Name: Cedar Garrett
Age: 15, mental age 13, appears fully-matured
Birthday: August 10
Gender: Female
Species: Cyborg/Robot (human brain, the rest mechanical)
Category: Student
Class: High School
Grade: 9

Appearance Description:
Cedar is comparable to any other woman in height and build, as was the goal when she was built. Her body is covered in metallic “skin” that covers her inner-workings, with chinks at the joints. The robotic “skin” is a light silver and her eyes bright blue. Though she could’ve had synthetic hair, everything she tried besides baldness looked, in Cedar’s words, “really weird.” She usually applies some makeup to give herself a more feminine look.

Personality Description: In an effort to keep herself more human, Cedar has developed an outgoing, friendly personality. Before her accident, she was reserved and direct, but she knew that persona fit all too well with a robot’s body. Those who knew Cedar before and after would say that she became a completely different person, which is exactly what she was trying to avoid. She can come across as lazy or slow, because of the two years she lost in education and the prospect of her newfound immortality.

Species Abilities:
  • Immortality- In theory, if nothing directly damages her living brain and she doesn’t run out of battery for longer than her emergency generator lasts, Cedar can’t die.
  • Separation- Most of her body parts, including arms, legs, and ears, can disconnect and still function independently.
  • Water Sensitivity- Though Cedar was created specifically not to die from contact with water, it does cause her to short-circuit until dry.
  • Reliance on Batteries- Cedar can go three or four days without charging, but she normally charges every night. It’s essential, however, that she not completely run out of batteries, because her brain is kept alive through the workings of the robotic body.

Powers:
  • Enhanced Senses- Given that she would be missing two senses (taste and smell), and an altered sense of touch, the good doctor made sure her hearing and sight would be far beyond the human level. She can hear a variety of pitches and volumes that cannot be heard or would cause damage to the inner ear; Cedar’s vision is the humanly impossible 20/5.
  • (Potential for Added Powers)
Biography:
Cedar’s life before her accident is largely irrelevant; she was the only child of her two well-off parents.
One day, as she was out for a walk, she was struck and crushed by an eighteen-wheeler, which fled the scene. Her father was told that Cedar was beyond repair, but he insisted she stay on life support until he could find a solution.
That’s where Dr. Henry Sadanna, known for his knowledge in technology and biology, came in. He determined that only her brain would be able to function independently, but he was confident in an idea he’d had for quite some time. The Garretts paid hundreds of millions to him to construct a body for their daughter to live in infinitely.
Two years later, Cedar woke up in Dr. Sadanna’s lab. He explained to her the basics of her new life, but all she could think about was what she couldn’t do anymore, and she had to live that way forever. At times, Cedar wished her father would’ve let her go.
She’s now attending Starlight Academy, and though she missed two years of schooling, she knew she already looked older than the other girls. She enrolled as a freshman as a happy-medium.
