Private Finished Can Plants Get Lost?

"I don't do it all the time, you know. Sometimes, I just watch. Sometimes, I participate in bet-taking. Mostly, I just enjoy fighting... and not because it's violent-- okay, so maybe it is. But I don't do it because I want to beat people up. I just... enjoy the sport," Kalvin said, rather defensively too. For some reason, Kalvin immediately felt like he needed to defend himself. Not many people found out about his hobby. When they did, they were either already part of the underground operation and just happened to see him there.

Carmin was the first person in Manta Carlos to have even found out about it. "Some people like to go fishing or playing golf. I like to join fights. I don't see the problem. Plus, I don't usually get too beaten up," he added. When he spoke again, there was a bit of a fond smile on his face. "This one was worth it though."

Kalvin considered Carmin's worry. It was strange to hear concern from him. Less than an hour ago, Kalvin thought the plant guy hated him. Then again, in that same time frame, Carmin never knew this side of him. It was probably the fact that he also got beaten up tonight that made Carmin worry over his well-being. Anybody else probably would, right?

"I appreciate the concern. I'll think about it," Kal said. He knew about which arena Carmin was talking about. He had heard of it too but the appeal of it just didn't click with him. It was too... WWE for him. Or at least it seemed like it. He preferred UFC-type spaces. Then again, he had probably visited the place on a weird day. In all honesty, maybe he would check the place again for Carmin's mental sake. "But... wow. I can't believe you're actually concerned about me," he said with a sly, teasing grin aimed at Carmin.

Kalvin shook his head. He wasn't going to die. Not until he finished his business. "You know, if I knew I'd die fighting in the cage or ring, I wouldn't enter," Kalvin said. "Besides, these things aren't a fight to the death. And if anybody got too violent... well, they have magicks to deal with that kind of violence."

Kalvin pulled his jacket tighter around his body. It was cooling off now, but at least the jacket was doing its job. He then realized what Carmin said earlier. Did this kid know someone who died before? "Why would you feel bad if I died anyway? Up until an hour or so ago, you seemed to dislike me."

"Well, there's a first time for everything. That includes your flower getting taken from you. And now, you know what happens when someone takes it," Kal said. He glanced at Carmin. "Also, I just did what anybody else would've done in that situation. I tried to help you... Only, I guess it turns out you never really knew you needed it at the time. Is nothing really coming back to you? Don't you remember even a single thing about the incident before the flower grew back?"

Kal looked around. Yeah, it was close to here where he first found Carmin. So the guy had a total blackout of the incident. Why didn't Carmin know about that though? Kal was assuming he came from a family that had the same plant-like features. He'd certainly seen many others who looked to be in a similar race as Carmin. Or were they all different races like there were different flower species? Either way, Kal needed to being his inquiries with a good starting question.

"I'm just curious," he began slowly, unsure about how he should ask it. "Didn't anybody tell you what would happen if your flower got plucked out of your head like that? Not your mom or dad?"
