Character used: Aghen

Aghen walked into the wing, his right arm starting to drip with blood. Oh how we wished he had a story, he always wished he had a story. Aghen could imagine himself with a bunch of people, them asking what had happened and him telling them amazing a tale about warlocks and demons and all the like and him being the heroic fighter and whatever pleased him. It wouldn't of been true, though. Aghen was too shy to make tales up.

Truth be told, Aghen simply tripped on his way here, fell a couple stories while looking out the window. He was trying to fly out, get some air, but he hadn't realized the window was too small and... How he hated his clumsiness...

Aghen sighed and walked into the hospital wing. Good first day, eh? He thought sarcastically to himself...

(Can I join?)

Nurse Ilfirn had been out gathering plants to help heal the patients in her ward, well, not her ward, but the hospital wing she was working at at the moment. Her bag was slung over her shoulder, it was obviously full. There were a few branches of various plants poking out of her bag, showing a successful harvest.

Walking at a fast pace, she pushed open the door to the infirmery, looking up to see a young man there looking a bit flustered.

''Can I help you?'' the black haired healer asked, concerned for him since he obviously came to the hospital wing.

Letting her bag fall to the ground, Ilfirin approached the young man with determination. She would not be given NO for an answer. She was like that, when in healer mode, nobody could resist her, not even the strongest of warriors. She had leaned technics over the years that could bend anybody, only the strongest of wills could resist, and even then they had trouble doing that.

(Yes, of course you can join. Thank you, I thought no one ever actually would...)

Aghen listened to the question. It wasn't that he didn't want help; for he did, badly. It was more that he didn't feel he had to need anyone, it was always like that with him. Always...

"No, thanks, but I'll ju--" And then Aghen looked into the eyes of who he was talking to, and the minute bit of will in him shattered instantly.

"Yes, I guess you can." Aghen said, noticing suddenly how rude he sounded. But being too bugged to correct himself. "I don't really need it though" he added. He was so terribly insecure, it was hard not to get annoyed by him.

When the young man refused, the nurse gave him one of her best glares, one saying that if they didn't accept her help she would put them into bed and not let them out for as long as she saw fit, which was an unusually long amount of time. Satisfied when he accepted, she grpped his uninjured arm and tugged him towards a bed.

"Sit on the bed, I will return shortly. And don't try to make an escape either." She ordered in her best 'do as I say' voice.

She walked over to a medical cabinet, all the while gathering her hair and tying it out of her face. Opening the dresser, she was met with various medical things. She simply took a couple of needles and thread as well as bandages, alcohol and washing clothes. Taking the instruments in her arms, she placed them on the small table next to the bed where the young man was sitting.

Taking rubber gloves from a box on a shelf, she turned her attention back to him.

"Give me that arm of yours." She said extending her hand. ''No, it indeed hasn't escaped my noticed, especially since you left a trail of blood in your wake"

Aghen hadn't even noticed the trail of blood behind him. He'd have to find a way to clean that, he found himself thinking to himself. Aghen extended his arm to the woman offering help (he didn't yet know who she was and didn't expect to find out) and pulled up the sleeve interfering. He didn't realize how that would hurt. Aghen gritted his teeth.

"Sorry to of taken up your time." Aghen muttered. He hoped this whole ordeal would be over soon. He was a fast healer, but he never liked pain.

Ilfirin gave the young man a compassionate smile, even if she healed faster than most people she still was stuck with the pain for a while so she understood his pain. She walked over to her bag and took a few leaves from a plant. She would give it to him to numb the pain so she would be able to work on his arms with interference.

(What is the extend of his injuries anyway?)

She offered him the plants, expecting him to take them and eat them. Seing as he probably had pieces of glass imbebbed in his arm, she took out a pair of tweezers from a shelf nearby, placing them next to the alcohol and her medical intruments.

(Its not too bad. May of naturally healed, eventually, though not too soon.)

Aghen took the plants and took a second before realizing he needed to devour them. After a while he did, and the pain seemed to subside, a little.

"Thank you again." Aghen said. Sure, he apologized too much. Far too much, but he found it semi-hard to be silent sometimes. He relaxed his wings a bit behind his back, and in fact, his body body dropped its tenseness.

Ilfirin started to gently pick the pieces of broken glass from the young man's arm , intending to clean the whole of the wound afterwards. There were few pieces and she was done rather quickly. She placed her pair of tweezers back on the small metallic table next to her and picked a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a sterilized cloth.

Putting some alcohol on the cloth, she gave him a small smile.

''This will hurt, but I will try to ba as gentle as I can.'' She told her patient.

Gently, she started to clean the wound, getting the blood out of it and taking out any dust and dirt there could beinside. She knew it probably hurt a lot, but she had to do it to prevent any infection that could occur. Humming very softly, she started to work on the arm she held in her hands, not really looking that reassuring at that moment.

She took the neadle and put the thread through the small hole on one end. Making a small and thin knot so it wouldn't slip from the needle, she started to work on clsing and tying the wound and the various bits of flesh that were cut. When the wound was finally completely closed, she took some bandages from the table next to her and wrapped the young man's arm.

''Take it easy for a few weeks and come back to see me to get the thread out in two weeks.'' She told, expecting him to follow her orders about it. ''The thread inside your skin will degrade with time while the one closing the surface will need to be taken out as the other thread would degrade too soon to be useful on an exterior wound.''

Aghen winced at the pain in his arm as the alchohol hit, but calmed his nerves quickly. He would remain in control through this procedure as well as all the other stuff I have been too lazy to go into detail on.

"Sure, I'll be sure to." Aghen said to Rayana. He did intend to come back, though in his mind, he wasn't certain whether he would have to. Aghen flapped his wings slowly, something he always did when he was nervous. What to do now, he wondered. He supposed he had to go to his next class, but it wouldn't be too easy.

(Its Ilfirin, I would have written Rayana in grey)

"There, all finished, you can go, just don't use it too much until you come to see me to get the stitches out." She told.

The nurse cleaned the various instruments and put the used fabric and gloves into a nearby trashcan. She hummed as she cleaned her work station, making sure it would be safe for her next patient.
