"Slaanesh, Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch, I'll look into it"
The succubus was more than a little grouchy though as the soldier told her that he couldn't train her in the techniques he used, she had rather suspected that it was the case, but she did still hate to hear it, the thought there was something that she couldn't know, that she couldn't learn no matter the time and effort she put into it!
"Not even the basics? Not even the theories behind your abilities? You want to hunt demons that are a threat right? Demons that want to hurt humans and other life forms? Wouldn't a demon be a valuable sword? A tool of the darkness to use in the darkness?"
She was most definitely slipping into what sounded more and more like rhetoric, she suspected that he would respond better to showy words than impassioned pleas, whether it was a true, or a false impression it was one that the demoness had built of her captor.
She could easily believe in antithetical forces, light had darkness, good had evil, but there were shades of grey in between, shades that many on both sides sought to deny! How could some virtuous angel accept the existence of a demon that didn't wish to corrupt just because it was a demon, how could the blackest hearted demon believe in an angel that consorted with mortals and enjoyed the 'sins' that were supposedly against everything they held true?
And mortals... Were they always pure? Were they always evil? Both sides had their view, but it was those that mingled among humans, those like Naamah and her kin that saw both sides of humans, the good and the bad, the light and the dark, coexisting in single entities!
"No chance at all that I might prove an exception? After all you didn't kill me, your powers might have hurt but I'm not dead yet, maybe you weren't trying, but perhaps with... exposure to your abilities I can build up some kind of resistance?"
The demoness gave a small chuckle though and shook her head at her own selfish desire to learn the ways of someone who could end her life with just a sustained effort, with these abilities she could not quite figure out. She gifted Aurum one of her trademarked dazzling smile, her eyes almost aglow with curiosity and a passion to uncover what she did not know, a passion that she hoped would not prove to be her undoing.
"Please, at least let me try, that defensive... thing you used that caused me pain, can you try and activate it again? If you can keep it up then perhaps... Maybe I can try and keep it at bay?"
Selfishness, greed, perhaps! But Naamah was driven by a need to understand her nature, a need to understand what the limitations of her nature, and the limitations of her powers were, if she could overcome this weakness, then she would be stronger than others of her kind, if she could learn the abilities that had made her so weak then she would have a weapon against her own kind as well! Something told her not all demons would be quite so... Interested in humans.
