Private Cats and Vampires

It did not take long for the rumors to trickle down to Aedes. They had seen the signs herself and though Shiro hadn't proclaimed the news, it was obvious to her what was up with Shiro. In some ways, she was flattered that Shiro so much wanted to be like her that she allowed themself to become a creature of the night. On the other, it annoyed her that

"Yeah you could say that." responded Aedes whom looks at Shiro leerily "I couldn't help but overhear that your going vamp. I mean, its pretty obvious at this point with new look... taking on the nightlife. So... what? Not content with being a bloodbag anymore and wanted to find out what its like to be real bloodsucker?"

"Oh but it part of of my business... your sort of cramping my style." groaned Aedes, but then gives Shiro sympathetic look "I mean, I get it... your so enambered with me you couldn't help but try to copy but it just makes you look like big time wannabe poser."

Aedes then lets out a sigh and starts to walk up ahead of Shiro, making it look like she is about to walk. Yet, before she left Shiro in her dust, she slowed her pace to make a calculated jab to get this kitty to singing like canary for her.

"You don't have to tell me anything... I already figured you out. Unless you beg to differ.... copycat."

There was a brief moment of anger on Aedes face, especially at the looking like a 10 year old remark. But it quickly faded away as Aedes bursts out in laugher.

"Ha ha haa ha! Jealous!? Hardly" dismissed Aedes, budging not an inch as Shiro stepped forward. "I am suppose to be jealous of you? Why? Should I be jealous of how you expose yourself like a desperate whore? Craving so desperately for affection... for love that you will like just about anyone abuse and use you?"

Aedes gives Shiro a fanged smile, growing taller as they seamlessly transition to their true demonic form. Where Shiro had once looked down Aedes, it was now Aedes whom looked down on her.

"Jealous of your parlor tricks? They are a dime a dozen around here. Jealous of ability to alter your appearance? Well unlike I am quite happy with my looks and very much the real deal... unlike you who is so uncomfortable in the skin they are born with. I bet that ass that your so proud of is just as fake as you." spoke down Aedes as they degrade Shiro, leaning forward til they are nearly nose to nose.

"So remind me... why exactly should I be jealous of the sad piece of garbage like you? Hrmmm!?" demanded Aedes as they go to poke Shiro in the collarbone with a pointed finger.

"Well look at you now... showing off how ugly are!" hissed Aedes, her wings beating to a high pitched whine as she raises a head higher of Shiro "You-"

Before Aedes could finish her sentence, the sound of an adult sent a shiver down her spine. When Aedes turned to look at Edwin, there was an 'oh shit' look on her face. As compromising of position that Aedes put themselves in, they thought there was still a chance to weasel out of this predicament.

"Oh hey! Sorry did we cause a ruckus?" spoke Aedes, feigning innocence as they revert to their humanoid form "Nothing is going on here. Just me and my girl buddy having a little verbal spat. You know us young girls and our silly dumb arguments but its okay... were were just making up."

Aedes then tries to wrap an arm around Shiro and pull them both hip to hip in an attempt to sell the act that they were friends.

"Isn't that right Shrio? This all a silly little thing for the both of us to get in trouble for... right?" mused Aedes, acting uncharacteristically friendly to Shiro all of sudden and even the cat shifter a warm smile.

Yet not even Aedes could hide the daggers behind her eyes, dangers that point threateningly to Shiro. Even without saying a word Aedes' message was clear: play along or go down in the ship with her.
