There was just something about going to class that motivated Aswan.

Maybe it was the scratching of the countless pencils around her, or the feeling of being able to solve anything put in front of her as easily as blinking or waving her hand.
It kind of hindered that feeling when she was out of her element, though, as so many teachers struggled to get that "group participation" mark in for thier students.
Group projects.

At the moment, the teacher was talking about a group project. Something about grouping up and writing down one interesting thing about their powers.

Sighing, she shook her head and turned to the seat behind her.

"Would you like to group up?"

"Hey, yeah, sure... " Liliana said sort of surprised when Aswan asked her if she wanted to partner up with her. She had a few classes with the girl, spirit, and had found it rather fascinating that she had decided to pursue a somewhat normal life than passing over to the afterlife. Maybe she had unfinished business? Liliana did not know, and had never asked, nor felt it was appropriate to ask really.

It was only after she'd gotten an affirmation from the girl did Aswan recognize her face. Hadn't she had a few classes with her? She furrowed her brows, trying to remember what this girl's name was. Lily? No, Lilaine... Lilian?
It came to her just as she opened her mouth to ask her. "Wh - right, you are Liliana, correct?" She narrowly missed saying the whole what. "I believe we've met before?"

"Yes, we have, well, kind of... we are in a few classes together and your locker is near mine," Liliana explained when the girl asked if they had met before. Not wanting to add that she also recognised Aswan because she was a ghost and Liliana could actually tell and see that about her.

"Ah. That must be it then. I am Aswan, by the way: it's nice to officially speak to you." Taking a pen out from her pencilcase and whipping her notebook around, full of pristine notes, she uncapped the pen and held it in the writing position, by all means looking like a secretary or something akin to one. Like she was about to take a test.

"So, er... what do you find interesting about your powers?" she asked Liliana, tapping the pen on the paper.

Well, she's efficient and doesn't beat around the bush, Liliana thought to herself, a tiny bit amused by how eager and straight to the point Aswan was.

"Well... " Liliana said as she leant forward on her desk as she talked to Aswan, "I think it's interesting that I can house a person inside of me, sort of like a protective shield," she explained. "I don't know many people that can do that," she confessed. "Oh, and I can create weapons and other objects out of thin air using radiowaves which I think is pretty dang cool too." ...

"Interesting."
Aswan's eyes gleamed from the first word. Now that was interesting. She'd expected soemthing like telekinesis or telepathy, something a lot of people would know about, or even something more out of the ordinary, even monstrous (you never knew with this island) - but she was pleasantly surprised. Housing a person inside of her... almost like a possession? It made Aswan curious as to what she was. Creating weapons out of what seemed to be thin air, but was actually radio waves? That was also interesting!

It was so interesting to her, it showed on her face, in her eyes, in the pen she was scribbling with.
"That is truly interesting! I wonder how it works...! It's much more interesting than being a ghost, by all means it is." There was no hesitation in writing it all down.

Liliana grinned widely at Aswan's reaction to her powers, leaning over her desk a bit more, tipping it a bit forward to get a glance at everything Aswan was writing down in her notebook. "Yeah, they are pretty interesting, not sure how the housing thing works, but the radiowaves... that's just me being to gather enough of them to make a solid object. It sounds waayyy more complicated than it really is..." she told Aswan.

"Hey, that's cool, you are a ghost and I am a psychopomp, a spirit guide... I am like, well, a concierge for the recently deceased," she explained with a grin, adding jokingly, "My days are often like... "Off to your left is hell, on your right is limbo and if you go straight and around the corner, there is heaven's cafeteria for your enjoyment."
