Pix considered his question, a simple one it seemed, yet to her it was more weighted. In the end, she decided to agree, she did miss riding, and one couldn't talk much while galloping. Moving her gaze from the ground to his eyes, she nodded, and with that climbed the fence of the paddock. Immediately she began to walk to the paint mare who'd captivated her attention, speaking in hushed tones to the animal. Reaching into her pocket before holding out a gloved hand, the animal stretched her nose forward, quickly crunching the mint that had previously been in Pix's palm. With that the raven haired girl rubbed the horse between the eyes, grabbed hold of her halter, and began to lead the animal to the gate of the fenced in area.

Mez looked at the horses and found a nice speckled mare that seemed kinda groovy to him. He smiled and approched the horse, little did he know the horse was a wild hearted horse and was quite energetic. He approched the mischevious horse and held out his hand in a friendly manner waiting for the horse to approch. The horse instead completely refused to come, giving Mez a terribly hard time. He tried again walking a bit closer, still trying to make sure the horse understood he wished to ride the horse.

The horse ignored him again, he sighed and walked towards the horse. And the horse walked further away from him still acting all innocent. Mez tried again to get to the horse but yet again the horse walked away. This went on a good 7 times before he sighed, he didn't know why he was so not talented with horses.

Pix looked up from where she was clipping the lead line to the mare's halter, it was then she spotted Mez having difficulty trying to get his horse. She almost tied the mare to the post so she could go help him, but then he'd have a difficult time riding the speckled mare since she'd believe that she was in control. Simply shaking her head slightly, she turn to the stable, letting her horse lead her to a stall with the name plate Peeka Boo. Pix quirked a brow at the name, but simply unclipped the rope from the halter, letting the horse roam her stall while the sixteen year old searched for a tack room.

Finding the room, she grabbed the bridle that was on a hook labeled Peeka Boo, she didn't grab the saddle beneath it, instead she simply grabbed a bucket of brushes. Walking back to Peeka's stall, she let herself in and began to curry the mare's multi-colored coat. If Mez wasn't in by the time she was done grooming the horse, then Pix would go out and...well she wasn't exactly sure what she'd do yet.

Mez and the horse played their little game, he chased the horse. And soon collapsed from exhaustion, the horse came to Mez and let out a high pitched nay. Which sounded much like a laugh to Mez, Mez crossed his arms. "It's not fair, you don't wish me to ride you when your a beautiful horse and you don't wish for me to ride you because you wish to make a fool out of anyone who wishes to adore your beautiful talent."

The horse was getting a laugh out of Mez' stupidity, the horses whinnied at the speckled horse. And the speckled horse snorted a reply, staying still allowing Mez to lead it. Mez took the horse's halter leading it to the stable, it moved it's head suddenly knocking him on the ground. It whinnied a laugh at him, staying still though just enjoying how stupid the young man was.

Mez got up rubbing his sore head he waited for the horse to lead him to it's stall. The horse led it to a stall with the words "Pied Piper" On it. Mez smiled, "I see where you get your personality from." He said with a chuckle.

Hearing something beside Peeka's soft snorts, Pix peered out the stall in time to see Mez being knocked to the ground. Again she shoot her head, before turning her attention to the task at hand. Finishing her circular motions with the curry comb, she then moved to a hard brush to brush away loose hair, dirt, and the like. When she finished with that she followed up with the soft brush, going through the same motions, humming a soft tune to herself as had been her habit when she used to groom horses. It was a relaxing habit in which she forgot herself, much like when she was taking pictures.

Carelessly dropping the brush in the bucket, she then pulled out the hoof pick, quickly cleaning out all four hooves. Then dropping the red pick back into the bucket, she took a step back, surveying her handiwork, her humming stopping. Peeka stood head lowered, eyes half closed, her tail swaying back and forth slowly. When Pix approached with the bridle, the mare's ears flicked forward, her head rising.

'English, soft mouth,' the one who was now buckling all necessary straps had observed before placing the bit in the horse's mouth. Instead of resting the reins on the brown and white neck, Pix kept them draped over her arm to lead Peeka from her now open stall. The pair walked out of the table, animal leading human to a mounting block. Climbing to the top, the short haired girl placed the reins over the mare's head and mounted, grasping the strips of leather in both hands. With a soft clicking sound and gentle pressure from her legs, the mare moved forward, an unnoticeable twitch of the right rein caused the animal to turn, facing the stable.

Mez groomed the horse in it's stall, Piper was annoyed at how long he took. When Pix was starting to lead Peeka out, Piper let out a whinie and Mez soon finished. He cleaned the horse's hoof quickly so Piper wouldn't kick him if he took any longer. He then picked up the bridle, he didn't know what kind it was he wasn't a often rider but he knew the important stuff. The bridle was soft so he figured it was right, he bridled Piper with ease thought Piper was getting antsy hoping Peeka didn't leave yet.

Mez soon finished holding the reigns he lead Piper out, he didn't need the mounting block since he was used to mounting without one. He approched Piper petting her nose lightly he moved to mount her. A mischevious look overcame the mare. She suddenly took three side steps away from him making him hit the ground. The mare whinnied loudly, the other horses whinnied back. Mez chuckled seeing the horse was spirited and of good humor.

He shook his head knowing the horse was in control and not him. But he didn't mind, he hated a broken spirited horse because they always seemed so dead.

She arched a brow slightly watching Mez, there was amusement in the small gesture, though her lips still showed no sign of it. Peeka stood still beneath her, but Pix could feel the tensing of muscles beneath her jean clad legs. With a tap of her heels, she gave the command that the horse had wanted. She could feel the shifting of muscles, her body moved with Peeka's, her hands moving in time with the bob of the mare's head. This is why Pix preferred bareback, she felt more in turn with the horse, and saddles made her antsy.

It may look like she was leaving Mex behind, but as she let Peeka have her head and lead the way to a trail, Pix figured Piper might see the retreating horse and follow, after allowing her rider to mount. Then again she wasn't sure, and stopping her hands from moving forward, Peeka stopped, and Pix looked back over her shoulder.

Mez hadn't saddled either, not because he preferred it. But because if he had tried surely Piper would've hurt him. And also he didn't know exactly how to fasten one on. He smirked deciding to try the surprise technic. He left Piper alone and then snuck up behind her running and jumped. But as he was in mid-jump Piper moved on purpose making him hit the ground again. He looked at Piper and Piper whinnied again. Piper was enjoying making Mez look a fool.

Piper saw how far Peeka was and let Mez mount her. She then took off bounding and trotting over the snow to catch up with Peeka. Mez didn't expect it so soon and held on tight. Piper was a very spirited horse that was for sure. He managed to weakly wave hello when they caught up to Peeka.

Pix had managed to guess at Mez's thoughts, and so when he tried the sneak attack on Piper, she got the picture of him failing horribly. Replacing the camera where it would rest safely against her soft vest, the clairvoyant faced straight ahead once more. Peeka snorted and began to prance as the other mare caught up, it was obvious was she wanted. Pix smiled for the first time that morning, the uplifted corners of her mouth quickly returning to their neutral position, but there had still been a fleeting smile.

A soft clucking sound was all that was needed for Peeka to immediately lengthen her stride, going as fast as she wanted. Pix quickly reined in the excited mare, keeping her seat by gripping with her legs as the horse slowed her gait to a canter. The raven haired girl let her body move with the rocking motion, another smile claiming her lips, though this one stayed for a second or two longer than the first.

Mez held onto Piper as Piper met Peeka and then started a little race. He sighed holding on for dear life. Piper was extremely spirited, Mez didn't mind that fact he just minded the fact that she wasn't being very kind to her rider. He held on crouching against the mare's back trying to not fall off. He wasn't a horse rider that was for sure. Finally the horse slowed to a canter and he managed to sit more uprightly. He looked at Pix with a smile.

"I guess I pick spirited horses..." Piper whinnied loudly in agreement. Mez chuckled, yep Piper was definately spirited.
