Names, names that meant nothing to her, she had never heard of these demon lords that supposedly ruled in this mans time, but she made a mental note to look into them, if they did exist in this time and space then perhaps she would find a way to prevent their rise to the power they seemed to hold in the distant future, the world that from the look of the powerful man seemed to hold only war and a grim darkness.

"Slaanesh, Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch, I'll look into it"

The succubus was more than a little grouchy though as the soldier told her that he couldn't train her in the techniques he used, she had rather suspected that it was the case, but she did still hate to hear it, the thought there was something that she couldn't know, that she couldn't learn no matter the time and effort she put into it!

"Not even the basics? Not even the theories behind your abilities? You want to hunt demons that are a threat right? Demons that want to hurt humans and other life forms? Wouldn't a demon be a valuable sword? A tool of the darkness to use in the darkness?"

She was most definitely slipping into what sounded more and more like rhetoric, she suspected that he would respond better to showy words than impassioned pleas, whether it was a true, or a false impression it was one that the demoness had built of her captor.

She could easily believe in antithetical forces, light had darkness, good had evil, but there were shades of grey in between, shades that many on both sides sought to deny! How could some virtuous angel accept the existence of a demon that didn't wish to corrupt just because it was a demon, how could the blackest hearted demon believe in an angel that consorted with mortals and enjoyed the 'sins' that were supposedly against everything they held true?

And mortals... Were they always pure? Were they always evil? Both sides had their view, but it was those that mingled among humans, those like Naamah and her kin that saw both sides of humans, the good and the bad, the light and the dark, coexisting in single entities!

"No chance at all that I might prove an exception? After all you didn't kill me, your powers might have hurt but I'm not dead yet, maybe you weren't trying, but perhaps with... exposure to your abilities I can build up some kind of resistance?"

The demoness gave a small chuckle though and shook her head at her own selfish desire to learn the ways of someone who could end her life with just a sustained effort, with these abilities she could not quite figure out. She gifted Aurum one of her trademarked dazzling smile, her eyes almost aglow with curiosity and a passion to uncover what she did not know, a passion that she hoped would not prove to be her undoing.

"Please, at least let me try, that defensive... thing you used that caused me pain, can you try and activate it again? If you can keep it up then perhaps... Maybe I can try and keep it at bay?"

Selfishness, greed, perhaps! But Naamah was driven by a need to understand her nature, a need to understand what the limitations of her nature, and the limitations of her powers were, if she could overcome this weakness, then she would be stronger than others of her kind, if she could learn the abilities that had made her so weak then she would have a weapon against her own kind as well! Something told her not all demons would be quite so... Interested in humans.

Aurum was giving some thought. He was trying to find out if he could create a way to allow this girl to find out his powers, to use the same powers he has. It was going to be tricky, but it would have to deal with some complex things for him to sit down and think about, figure something out to get it to work. She was asking about the basics and he shook his head. It wasn't something he could teach. He was taught them, but he had the aptitude for them. The niche for them. She didn't seem to have it.

"I... Might, but I am not sure that your mind is able to fathom what comes of the powers. I have a strong connection to another.. Plane of existence. So to speak. I cannot teach you unless you can find this out. Once I have figured out a way to. I may assist you on that method. Until then, I am just a man searching for a new life."

He hasn't actually sat down and gave it anything on what he was going to do at all. It was bothering him to the letter. He wanted to figure out what to do with his life, but he was a soldier by trade, bred for war. And his weapons could destroy armies, his fists and skin were just as strong, just the armor was extra protection.

He wasn't sure on what he could tell her about the gods. He had no information besides what their underlings looked like, but that didn't say much about the gods themselves. They never came into the materium, they were in the Warp since he even remembered. He wasn't even sure if they existed.

"No demon has ever create a resistance, I have fought the same Demon 3 times. He couldn't resist my touch, my mind. Nor my power. My power cannot kill, it can strip and pain demons long enough for me to slay them, but I do not slay humans. That is why you are still alive. Lest I give it more thought."

He said, though he wasn't entertaining the idea of killing her, it was a time where he can change how he did things, even if it went by his beliefs he was just a soldier now with no purpose, no rules besides his own. He rubbed his eyes letting out a heavy sigh. He was still human. It was a conflict in what he knows, and what he wants. His whole life against his current needs.

He stood up and grabbed the long shaft of his Glaive, holding it in his hands as he pulled it out of the ground and spun it in his one hand and then put it back in. He had activated the Aegis again. Eventually, what ever his succubus Ally would lose her power, though depending on what she had now, it may be her consciousness that fades as well. Though. Aurum did give thought that he can create something to help her ease the pain, she would still be tampered by his powers but it wouldn't be as sever.

He had it on, it was either off or no, there was no in between.

"Even if you can, you need to prepare yourself mentally and physically each time to even move. I will look into creating a relic, but when the time comes. I require your blood or.. Something of the sort." he said strapping the Glaive to his back as he took a step towards the river. Not in an intention to leave, to show he wasn't interested in killing her.

<div align=center>Another plane of existence? She was a demon after all, perhaps she would be able to grasp the source of Aurums power a lot more easily than he thought, after all a part of her was already rooted in another dimension of sorts, perhaps she could find a way to reach the planes that this warrior/mage drew his power from.

"You fought demons from your home, not demons from this world, perhaps we are different enough? Only experience will tell though"

As the soldier activated whatever this defensive ability was again Naamah gritted her teeth and braced herself against the pain she felt coming towards her, but as she felt an alleviation in the pain that came from the warrior, as she watched him retreat her eyes flashed a more vicious violet, the slits in her inhuman eyes becoming more and more obvious as she strained against the ability that had rendered her unconscious and near powerless in the woods, that had knocked her out and left her bound and helpless.

There was a light behind her eyes, a glow that lit the darkness before her in a radiance, as Aurum retreated Naamah stepped forward, keeping the distance between them constant for a moment before attempting to take another step towards him.

"Don't stop, don't hold back"

Sweat was dripping from her forehead as waves of pain washed over her body, she felt... Empty inside, but she reached deep into that well where her power had once resided and broad wings erupted from her back, fluttering through the air as she strained to move closer to Aurum.

She was empty, she was in pain, but she was fighting against that helplessness that had gripped her when she had been unprepared. She found that if she stayed still, if she did not twitch so much as a muscle the pain lessened, it was designed to immobilize and incapacitate her, but she knew she had to move if she were to encounter other creatures with powers like his in the future!

She pressed forwards, against the pain, bracing herself with every step, but her eyes flashed brighter still as she dipped into that well that seemed void of energy, scraping every last drop of energy that she had remaining within her.

"It's not enough, it still hurts!"

Well of course it still hurt! What was she expecting! The Succubus bit down on her lower lip, and if Aurum kept up his defenses she would continue to press forward, stretching out a hand towards him, a determination on her fine features that again was all too human, it might have been a look he had seen before, on the faces of soldiers struggling against Tyranids, Orks, the forces of Chaos on worlds all across the empire!

"It's impressive, I can barely move, my breathing is labored and pained, it aches in my every limb and I feel like I'm moving through quicksand most of the time"

But the Succubus grinned as she looked to the Soldier and she backed up, putting up her hands in an almost universal sign of surrender, her wings retracted into her back and the light in her eyes dimmed, fading away almost completely, but worst of all was the hunger that gnawed in her stomach.

The very core of her energy was drained to almost critical levels and the man before her was looking much less like someone who had something she wanted to learn, and much more like something she wanted to eat!

As the thought crossed her mind she could almost feel herself salivating at the thought of how good his energy would feel, would it sate her? Would it fill her? She rather suspected it would! But the Succubus was not prepared to give in to her more basic needs, not just yet.

"Whatever that is it's crazy, I'll have to get you to do that again later, but for now... I'm toast, if I keep going I'll try and eat you"

She gave a small laugh at that though, offering him a little, cheeky wink as she collapsed to seat herself on the ground again.

"But I'm pretty sure you'd love it"</div>

He heard her words of when his Aegis was on, and Closed his eyes, waiting for her to tell him to stop. He didn't care of what happened, only if the end result was something he wasn't thinking would happen. Hearing her move closer and closer she eventually stopped and asked for it to stop.

Aurum cancelled his Aegis. The power almost passing over Naamah like wave. The Succubus was able to keep up, but not keep going. She wasn't strong enough nor brave enough to make it. He smirked a little, his Bionic eye darting to her as he turned his full body to her with his glaive in hand and he turned it around and shoved the blade into the ground.

It didn't matter it was dull, if you hit something harder enough, it will stay there. His smirk turned into a scold fast.

"The demons where I come from put humanity to the brink of destruction. If It wasn't for my brothers and I. I hate to think of what would happen."

He said. His left hard clenched into a fist just thinking about losing those he was sworn to protect was enough to enrage him as his hands slowly turned a blue, almost like a gauntlet of pure energy was on it. He stopped and the Gauntlets vanished into thin air as he panted for a moment.

"I shall create a Relic for you to hold that should give you protection. I can make them, though they will not be as nice as some that I have. If you have an item that you wish to gain this blessing, let me know and give it to me when I begin. I shall find you before that."

He said as a jest. He did understand jokes, but wasn't good at them, his serious tones never made him a good joker. So he decided to attempt it with another person instead of his brothers or the Inquisition. Or even other chapters.

He shook his head, the Aegis was meant to protect him and make it a problem for Demons to touch him or even get near him. So it was a full proof plan. Though more powerful ones didn't have that problem for the most part, they just got slower and were just enraged by it making it easier to kill sometimes.

"Remember, I have this on at all times, should you run into me or even feel my presence in the street, this situation may happen again. Though it will be on different terms."

He said with a smile on his face. It was going to be on less random terms, nothing serious going on. Just some Demon who decided to walk down the street at the same time Aurum did and just lost their powers and felt like they were going to die.

Nothing big.

He then looked upon the odd ally he had obtained. Trying to figure out what to call her he opened his mouth.

"I cannot call you Filth or Demon forever."

He was curious on her name, the only name he got from her was Lily, of same Succubus Father thing. Who knows what that was all about it. He tapped onto his Bionic eye and it shifted in and out of focus for a moment, it was making notes on her. Mainly her height, a few menial notes as well as a 'Low-Moderate' Warning on her. Just so he knew not to kill her in the future. Right away. Only if she made a move on him.

"Physical Contact with the Aegis up will cause you to burn. Then prolonged exposure will cause that portion of your body to disintegrate. He than taped on his skin that was under his Guile suit and away from what looked like to a small metal disk on his body. "As well as I am not sure on if your... Nails or Teeth can puncture my skin.

<div align=center>"Naamah, my name is Naamah, I am a student at the academy here. And I hope you don't mind if I keep calling you Blue, when I woke up it was the first thing I saw, your eyes, and the light from it"

At the thought of him creating a relic for her though Naamah couldn't help but grin, that kinda defeated the purpose of her trying to grow stronger but she did appreciate the offer, as he expanded a little more on his nature and what he believed would be her limitations the demoness could not help but grin, her hungers prodding her into goading him just a little more.

"We'll perhaps we should find out"

She snapped her teeth at the soldier teasingly, taunting him just a little before her head began to swim once more and she felt her senses hazed by the aftermath of her abuse of her power, just trying to stay on her feet was a serious struggle, it was an interesting feeling, that sensation of emptiness inside her.

But the Succubus smiled brilliantly again at the soldier, her eyes glowing brightly just a moment more before she made her way towards him again, she knew it would be painful, she knew it was more than ill advised, but the Succubus attempted to close the gap between them, if Aurum didn't pull away, if he didn't try to reactivate his Aegis to the point it caused her discomfort once more she would lean in close, attempting to land a small kiss on his cheek, he might have been taller than her, but she could always stretch to her tiptoes to reach him.

"And I'll remember your offer, but for the time being, I'm hungry"

Although she knew they wouldn't be able to penetrate his skin with them, she would lift a hand to trail it across his chest, her nails dragging across the muscular expanse honed by engineering and war.

"And I'm not going to ask you for what I need to recover, I will find you again Blue, I promise you that"

She stepped away at that, while her disorientation still gnawed at her the Succubus managed some semblance of her former grace as she turned for the forest once again, she made her way towards the trees but she could not resist shooting a small glance over her shoulder as she sought to slip away from the man she was going to enjoy playing with.

[color=teal"Remember, in the Grim darkness of the far future there may be only war, but right here, right now? This is life, learn to enjoy it while you can, you never know what even the smallest encounter in the forest could lead to"[/color]

And with that she was gone, rolling her hips with a wicked, teasing little swish, her tail extending and licking the air behind her before she vanished among the leaves like a wraith, toying with him, then leaving him alone? Leaving him to wonder just what she was doing? He knew where to find her now though and she knew she could find him again.

But for the time being she had some hunting to do, her hunger gnawed deep within her and she could no longer trust herself around Aurum, she had a city laid out before her, an academy that was her new home, it was time for her to replenish what the soldier had stolen while she was still in control of her faculties... Or else there were going to be bodies on her conscience.

For now though she was satisfied, she had found an objective, a new goal in her training, to stand before Aurum with his defensive ability at its maximum without pain! Was it impossible? Perhaps, but Naamah planned to find out one way or the other! </div>
