Appearance Description: Fair of face, generally tends to take pride in having minimal blemishes. His eyes and hair are both red, and this is pretty standard for people in his family.His skin is fair too, although in the summer sun it tans at a rapid pace. He is normally of average weight overall, whether glamoured or not. When glamoured, he stands at about a height of 6’2”, and when he is not his figure is a mere 3.75 inches. He tends to wear, at bare minimum, business casual clothes, but occasionally he is caught working on his projects in a rucksack pair of pants. Without his glamour cast, a pair of strong silk wings lay against his back for easy use. He ALWAYS wears gloves for safety reasons. His default expression is a face of flat affect.
Personality Description: Hard work and long nights are two of Cedric’s most dear friends, though he would never be one to tell you that. A natural talent, he uses every waking second to make his hands busy. Unfortunately, his abilities in his work and his ability to have leisure are… inversely correlated, and this tends to give him the appearance of a stick-in-the-mud. Perhaps, with the right friendship, he might be able to spend some time unwinding, but for now his work remains ever pertinent.
Species Abilities:
-Fae Glamour: the ability to change appearance. Cedric’s glamour extends only to himself, but it allows him the ability to essentially shift his height and thus get to class a heck of a lot faster. The effects can easily be knocked out through iron burns or pain, and when he is under extreme stress.
-Flight: As a winged fae he can fly. With his height shift his wings don't show.
-Enhanced connection with the planet: being as his particular species is found in forests and deserts, Cedric is hyperaware of plants and animals and has a limited communicative ability with them.
-Limited Empathic Sense: Should probably note that this can be very bad with Cedric’s tendency to secretly take things personally. This can play into his psychometry, with not only the powers of looking back into the past in effect but the emotions attached to those objects or people as well.
-Iron Weakness: Like most fae, cold iron burns Cedric.
-Shiny Object Distraction: Cedric’s kind are fond of shiny objects, particularly colored glass and gemstones.

-Psychometry: Although empathy abilities are common among fae, Cedric’s ability to sense emotional energy extends past people and into the realm of nonliving things as well. It is usually activated by touch, which is why Cedric is so adamant about keeping his gloves on. The general weakness to this ability is more in Cedric’s aversion to too much stimulus- he knows when he has seen too much. Since his empathic sense is a factor, the emotions at play can hurt him badly. In terms of how far he can look back, it is dependent upon when the material was made to look like it currently is (I.e. If he is reading a gold ring he would not be able to trace beyond when the material was made into the current version). Additionally, when it is a relic or a well-known artifact or an object with high sentimental value (I.e. The Ark of the Covenant, just as a crazy example) the emotions from those who regard it highly muddies his ability to trace it without causing psychic harm. In a general sense, though, he tends to only look back as far as a generation or two for heirlooms, but the ability is vivid enough to have him recall broken phrases around the requested timeframe.
-Pyrokinesis: Cedric’s family has been known to be a little heated… literally. To say Cedric can control fire is a bit too generous, since his grumpy temper can get out of hand, so we will say he can PRODUCE fire. The blaze can get hot enough to meld things together. It usually comes from his hands, but it has been known to come from the stomping of his feet as well. His fire can be easily downed with water.
Biography: Cedric was born and raised in Salt Lake Provo, Utah. For as long as he can remember he has remained unaging, and he hadn't the foggiest idea why. Sure, his family was meant to live far longer than the average mortal, but at his appearance he should have been half his age.
Unfortunately, as he grew older he realized that it was just the way things had to be. Fae genes were mercurial, to say the least.
He has an ongoing fascination with building houses as a hobby, although these houses were only really the perfect size for his kind.
Cedric started attending school due to the threat his family and their community are facing, namely the deforestation and removal of their living grounds. He plans to make a change to assist not only the family that needs him, but the thousands of working supernatural entities that need accommodations in the waking world.
