for the festival? I guess I should have asked that sooner."

"You aren't failing at this, Ai," Azucena rushed to say, her face going pink too, immediately feeling sort of bad that she had made Ai uncomfortable with her teasing.

"Why don't we start again?" Azucena suggested shyly, not wanting to point out that she had already said she had no musical talent and thus had no reason to sign up to the festival.

"I really like what you are wearing," Azu started. "Did you buy it at the mall?" she asked curiously.

"Starting again sounds... nice..." Ai scrubbed her face as she tried to compose herself again, this was a lot to go through all in a short period of time. Taking a few breaths in and out she nodded and she set herself to try and talk with Azu with less trouble.

When they asked about Ai's clothing she looked down at herself. "Oh... I actually knitted this myself. Wool is very comfy and well... It's a very comforting material. Always found the extra volume of it just feels nice to me..." She shrugged a bit. "I never really thought about it before to be honest."

"Whoa..." Azucena said as she looked at Ai's sweater closely now, admiring the quality of it. "That's really amazing. I would not have ever guessed," she admitted slightly bewildered and definitely amazed. The only person she knew that could do anything similar was her sister, Aranea.

"Was it hard to make?" she asked her curiously, wondering also if maybe she could ask Ai to teach her how to knit.
