Katarina was as comfortable in her feline form as she was in her human form, perhaps even more so. The change came easily to her. Slipping out of her door, she let it take her, feeling only a few tingles as her form shrunk down to size and fur grew over skin. Her blue eyes blinked a few times before her vision became crystal clear once more. One of the best things about her cat form? She didn't have to talk to anyone. It wasn't that conversation wasn't something she liked, but mostly it just bored her.

Padding across campus to the courtyard, Kat found an unoccupied bench and hopped up onto it. The sun warmed her black fur as she curled up comfortably. Cats slept a lot, and Kat was no exception. She took her naps whenever she could find them. Her chest vibrated gently with her soft purrs as she shut her eyes, the tip of her tail twitching a little while she waited for sleep to take her.

Noah was on his way to buy food, proper food, with vegetables, potatoes and meat. In contrast to how he acquired food when he thought himself a dog. An unusual dog tho, who gathered food with a pack of wild dogs, in the dumpsters or trashcans outside restaurant and what not. Since old man Wolfe found him, he had learnt so much and could be considered almost normal... Aside from his horns, his hound form and occasional bestial behavior... Alright so maybe he wasn't so normal after all, though he had learn'ed what normal humans common sense was, he would just not always agree with it.

On the way to the store, he always had a residual urge to move towards their sides, but he did manage to turn and walk in through the front door. Old man Wolfe had told him that the green stuff was vegetables and important for a strong body, he picked up a random piece of meat and a random amount of potatoes. He even got so far as to line up to pay for it all but then he spotted a cat. He forgot the things he was going to buy, left them as he bolted out of the store, turned inte hiss Hellhound/Rottweiler form and ran after that cat.

This was so peaceful. The sun warmed her jet black fur in a pleasant way. It was nice here, on the island. She pretty much did as she pleased, especially in the summer when there were no classes to be had. Her life was so...good.

Her ears twitched lightly and she her eyes opened into slits. Funny. Something inside of her feline body stirred as she picked up a scent and saw something coming towards her. Opening up her eyes all the way, she took in the vision of a dog. Ugh, dogs. It wasn't that she hated them, but she found them to be...slobbering, and stupid.

Crap. This dog was making a b-line for her. Jumping to her feet, Kat arched her back, her fur standing on end as she hissed, hoping that would be enough to turn it away. Nope. Letting her instincts kick in, Kat bolted from her spot on the bench and sought shelter in a nearby tree, getting herself off the ground. Dogs were fast. She might have been fast too, but she knew that dogs couldn't climb very well. Perching on a branch several feet off the ground, Kat continued to hiss at her pursuer, cursing him for interrupting her nap.

In his current form he was like a demon dog, well he is after all part Hellhound. With small spikes protruding along his spine and black horns spiraling around his ears. Massive muscles, paws and builds, which is a combination from both his Hellhound part and his Shifter part. His Shifter parts also contribute with a general Rottweiler fur and build.

In any form his eyes stay the same, mottled as they are, silver blue with green lines and brown dots. Staring up the tree, trying to keep his eyes on the cat. Standing on two legs, leaning towards the tree with his front paws, pushing it into a rocking motion, possible only because of his strength.

Kat dug her claws into the branch of the tree to keep herself from falling out of it as the dog pushed at it with incredible strength. From the way this dog looked, it was probably a shifter. It certainly didn't look like any dog she'd seen before, but mostly, dogs were all the same to her, even this hellish-looking one. They were all stupid mutts.

Feeling the familiar tingling sensation, Kat took her mostly-human form. The only thing that remained were a pair of sleek black ears and a matching tail, resized appropriately so they didn't look as out of place as they already probably did. She sat on the branch and pulled off her shoe, throwing it with all the force she could at the dog, aiming straight for its big, stupid head. "Fuck off, you slobbering, pea-brained mutt! I'll chop you up and serve you to the Chinese, you worthless piece of shit!" she yelled down at it, taking off her other shoe and readying it in her hand. She was glad she'd worn her boots today. They were heavier than regular shoes, which meant they hit harder. Her arm swung back as she took aim and got ready to throw the other one.

It hit him, he stopped, froze even. He had a sudden realization, his instinct had taken over once more. Glancing around him to see if anyone reacted to the scenario. Sure, old man Wolfe had thought him to adapt to human standards but he was far from "tamed" and like this time, his instincts would take over from time to time. Then, just a second after he stopped, it suddenly hit him, this time a shoe instead of thoughts.

The boot agitated his instincts, at first he backed away after the punch the boot had packed but he soon resumed his position. This time he did however really stretch, trying to get as close as possible to the cat..He looked, turned his head at the leg, and slowly looked up until he reached the hand that held the other boot.

He backed away into a fence and changed back to his other self, sitting on the ground and starring at the boot. With the other boot still hanging on one of his horns, which, like the eyes, stayed in both forms, though big in his hound form they where only the size of a headset in this form.

He was back to his senses though he had not listened the word mutt echoed distant in his mind and with the boot held high.. Well it evoked a memory of his prior life, where he was pinned in an alley with a wall behind him and on his sides, though at this moment there wasn't walls on his sides, his memory provided him with imaginary walls as well as a man of the pound with a high held weapon.

Noah was frozen once more.

Kat stared at him with the threat of the other boot sailing through the air bright in her eyes. She narrowed her gaze and watched as he backed away from the base of the tree and changed. As she'd thought, another shifter. Anthromorph? He'd kept the horns. Maybe it was some kind of demon.

She stared him down before slowly lowering the boot and putting it back on her foot. She jumped down from her spot of safety, brushing off the back of her jeans. "You done?" she demanded grumpily, checking herself for injuries. She was unharmed, not a single blonde hair on her head had been touched, but she couldn't resist the need to make sure.

"What was all that for, anyways? Your dumb animal instincts kick in or something?" She held out her hand, silently demanding the other boot be returned to her. There was no way she was walking away without it.

That was it exactly, his animal instinct took over. Instincts where there to enhance suitability and that was never dumb "Yes, my dumb instincts took over.." her voice brought him back to realty. He was much more interested in her, he had never before seen a two legged who can become an animal, well aside from himself and to him that was interesting.

By pushing his hands on the real wall behind him he was able to stand up fairly quick and though he wanted to greet her he opted to not walk around sniffing her butt, but instead trying the proper way that old man Wolfe had shown. There where several forms of greetings and touching in the two legged world and he chose the simplest. He reached out his hand and said "My name is Noah".

She looked him over with more consideration this time, and he seemed to be looking at her with almost the same curiosity and caution. Kat stared at his hand silently, obviously not wanting to take it, then pointed to the boot that was still hanging off of his...horn. What kind of dog had horns, anyway? It didn't make him any less of a dog, though, not to her.

"Katarina. Charmed. My shoe," she demanded, she supposed that the gesture of holding her hand out for it wasn't enough to get through to this pea-brained animal. She wasn't entirely kidding when she'd threatened him from her perch in the tree. Now that he'd stopped threatening her, though, she was starting to smooth out her ruffled emotions. "What's the big idea, anyway? I wasn't bothering you, I was just sitting there."

He looked at her, then back to his hand, at her and back o his hand. Had he done it wrong? Was it not proper, had he offended, aside from the charging her up the tree? He did feel heavy on the one side, actually he had been ever since he had left the tree, though he had thought he had hit his head. It wasn't she asked him about the shoe that it dawned on him that it was hanging on his horn.

Wasn't it obvious by now, she even guessed it and he had confirmed it, though it was possible that she hadn't heard him the first time "My instincts took over, I am working on it, OK?". He removed the shoe from his horn and with a shine in his eyes he thought about throwing it at her, because that would be fair, right? At the same time he didn't want to be chased up a tree because if he got to throw the shoe on her then to be completely fair she would be free to chase him and he did not want to run from a cat.. His final decision, he gave the shoe back, like a civilized person.
