Can't sleep

James has tried a countless number of times to sleep tonight, but something was bothering him. He didn't remember his past and he is trying to figure out what he was. He knows there's someone who can help him. But who? He decided to go to the gym and work out to relieve the stress. He stretched his muscles before jogging, then he ran up a wall and did a backwards somersault back to the ground. He then looked around and realised he can do a lot more than that now that he's in the gym. He smiled. He noticed a horizontal bar and jumped on it with his hands. He then went upside down, and swung clockwise. Well, clockwise if you're to the left of him. He jumped off to a higher pole and repeated. He then jumped and pushed himself against a wall to land his hands on a small box, where he pushed himself high enough to reach a rope. He swung to the other side and let go to land on a ladder. He climbed through it to the other side and fell to the ground, where he did three forward rolls followed by a final front somersault.

Veronica was sitting on one of the support beams near the ceiling, legs casually crossed at the ankles. It was skinner then she would have liked, but it was extremely simple for her to balance herself.
She'd levitated herself up twenty minutes ago, and although she was normally terrified of heights, she had to say it was a comfortable - and quiet - place to sit. She'd finished her homework in a flash, as always, and had lay in bed for a half hour before she realized she wasn't going to sleep anytime soon and had taken a walk, randomly selecting the gym for her destination.

Now there was someone below her, showing off for an invisible audience. She listened to him attack random features of the gym, a small smile on her face. When was he going to notice her?
Finally it was done, ending in what sounded like a summersault. Veronica laughed, the sound echoing back and forth around the gym, ringing back to her ears in an almost unearthly tone. "You're good," She allowed, listening with a small grin to the pale echoing of the two words. Could he even see her?

"Thanks" replied James. He didn't notice the girl before until he was finished, neither did he mind. "I'm James" he said calmly. He was not in the slightest tired. "And that was one of my three powers."

Another laugh, although Veronica didn't really know why. "Mmm." She stood up, wobbling for a fraction of a second in her platform shoes before steadying herself and jumping off.
She stopped inches from the ground, floating for a few seconds before gracefully touching down. "Veronica. Pleasure." She remembered her cane, calling it to one hand as she deftly took a step backwards to avoid being hit by what sounded like a dog. A student transformed, no doubt. How original... She crossed her arms, hip jutting out slightly as she surveyed the scene with a friendly smirk on her face. "You two want to be alone?" She questioned, half seriously. Maybe he was showing off for his girlfriend... She couldn't help a quick roll of the eyes at the thought, knowing neither of them could see the motion behind her sunglasses.

James stood up, annoyed at the wolf-like creature. He could forgive her for now - she was probably just messing. "Nah, you're alright" he said to the other girl, not knowing her name. "By the way, what are your names?" he asked curiously. He turned to the wolf, not knowing she was infact a student. "I'm James" he said to her, thinking she won't understand him.

"Veronica," She introduced herself again, raising an eyebrow at the way he was talking to the other student. "You think she's actually a wolf, don't you?" She grinned, tapping her foot lightly on the floor. "Have you heard her? She sounds nothing like a wolf, acts nothing like a wolf." She crouched down to be eye level with the girl, tilting her head to the side so her black hair swept down towards the floor. "No offense, sweets. I'm sure you'll figure it out once you get used to having powers."

James was utterly shocked: not a wolf? Was Veronica having a joke? Well, that's what James gets for watching too much TV. He just said slowly "...right."

wolf howled and jumped high in the air transforming in midair, as she landed she stood tall, human form. bowing towards the boy she turned to face veronica "watch what you say, i know my powers i've had them since i was little, i've lived for months with a wolf pack i was alphaess.i'm just original, i can morph into a real wolf when i want to."she said smiling apolegtically at the boy."my names alexia , and sorry" she grinned and brushed her hair out of her eyes, making sure her bandana was still secure she smiled again. she sighed and sat on the floor and started to morph again. first her tail came, huge and bushy, then her legs grew longer smaller paws replacing her feet, claws growing. she smirked and her face stretched out, her nose thining and blackening to the wolf's nose, fur sprouting from her face and down her body, snow white fur. she opened her mouth and sharp canine teeth replaced her human ones."like i said watch it, plus i can change my fur color" she said growling deep in her throat and she stood, the gym lights glinting off her fur, she smirked.

Veronica grinned over at the boy, partly from the always wonderful feeling of being right, and partly over the fact that the girl had played right into her hand. Ah, the students at this school were so predictable... Always hot-headed, wanting to prove themselves.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I suppose you are quite talented... I mean, just look at you change your fur color!" She put her hands on her hips, a small smile playing on her lips. Did the girl know she was blind? Probably not. Besides, she had no doubt that the display was mainly for James' benefit. Ah well, not that she cared. But still, how could a girl like this become Alphaess of a wolf pack? She didn't believe her, frankly. Still, she didn't care enough to bring the topic up...

She clapped lightly when it seemed to be over, bending down again and holding out her hand. "I'm Veronica. Can you shake for me?" She questioned, in a voice largely reserved for talking to either house pets or babies.
