It was a hot summer afternoon. A boy in his late teens opted to spend the afternoon in the outdoors, mainly doing nothing. The hazardous ultraviolet rays from the bright light of the sun would pose as a threat to most people, health-wise, but that didn't matter to this boy. Wearing his typical dark shirt and pants and long light brown hair reaching out to the grass below, there stood Cade, sitting within the shades of a tall tree and it's branches. He had been sitting for hours now, wasting valuable time doing nothing productive, mainly napping. His hazel eyes scanned the area, looking for something to do. Suddenly, the sun's harmful rays had met with his eyes. He held his hands to his face to block them off. He slowly got up from the ground and stretched his arms out. As he did this, his beautiful black feathered wings emerged and began to flap. He slowly ascended, his feet gradually leaving the ground. When he reached a branch deep inside the tree, he grabbed onto it as his wings faded away and was now climbing the rest of the way. He seated himself there with the leaves providing some protection from the sun, hoping that nobody would see him there.
