<div align=center> The night was thick about the succubus as she sat in the lotus position upon the mossy ground of a clearing within the Forbidden Forest, so far it had not lived up to her expectations, there were dangerous creatures here to be sure but she had not yet encountered one she could not handle. The thick trees and the scent of the night winds carried the sweet smell of nature wafting about her.

Much of the night she had already spent in deep meditation, buried within the core of her own energies, that flickering dance of chaos that existed deep within her very soul. Creatures born of the darkness, beings that were normally found only in the nightmares of children had gathered about her, drawn initially by the sweet scent of fresh flesh, but in her altered state those nightmare beings laid down in a circle surrounding the demoness, held at bay by the chaotic energy deep within her, yet wanting to approach and feast on her flesh.

Finally her eyes opened, her self induced trance coming to its natural conclusion and the succubus spread her wings as she rose to her feet, a wave of chaotic energy spreading outwards disoriented the gathered creatures, and the Succubus vanished from among them.

In truth she went nowhere, her mind had reached out to the dangerous creatures and enshrouded their senses with the impression that she had vanished, but she instead simply walked out from the encircling creatures, slipping between the clamoring press of vicious monsters, beasts that fell upon one another as she left them behind her, tearing each other to shreds in her wake.

But such was the nature of a succubus, be it man or beast those about her sought to use her for their own ends, whether they wished to sleep with her or eat her they would fall all over one another to seek her approval or to sink their teeth into her! She would always leave a wake of chaos behind her, families torn apart and broken hearts, beasts fighting one another just for a single taste!

Noiselessly she slipped through the forest like a wraith, her bare feet passing over leaves without a single crunch, flickers of dark energy passed silently over her flesh, rising from exposed skin and sinking in once again as the energy she had built up during her meditation sought to discharge itself, she had filled herself up far beyond her capacity after all!

Without warning though the succubus fell to her knees as her energies fled her body with a sudden rush, her lips parted and a scream of panic filled the air as she clutched at her head, her body rippled and shook as her abilities ran rampant within her in the void left behind by her energy!

If anyone heard the pained shriek and were drawn to her they would find a girl lying crumpled on the floor of the forest, a pair of denim shorts hugging her hips and covering little more than her pelvis, a black tube top shrouded her diminutive chest from prying eyes but that left a vast expanse of exposed skin, but not a scratch could be seen on her skin, something odd considering the number of bushes she must have passed through to get here!

Her brilliant crimson hair, had she been standing would have fallen clear to the back of her knees, but laying upon the ground it spilled about her like a pool of blood, at five feet in height the demoness was not the most impressive of figures, but there was one saving grace had any hunter of the supernatural stumbled across her, her wings and her tail had drawn into her body and her skin had reverted to its more 'natural' sunkissed human tone.

But as darkness swum across her vision Naamah's final, almost subconscious note was the sound of chanting coming from somewhere close by. </div>

Aurum was with in the holds, the foliage of the Forbidden forest, his eyes closed remember those he had lost in the service of his lords, His master and his God Emperor. He had his Glaive, which had been blunted and covered in a wax over the bladed top leaning against a tree not too far from his location, he was wearing what looked like the be a guile suit as well as a kind of Toga around a portion of his body depicting a great victory he had.

He looked up to a small shrine. Almost human in nature. Created by him to try to give his team the ritual they never got. They wanted, but he never was around for. Years of Training, friendship, trust down the drain. He closed his eyes once more.

He made an Aquila with his hands over lapping his hands at the thumbs and holding them close to his chest. Remembering only the Chant of Absolution.

He began to speak.

Praise the Emperor for his sacrifice,
as He endures so shall we.
We who are Hunters of Daemons,
shall strive in his name eternally.

He kept going with the chant, slowly feeling the energies of his fallen comrades with in his mind, though he felt something a miss in this area. Paying it not mind he kept on chanting word after word. Phrase after phrase with out ever the book. Though early he could sense the souls of his squad being laid to rest as if it was on Titan itself.

He did falter in his quest. He never did. Though something changed, going back in time, dealing with another civilization that enjoys the presence of Daemons, Filth and Xenos wasn't on Aurums top list, but he was happy someone opened a hand and not a gun on him.

Recalling the events that transpired Aurum shut down a portion of his brain. The Bionic eye whirring to life bring being off to turning on. He then was about to finish the CoA.

Et Imperator Invocato Di-

He heard many beasts roar, and almost go primal with in the area as he stood up, the 7 foot tall character almost flawlessly grabbed onto the weapon and strapped a small pistol to his arm in an almost fluid motion as his Bionic eye scanned the area. He was sensing a dark presence that just.. Disappeared with a scream of what seemed to be pain and agony to him.

He knew it all too well.

He moved through the bushes at a brisk pace, feeling the bushes and branches did not stop the Seven foot tall Super Soldier of the Future. He kept going, his Aegis still strong as ever, He had learned to use it at all times, though the most powerful daemons caused him to have to keep it held.

He saw a girl laying on the ground, with no traces besides the ones he just left there. Seeing something come out of the bush he took a shot at the ground. Listening to the beast yelp and run as he slowly walked to the girl and dropped to his knee. She was.. Human.

Though something was familiar about her. Something... Foul. She? Of all things?

Aurum examined for any wounds while putting a finger on her neck, she did have a pulse, but something was off. It was a long time since he smelt the Daemonic Taint, but this was different. It wasn't as chaotic, it was not one of the Primal Chaos Gods. None of their Blood craving, bile spewing, mind afflicting and grotesque creatures.

He placed his prized Relic, one of the only ones around the girl, exposing her hair and head, but tying her hands together, then picked her up and moved her somewhere else. Sat her down by a tree at the riverbed in the forest and with his glaive planted into the ground he awaited for the girl to awaken.

If she did. She would see a man with a blue light for one of his eyes staring down at her. A man who looks like he's been body building since he was a baby. This Thousand year old Super soldier.

The sweet embrace of darkness that held Naamah in its clutches was slow to fade, even as a painful burning sensation filled her chest she remained unconscious and unresponsive, even as the powerful male lifted her from the ground and carried her to only he knew where! But the demoness stirred slowly, her head pounding and her energies slow to return, she could already feel the need to feed burning within her body.

But the moment her slitted violet eyes fluttered open she knew something else was definitely wrong! She felt a pain about her wrists and quickly she checked, noting that she was bound she tried to break the bonds that held her, but something was still impeding her, her strength and her control still had yet to return.

As her eyes lifted from her bound wrists the demoness felt her head swim with dizziness, a disorientation that she simply could not shake and she slipped to her side with a quick 'whuf' as her breath escaped her before struggling back to a sitting position.

Slowly she lifted her head and Naamah recoiled slightly as her eyes fell upon the powerful man before her, the glowing blue light that seemed to have replaced one of his eyes spoke to modifications of his body, but the succubus, hungry as she was was more interested in the muscular, powerful nature of the man.

"Ugh, my head... Is this how you meet girls hrrm Blue?"

A small, wry smile spread upon her lips and she tried to rise to her feet, using the tree behind her to help prop herself up so she wouldn't fall from the disorientation that still screamed through her head, another pain pounded deep in her chest, every beat of her heart seemed to drive it through her and all she wanted to do was whimper, there was something... Wrong about him, something unnatural!

Rather rich coming from a demon perhaps, but she was used to the essence of the mortals around her, and now that Naamah had come to Manta Carlos she had experienced many different essences from many different beings with different powers!

"So what happens now Blue? Am I ransom or do you have any other plans?"

The demoness was trying to get the powerful man talking, if she could engage him in conversation then perhaps she could get a bit more of her faculties together, as it was if he intended her harm there was no way she was going to be able to fight back, but if she could get her head together then perhaps she would have a better chance of getting out of this unscathed.

Steady eyes carefully watched the powerful man, even as she spoke with him, she felt as though she were a tightly wound cat, the smallest movement was sure to make her jump, but in her current state Naamah knew the smallest jump was going to make her fall flat on her face!

This girl had come to. Aurums eyes looked at her covered with in his personal Relic of his victory against a greater daemon. He then inspected the girl a little more. Realizing that Daemons in this realm must be.. Less powerful?

He shook his head, the blue lighting moving left and right, the lighting brightened a bit, showing a masculine face, who a portion of his face is replaced by metal. As if that whole portion of his face vanished and was replaced in time. In which it was.

"Hold your tongue. So long as I hold my power in place, you are powerless. It seems that the speed your powers has been lost at, as well as the time it is taking for you to gain it back, you are not powerful enough to resist me yet."

His knowledge in Demonology was vast, but some was left to winds scattered to parchments as well as dust. She then spoke once more, he leaned in closer, showing his look of almost utter disgust with the demon who sat before him, no matter how much of a human she looked. Aurum knew the taint. The Stench. He had been in old Barracks that smelt of well, to put it lightly loneliness and shame.

Mixing with the slight taint which to Aurum smelt a lot of like fire and brimstone, he's used to follow daemons and demons alike. He can figure out some scents, no matter how hard you try, you cannot fool a Marine.

"I care not for your jests. I have no need for you, nor any need for what you bring. You bring nothing but death and decay. You vile creature of the Damned. Were it up to me, I should slay you. Tell me. To who do you serve." He moved away with his Glaive in hand and then looked over his shoulder with his human face.

He wanted to know who was running the Demon world, what was going on, if the dark gods existed, or if this was different and Demons lead a different life style, yet still managed to try and bring havoc into the Material Realm. Angels were different. Aurum was part of the Angels of Death. A Chapter devoted to protecting humanity.

Aurora would scold the Warp out of Aurum. Though this girl wasn't in full use of her powers, Aurum's Aegis was constantly eating at her from the inside, her powers returning at a diminished rate, but the constant feeling of being on fire inside her body, not being hot, but a slight pain here and there was lingering around with this girl.

Should she answer with the answer Aurum wishes to hear, she would be executed on the spot, zero chance of anymore coming to find her, though if the name or names were different. Aurum cannot bring himself to harm a small human. Even if a demon. Maybe she could help him out with becoming more... Open minded. Find something to calm him down and find a way to make peace here instead of fight.

"Tick. Tock." Aurum said with a grin on his own face.

<div align=center>Paladin, that impression, and the sensation of discomfort that continued shifting within her body gave her that impression, never had she actually met a holy warrior of the church, but the one who had trained her, the one who had fathered her and taught her all she knew had spoken about them at length. She had never mentioned that Paladins had cybernetic implants though!

"Hrmph, you don't know as much as you think you do it seems, I don't have any desire to hurt people, or to cause decay Blue, I love life and mortal beings too"

The question about who she served though made her recoil a little again and finally she reached her full height, at five feet flat however that was not exactly imposing, the Succubus seemed truly shocked by the implication that she served another being and her eyes opened wide, her eyebrows rocketing up for her hairline.

"You are kidding aren't you Blue? Who do I serve? What do you think demons are?"

Naamah pushed herself off the tree, her smile broadening for a moment in triumph before trying to brace herself upright, but the succubus tripped and her head swum in disorientation again, a step, a second, and then she was face down on the ground again. The demoness rolled onto her back and looked up at the sky before offering a string of curses that would have made the most hardened sailor blush!

"You think you could ease up on things a little Blue, I'd rather not be face down on the ground if we're going to have a lengthy conversation."

But the demoness was not done yet dealing with holy people, be they the simple, everyday clergy of churches or holy paladins that fought against her kind on a day to day basis they weren't the kind to listen to what she had to say, truth be told she was expecting any moment to find her life ending at the powerful mans hands.

"But I suppose you want a real answer hrrrm? I am a demon, a succubus if you must know Blue, my father is Lily, a Succubus like myself, we serve ourselves and our own self interests, sure there are a bunch of idiots down below that want to rule over other demons, but we want nothing more than freedom Blue, the right to do as we please without anyone ruling over us, do you think that's so much to ask?"

Whether he accepted her words or not, whether he remained aggressive and wanting to kill her or whether he thought of her a little more kindly after her explanation she began to work her way back towards the tree, attempting to ascend it again so she could stand once more before the powerful man who had so easily rendered her unconscious.

Whatever else he thought about her, there was something that was doubtless laudable about her determination, even faced by someone so clearly in charge the Succubus was unafraid of the powerful man, she displayed no sign of anger, even at being restrained, in pain and powerless the demoness was facing the warrior with an unshakable confidence.

If he were to end her life she would meet her end with a grin!

"So what now Blue? You going to kill me before I can turn completely evil and start trying to kill every living thing or will you untie me and let me go?"</div>

Aurum watched the girl get to her feat, explaining everything. This meant a lot of information was either being true or false, that demons don't have a true ruler, as for chaos which had 4 who were at a constant war. He shook his head trying to get his head around the idea of what she was saying.

She said that Aurum didn't know as much as he thought he did. Maybe so. It was something he needed to work on for this Era. Times time that he was stuck in. With almost no way back. He felt variations of the energies he used to deal with on an almost daily basis, though this was very different. In general, he didn't know what to do. It was odd his powers still worked.

"I do not comprehend this."

He said to her, turning his full body to her as hew as trying to figure it all out, someone like her could tell him everything he needed to know, no more laws to follow, he was free. He rubbed his one human eye, the bionic eye tracing the girl. She was with in the confines of his item so she wasn't so... Exposed. She asked who he was kidding, he wasn't phased by it and kept his course.

He didn't respond and watched her fall to the ground, as she turned to face the sky. Spelling what he thought was a sea of curses and began to chant under his breath for divine protection.

"Answer me, and I shall see. Till then, you are in no place to spout such jests."

Had he a Tesseract Labyrinth he could hold the demon with in and just keep her there. Not worrying about anything but he did not. Though her next set of words. That she was a succubus, her dad was a succubus. This cause Aurum to get slightly annoyed. He cared not for everything about some Succubus. It wasn't anything special. They died the same way. To Aurums blade, but then something cause Aurum to become curious.

She wanted to live free? Just responding to her own whims and dealing with what ever was put in front of her? It was an interesting sentiment, but no one ruling over demons left a mark on Aurum's mind, something wasn't right for that. Though he could tell that she was telling the truth, he had hoped.

He was debating on untying her, but she didn't look afraid, she was going to accept almost anything Aurum brought onto her either by his Glaive or by the pistol that was mounted onto his arm with a trigger in his hand that he can hit with a button.

It was his nature to kill those who wished for anything demonic in the world.

He grabbed her and stood her upright, he grabbed her by the left arm, and spun her around. The sound of an almost Electricity cracking was heard from behind as a small book chained around his waist began to glow and his glaive began to come to life almost, it's silver tip now stained in a blue light as lifted it into the air, his now human eye had a blue ting and flame to it as readied a strike.

"Forgive me. Lady Aurora."

He said. Bringing the blade down.

A loud smash as well as a small shock wave knocking stones and leaves into the air, leaving Aurum and this Succubus with no marks or wounds. The blade went back to the silver, and he shoved the blade into the ground and then the Succubus's hands were free.

<div align=center>In that moment she was certain her life would end, in that moment she knew she would see for the first time in her life the flames of her 'fathers' home, she knew she would have to find some way to claw her way back to the Earth if she ever managed to return at all, and for just a moment her facade cracked as the man prepared his strike, fear crossed her fine features and her eyes closed.

But then the pressure around her wrists faded, the Succubus opened a single eye, just a crack as she looked down at her hands in surprise before looking up at the man she thought to be a paladin, this close the pain that burned within her surged, but she had expected much worse!

She recoiled, falling to her hands and knees in an attempt to get away from the powerful man once again, while she might have been a demon, while before his assault she might have looked composed and in control there was a moment of true, human vulnerability and surprise on her face.

"What... Why?"

It was all she could manage for the moment as she tried to put a little distance again between herself and the warrior who had chosen to set her free. But she was alive! And how alive she felt! It had been a rush, knowing her life was a hairs breadth from being ended and the Succubus felt a new flood of strength flow through her, for just a moment all burning within her body ceased as new energy and a surge of adrenaline screamed through her system, she even managed to pull herself to her feet and stand unassisted, albeit unsteadily before the warrior.

"So... I take it you're not going to kill me today Blue?"

Her breath was coming quickly and she was poised to run if he made an aggressive move towards her, but if he had truly wanted to hurt her he could have done so much more easily while she had been restrained! It seemed she had some reason to hope that she wasn't going to die just yet!

But as the adrenaline began to fade, dissipating into her system once more the pain from the mans presence began to return, the fear for her life was slowly diminishing and her power was diminishing with it! She was growing less and less confident again, but her curiosity was replacing it, despite the danger, despite the threat of physical violence she had much she wanted to know, much that it seemed only the man before her could answer!

"Tell me, why did you want to know who I served? Who did you think I served? What are you and how did you suppress my power?"

She was full of curiosity, and now that the threat to her life seemed to have diminished a little there was an almost innocent expression on her fine features! Wide eyed and curious, wanting to know all she could discover about the world about her, and about her own nature and powers!

"I should confess, I don't know anything about what's going on below, I only know my 'father' and myself, I've never met any demons other than us and I know only a very little about my abilities, if there is something specific you want to know then tell me what it is and I'll try and find out, but if you don't want to associate with a demon then I'll leave you to your... whatever you were doing in a dark, forbidding forest by yourself"

It seemed without some imminent threat to her life curiosity tended to override caution and now she was faced, not with a threat, but with a source of invaluable information! If she could learn to overpower or work around whatever he was using to hold her powers at bay, if she could learn to hold onto her abilities even in the face of someone who seemed able to strip them away from her at will then she would be much more able to combat similar situations in the future!

After all, if there was one man who could seal her powers there would doubtless be others, if not on this island then out in the world beyond the Academy!</div>

He watched her stumble, her human features coming into true light as he looked, his blue eyes died to one single bionic eye, and that was dimmed to hide his features in the dark forest as he shoved the Glaive's blade into the ground beside him and took off the pistol latched to his arm and tossed it beside. The leaves on the ground still moving in the air from his strike. Though for that moment the Aegis had ended. He realized that she was in no combat capabilities or she would have ran again. She would feel her powers returning to her. Albeit slow, but enough to allow her to stand up right and move around.

He had taken a step closer when she asked the question. With no response, he wasn't going to explain his actions.

He took a moment to look around the area, just to be sure that nothing was going to be an issue. Good. No one around but the wind.

"No. I will not kill you. You are still human. Although you are tainted."

He made a promise to someone with in the confines of the school not to injure Demons or anything that did not harm him, he didn't. It was luck that made this occurance happen. It was dumb sheer stupid luck. He palmed his book at his side, although he wasn't in his armor. He was still happy to have gotten it out.

"I am not of this time. Which is why I required to speak with a demon, to find out if this land is safe from the taint of Evil beings who rule the minds of the weak. You gave me the information I wanted."

He said putting his hand out for the long sheet with a cut in it that was wrapped around her. she wasn't feeling a burning or anything now. He had no psyker powers on at all. He was still a strong willed man with out. He didn't need powers to halt invasions into his mind.

"I am not of this time. That is all I will say for now. I am from the power. I am a... Mage of sorts. Only my powers are with mind and my weapons."

He said. He wasn't going to explain about his Order, the order that did no exist anymore. He was somewhere else entirely so the name would be nothing except a memory. Nothing special and nothing besides dust in the wind.

"I see. You truly know nothing. Figures. I cannot take your word on your lord, though he would have talked to you by now. Or given you commands. I can only assume the Lords of chaos do not exist here. So long as you do not harm me, I care not where you keep yourself, follow me, do as you wish." he said rubbing his chin for a moment, feeling his own fingers this time was a change as he pulled his hand away, imagining the cold steel of his terminator armor, instead of his warm fingers. "I came here to put to rest some ghosts of my past."

He wasn't wrong anyways. The taint was here, but it wasn't what he was used to. It was taking some time for anything to be going on as he looked at the river, the moons reflection on it as he looked at the moon. It was the first time he had saw a moon of a planet that wasn't red, that wasn't just a hole in space. that wasn't trying to eat a planet he was on.

He turned his gaze back to the girl, he wasn't sure on where to go one.

"I am known as Aurum Hyperion."

<div align=center>"Hmph, you want evil beings who rule over weak willed and weak minded people? They're called politicians"

The demoness couldn't help but give a small chuckle at that, but the information he gave was truly interesting to her, even though the pain from his defensive ability, whatever it was lifted from her the Succubus felt her powers still slow to return, her energies churned within her as a dark hunger and she felt a need to feed growing inside her. It was something she was going to have to take care of when she could.

For the time being though curiosity overwhelmed everything, he was a man out of time? A man displaced from his home? The succubus couldn't help but wonder what things were like, obviously her own kind still existed, but it seemed that in his time demons like her were controlled by more powerful beings.

"Heh, so you're not Blue, you're gold?"

The Succubus approached, slowly at first, but with a mounting confidence, eventually she even took a seat on the ground, patting the surface beside her in invitation to Aurum, although admittedly she didn't expect him to take it.

"Then we should probably talk Blue, take a seat, tell me what you know of demons, of these... Lords of Chaos, perhaps there are ways to keep them from ruling other demons in the future you come from"

She held up a hand to forestall any talk of disrupting the time stream or of paradoxes that could destroy the entire universe, she didn't care about any of that, all she cared about was that in the future he came from she would be unable to do as she pleased! She would be nothing more than a slave to someone stronger and that was not something she wanted!

"It might create a divergent time line, it might completely erase what you think of as history, but you came back here for a reason Blue, perhaps it's this, you smell like a soldier, you seem like the sort who'll take lives if he has to, what if you could stop war from even beginning?"

The demoness' eyes sparkled with a wicked sort of glee, every protestation of a lack of desire to kill mortals or cause chaos seemed to be evaporating with the sheer delight that came from the possibility of fiddling with the destiny of the entire universe!

"I don't know what ghosts of your past you came to exorcise Blue, but what if you could prevent them, they aren't ghosts of the past at the moment surely? They're ghosts of the future."

Perhaps she was naive, perhaps she was simply seeking the fun that would come from messing with an entire timeline, but perhaps, just perhaps she also had the best intentions of her own kind in mind! That would surely be a mind bending thought for the soldier, if it even crossed his mind in the first place!

But whatever the case might be for the time being she was out of danger and sharing some... Sorta civil conversation with a man from another time! She still had much to learn, about his time, about his abilities and how they interfered with hers! A mage? That answered some questions, but what powers could seal hers so completely!

"I need to learn more, if you do come from the future then you can help me, you have already shown that you can strip my powers from me and you can cause me pain just by being near me. If you can teach me how to do that then maybe I can learn to be a better demon, maybe I can help keep other demons from being controlled in the future you come from"</div>

Aurum shook his head. He didn't think what would happen if they started this early. Demons pouring out from time and space causing havoc and ruining the world. He stopped the thought for a moment and looked at the girl, he couldn't feel her power at all. He didn't really care, if needed he can turn on and off The Aegis on a whim to suit his needs. It was something that he worked yes on. Almost like thinking the word, saying it. It was him.

She seemed more interested in Aurum now. This girl who was a succubus, probably just wanted his soul. That was it. She called him gold. She kept saying blue, even if his bionic eye was blue, he wasn't sure on why she called him Blue instead of his true name. Though she seemed to know something about languages so Aurum decided to talk on it.

"Indeed. Aurum does mean Gold. It seemed appropriate given most of my gear was Gold."

He looked at the ground and shook his head at her. He wasn't a fan of nickname, since he was used to being only called Aurum or by his rank, either way he sat down and leaned against a tree, still with in arms reach of his weaponry. He felt safest near his weapons.

He was about to talk when she stopped him, he closed his eye while his Bionic eye watched her almost intently. She spoke of theories he had heard before, but he wasn't sure. He rubbed his chin as he sighed. It wasn't something he wanted to do. To play with fate, but would that fix things? Or make it worse? Was he really in the past or another universe's past. The amount of things it could be wracked Aurums mind to the point of here he had to shake his head to get back into reality.

"I think this may not be the past, yet another universe. I am not sure. I shouldn't do anything to change or create a paradox, but I should try. The Four gods that ruled in my world where the Gods of Chaos. Khorne, who wanted nothing but bloodshed. Nurgle who create toxins most foul. Slaanesh, who could change the minds of men or women just by looking, and Last Tzeentch, who was said to play with destiny like a fiddle. I know not of what they look. Only the stories."

He said, he palmed his book once more, chanting a few lines to protect his soul from damnation. It was since he said the words of the Dark Gods, some old stories were that saying their name cause corruption. He looked back at the girl.

"I cannot and will not teach you. My powers are meant to destroy your kind. No matter the weapon, I can end a demons life, make it beg. I cannot teach you what you cannot know."

He said, if she could look into his eyes, he spoke to truth, his powers were meant to hinder and destroy Demons. The very thing he was created to destroy. Something he wanted out of existence he was talking to right now. Then again a new time. New allies, even if desperate for Allies. Aurum wouldn't win alone.

"The power would destroy you from in the inside, you cannot shield yourself unless you become stronger. Even then, you will be as weak as you are now."
